Our take on the Metra 99-7803 Dash and Wiring Kit

Your 2003-2007 Honda Accord is a great car, but the console design makes it difficult to upgrade the factory radio. Metra's dash and wiring kit replaces the factory radio panel, allowing you to install an aftermarket DIN-sized (2" tall) or double-DIN (4" tall) receiver in the Accord's dash panel. It retains all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning controls, in vehicles with either single- or dual-zone controls.

The kit includes all climate controls found in the Accord, and its gray finish is a perfect match for the color, texture, and contours of your dash. The LCD display and all controls on the adapter are backlit when you turn your headlights on, and you can adjust the color to your tastes. All factory functions are retained. Warranty: 1 year.

Notes: The package includes a harness that plugs directly from your Honda into the Axxess ASWC adapter (not included), allowing you to retain your steering wheel audio controls with a new car stereo. For the display backlighting to work with the headlights, the adapter's illumination wire must be connected to the new car stereo's illumination wire.

Note: Most vehicles will require additional installation parts — please identify your vehicle if you haven’t done so. You can also call an Advisor for more information.

Unit looks great in my Accord. Wiring harness took a little bit to assemble but between the head unit I used and this units user manuals, I was able to complete with ease. Controls take little bit to get used to but work fine.

Pros: Good fit, clean install, looks great.

Cons: 100% plastic, kind of worried about durability for the price paid.

Overall good product, just a bit expensive. Hated paying more for this than I did for the stereo I was installing. I was only able to find 1 other product that would do the same job and was nearly $200 more.

Pros: Looks much nicer than the factory dash, and allows use of an aftermarket stereo

Cons: Way to expensive

Great kit. Looks good and fixes the problem of having an old dead stereo in the dash. Pretty easy to connect and install.

Pros: Eliminates relying on old stereo to regulate dash back lights. Replacement controls work great.

Cons: none

I purchased this product for a 2004 Honda Accord. Overall, it is a solid product and delivers as promised. The Crutchfield staff were extremely helpful during the install.

Pros: Great fit and finish. All stock functionality remained intact.

Cons: The instructions are straight forward. Only issue that I ran into was self induced. There were several sets of instructions provided with the Kenwood head unit, Metra parts, SWI, and finally Crutchfield. I followed the Crutchfield instructions for dash disassembly thinking it was an all encompassing set of instructions for this install for my year, make, and model. There was a step I missed in the Metra instructions that was crucial for reassembly. A few calls to Crutchfield set me straight.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good product, but the operations do not perform as well as the OEM equipment. The adjustable display color seems to lack the most prevalent color, which is white to match the other dash colors. Luckily I was able to adjust it to a close enough color to match my cluster since I keep the intensity low. Also, the buttons do not change with the color adjustment, they are an orange color when illuminated in the dark.

Pros: Nice looking kit. it fits pretty well. Probably the best, if not the only, alternative to installing an aftermarket radio in the original dash location for the Honda accord.

Cons: The lower support brackets are flimsy and I broke one during installation of the screw into the bracket. The screw did not even get tight before the bracket broke. For the automatic dual climate control version, the fan speed and temperature are sometimes erratic. I am currently working with Metra for a resolution. There is much information on the web with similar problems.

Functions perfectly

Written by: Waterdog from Massachusetts on December 20, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I gave this 5 stars for functionality. It worked perfectly, including the dual zone auto climate control. Be aware that it does not look as good as the OEM unit, the cubby space will no longer have a cover, and that you will need to cut to a piece of the bracing behind the head unit - but if you are willing to put up with those items, you will be able to add an aftermarket head unit and keep the cubby space available.

Pros: works perfectly Easy install if you are comfortable taking your console apart and removing the head unit You still have the cubby space after installing an aftermarket head unit

Cons: Does not look as nice as the OEM head unit Does not have a door on the cubby

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The kit was not a drop in physical fit on my 2003 Accord. I had to cut off about 1/2 inch of the bottom of both side plastic pieces in order for the unit to fit and allow the upper dash part with vents to mostly fit correctly. All cables fit fine, but I have issues operating the blower where settings are not working as chosen or they catch up after a while like when keyboard commands queue up on a computer. If I change from one blower mode to another it may or may not change. For example, if I change from air on top and at the feet to just top, it may or may not change the airflow immediately. Sometimes it might change 5 minutes later. Not sure if there is a firmware issue or something like that with the module.

Pros: Mostly fits my 2003 Correctly. Looks like the radio is built in. Connection to the car with easy-one cable. Other than the modification I made to the side plastic pieces, it was easy to install in the car.

Cons: Fit in my accord required some modifications and mostly fits, but is not as built in as I would have expected for the price. Too expensive for what you get and given that I had to make modifications.

best option for replacing factory radio

Written by: MaFer from Puerto Rico on October 14, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

it was easy to install, and it looks quite alright for basically changing your ac controls and dash a bit. it was the best route to go to instead of having two radios (a non-working huge factory radio in the middle of your dash and a working on the bottom drawer). buy your radio with Crutchfield to get discounts

Pros: great and best replacement for the factory radio and easy to use and install

Cons: expensive if you buy it by itself and it is the basically the only option out there for best looks

Best bet for changing from factory radio on 07 accord. Easy to follow instructions and works great. I did have to cut out a small section of plastic from the dash (not the metra 99) to make fit but it is clearly described in instructions where and how. Crutchfield gives discount when you buy with aftermarket radio which helps with budgeting. took me about 2 hours to install counting wiring and installing the aftermarket radio which was the hard part and i have no experience with doing this.

Pros: makes changing your radio to aftermarket much easier and get you ready to upgrade later too if you should choose. directions easy to follow.

Cons: cost more than the radio i put in it but otherwise none that i can think of.

Does not work w/ Auto Climate

Written by: WayneH from Maryland on August 13, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It did not work with the automatic climate control on my 2006 Accord at all. Alternated between HOT & COLD with no in-between. I returned it & reinstalled my factory radio/climate controls w/ the same new Clarion FX503 mounted underneath. Works perfect & looks much better to boot. The only tradeoff is the loss of the storage bin, but that is a trade I would make any day.

Pros: easy to install

Cons: doesn't work at all

This is your only option. It's clean and works fine, but it's not great. My biggest complaint is that once installing this kit, you lose the use of the factory dash pocket. You have to replace it with a cheap plastic hole. After looking at the back of the kit, I'm sure it could have been spaced to allow the factory pocket to still be used. If you know someone who can do a custom dash molding, talk to them...

Pros: It's an option instead of having two stereos in your car.

Cons: Overpriced. Cheap feeling. Not exactly flush fitting. Loss of factory dash pocket.

I only bought this kit because it fit my car. I didn't want to have the factory radio on the top and an aftermarket radio in the lower part of my dash. It looks good though. I was having trouble with the climate controls because there is a specific was to initialize this kit. All is fine now I hope. I'll know more this winter!!

Pros: Fits my car Color matches dash

Cons: Climate controls a bit off.

Over-priced plastic with directions that leave you hanging.

Pros: Fit dashboard

Cons: Thick plastic rails do not allow use of supplied screws. Required web search to determine wire color connections which being standardized could have been included. DIN opening did not allow use of fascia ring supplied with radio.

Durable, looks good, and good fit. Flexible wiring options depending on your car needs. Read the instructions about initial setup of the software to make sure it recognizes your car's equipment. Adjustable colors on illuminated display. Some Accords (maybe just Manual Trans) have "crossover cable box" that is needed off of old dashboard unit to get front speakers to function (not in instructions but Crutchfield easily determined and instructed).

Pros: Durable, looks good, and good fit

Fit is good with only slight gap above head of installed Kenwood double din radio and slight gap between dash unit and replacement pocket Metra 88-00-7803 below. Installed in 05 Accord LX with manual temp control. Color and texture are a close match to original. Easy to install, does require trimming of some plastic bracing in the dash which is described in instructions. Seems to be constructed pretty well, not flimsy, and fastens in place solidly with no rattles. Temp control could use finer tuning ability as adjusting 1 setting can sometimes be a change of too many degrees for optimum comfort. Setup was very easy for this car with manual temp control, this does leave a couple of unnecessary buttons though.

Pros: Easy install and setup. Good match with interior finish. Looks much better than leaving old radio in place with new radio below. 1/2 price when purchased as part of package deal.

Cons: Temp control adjustment not fine enough. Unnecessary buttons for manual temp control system. Expensive.

Not a good fit for me

Written by: Al SoNJ from Collingswood, NJ on January 26, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This unit did not work satisfactorily for me. I replaced a 7BK0 unit (in '03 Accord with 6-CD player) with this one and had problems from the get-go. It was installed by someone who installs radios/CDs for a living, and he professed to have experience with this kit. Some of the issues I had: --There was a clicking sound under the dash on driver's side (I think a vent was rapidly opening and closing), and the word "outside" flashed on the display. This occurred even if the key was not in the ignition. My installer talked to Metra engineers trying to resolve this problem, but it never was. --The "Auto" function worked poorly, IMO. When in "Auto," the unit cycled between putting out hot temp, followed by cool air. It did not maintain a consistent cabin temperature. The only way that I could keep a somewhat consistent temperature was to override the "Auto" setting altogether and use manual controls. --Drafty! Even using the manual controls, there was a persistent draft in the cabin that I usually felt on my left hand while driving. I could not tell exactly where it was coming from, but it was especially noticeable in the colder weather. After six months I'd had enough. I decided to replace it with a reconditioned Honda unit (7BK0), the same unit that I had replaced. Once again I have consistent, comfortable temperatures in the cabin. Including installation, my total out-of-pocket costs for this unit and the reconditioned unit are around $1,000. That's an expensive radio repair.

Pros: --Good way to get rid of unwanted money. --Great way to support your local auto audio person by paying him to put in the Metra unit and six month later to pay him again to take it out.

Cons: Refer to the review.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This unit installed very easily and works beautifully. I have dual auto AC, and the unit works perfectly to control it. I bought this as a package deal with a double-din head unit, the cubby to go underneath, and the steering wheel control module. Everything went together very easily and worked perfectly, and I'm a complete novice! My only note on this is that neither the original storage bin nor the new cubby look quite right once installed. I tried both just to see what the difference would be. The original storage bin's door will not open and close, but worse, there are huge holes between the storage unit and the stereo, so that you can see into the dash cavity. With the new cubby, there is a gap between the Metra stereo unit and the new cubby, and another gap between the ashtray and the new cubby. It is noticeable. We aren't too concerned about it, but if you're looking for a true factory appearance, I think you might be disappointed.

Pros: Functionality is near perfection.

Cons: Fit and finish could be better.

So why didn't the car manufacturer think of this?

Written by: Matt S. from Ruckersville, VA on December 25, 2014

Ordered this as a package with a digital receiver. Installed you cannot tell this isn't OEM gear. Controls AC/Fan like factory controls - double-din radio option allows maximum flexibility. Chose a Pioneer single-din replacement unit w/BT and my son now has the best of "all" worlds...

Pros: integrates with factory AC/Fan, allows for wide range of replacement radios, easy install (for me), reasonable cost

Cons: umm - it didn't install itself

Fit and finish are great. Only thing that could be nicer is if the buttons were more of a solid material instead of rubbery, but all and all I'm very happy with the install kit. Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

O.k. So let me set up this review by starting with some background info. I drive a 2005 Honda Accord LX as a daily commuter car. It has 150k miles and I see no need to replace it. The stock radio went bad and I wanted to replace it with a head unit that offered bluetooth connectivity. I didn't like the idea of replacing a usable pocket with a new radio and having a large portion of my dashboard being left dark with the defunct stock radio. I read TONS of reviews about this product. I even called a friend of mine who used to do installations for a living. He said I'd have no problems with this product and ordering from Crutchfield as a package would be cheaper than HE could get for me. I ordered it and I have been VERY pleased. I was a little confused with some of the wiring, but once I figured out there were some wires that were just not used, it all made sense. Fit and finish is very nice. It looks OEM. Again, as this is my daily driver, I am very utilitarian with this vehicle, so I am not over critical about it. It looks even better than I anticipated and functions very well. Worth the price at 1/2 off with the package deal. And it's made in U.S.A.!

I wasnt sure how i would like this kit reading some other reviews. But i love it. It does everything it says it does. It went together easy with my jvc ddin cd player. I have manual air/heater. It seems like it doesnt push the air out quite as hard as the stock air did. But it still works perfect. I also bought the pocket for under the stereo witch is ok it seems to get a lil hot when running the heat. I think ima put the stock pocket bk in with the door left up. It can with all the harnesses to basically plug and play it. The dash kit or the buttons didnt feel as cheap as other reviews iv read. They dont fell like the buttons will fall off it feels pretty sturdy. And i cant beat half off the price with a stereo. BEST PRICE IV SEEN!! AND CRUTCHFIELD IS THE BEST AT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Pros: Easy to install and half price from anywere else.

This was made specifically for the accord. The radio in my 2005 Accord finally gave out, it didn't even display time anymore :( I didn't want to put one in the compartment below and leave the blank and useless radio up top so this did exactly what I needed. It also looks great, I put a double din receiver in (pioneer fh-x700bt) and it looks beautiful. Pretty good deal if you buy both the receiver and the metro adapter together plus comes with instructions. Took me a little over 2 hours to take everything apart and put this in with the receiver and I'm a complete rookie never having done anything to any car. Someone below said that there aren't any light up buttons, but there are, all the buttons light up when headlights are turned on, looks great. The hardest part was probably shoving the little compartment back under the unit after installing it oh and having to saw off a piece of the dash, you have to cut pretty close to where the clips will go in order to make it fit, so be careful. Tools used: Screwdriver (flat and phillips) Needle-nose plier small saw or something to cut off piece of dash Plier that can strip the cables of the receiver Flashlight

Pros: It works really well with the heat/ac Can change the colors to match your receiver perfectly can put in double din receiver matches dash

Cons: The compartment under the dash stays open or closed, I opted for open, they sell an additional compartment but I didn't know about it until after I installed it, I don't think its necessary although it might look nicer. Doesn't have a clock on it, which would've been nice, but the receiver does so its ok.

So I've had this in for about 2 weeks now, and the best I can say is that I like it. I wanted an in dash DVD player, so this was my only option. The kit matches the rest of the dash color, it fits in very well, although I did have to cut a piece that held up the OEM radio. The kit keeps full functionality of the air conditioning controls, which I'm glad it did. The only thing that slightly irritated me was the price for it.

Pros: The only way to get a double din radio in the dash, keeps air conditioning controls & ease of use.

Cons: Not worth the $$

The Metra 99-7803 Factory Integration Adapter fits my 2003 Honda Accord LX like it was built for the car. Installation with the included instructions was easy with a few plastic trim removal tools of my own. Fit and function is also good.

Pros: Fit looks factory. Half price through Crutchfield is a good deal.

Metra 99-7803 Dash and Wiring Kit

Written by: Anonymous from Cincinnati, OH on December 29, 2013

This adapter works as advertised. It supports both automatic climate control and manual. BE WARNED if you have a manual climate control and you plug it in to the auto by mistake you will PERMANENTLY BREAK IT. This is not mentioned anywhere in their manual. To install the adapter you have to cut out a cross piece of plastic in the dash which was a bit of an unsettling surprise. The adapter doesn't allow for the factory pocket that has a closing door to be reinstalled so make sure to get the accompanying open pocket. Aside from this the adapter has proved capable of performing the intended functions.

Pros: Does what it said it would do

Cons: Can break it if you aren't careful with the initial plug installation, lose factory pocket, have to hacksaw a piece of plastic out of your dash

The product fulfills its purpose. However, the design of the product makes the factory pocket storage under the stereo useless unless you purchase the companies adaptor kit. Seems as those this could have been manufactured to keep all factory features of the car. In addition, the AC controls are not very intuitive and take more getting used to than I was expecting.

Pros: Allows double DIN installation of stereo

Cons: Loses storage pocket for no good reason. AC controls not very intuitive.

I chose this option because I did not want to install a stereo in the accessory pocket and have a useless radio on the dash. I have only a small amount of experience installing car stereo equipment, but this installation was very easy and took no more than an hour or so. The ability to change the color of the backlight to match the stereo is a plus. All climate controls work just as they should and the plastic matches the rest of the dash very well.

I was skeptical at first, but I am very happy with this Metra kit. The color and texture blends very well with the rest of the dash, the HVAC connections and buttons work just as they are supposed to. Installation was moderately easy. I gave it a 4/5 because it does not sit fully flush with the dash, but it is not too noticeable.

Pros: Nice look, Moderately easy to install, easy to use HVAC controls, nice position for aftermarket radio

Cons: Does not sit completely flush with the rest of dash

My stock stereo in my 2003 Accord finally died. I didn't want to get a harness kit to fit into the storage pocket as I have a manual transmission and it would sit right behind the stick shift. I got this Metra installation kit to replace the stereo and climate controls. I had one of the guys from work install it and, with about a 45 min break in the middle, only took about 2 hours. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and it works perfectly.

I purchased this item to go in my 2005 honda accord. Without this adapter you will have to install any aftermarket stereo in the lower pocket under the factory radio. It got old quickly having to look far down by the shifter to control my new stereo. This item allows you to remove the factory radio and bring my new stereo at a reasonable distance. The product is a bit pricey, but it is very easy to install and works perfectly. I'm happy with the unit but it is an expensive piece. I will note that I was able to fit the pocket back in place but you will not be able to open and close the door. Don't waste your money buying the pocket made by Metra. They will tell you the factory one wont fit, but this isn't true.

I had this kit installed about 2 weeks ago in my 2007 Honda Accord. I was skeptical about getting it from some of the reviews but I gave it shot anyway because I wanted a double din head unit to fit comfortably in my dash. The kit actually blends in pretty good with the rest of dash and looks pretty good. Full dash Kit for 2005 honda Accord

Written by: Tom from Ontario California on June 11, 2013

Well I can say this kit went in my mothers 2005 Honda Accord with out a hitch. Later that night when I was driving the car I notice the push buttons lit up and was easy to read and use for myself and when I returned the car to my mother who is in her 60s with weak eye sight shehad no problems working the AC controls. However there are some pros and cons with this kit.

Pros: Easy install took less than a half hour for me to install it. Nice texture real close to stock feel. Ac controls self programed itself came with a small pocket for use with a single din radio.

Cons: Wish the buttons were labled a little better to know what button turns the unit on and off. I found that the button marked with a pictur of the large fan turn the unit on while you had to push a differant button to turn it off. I wish it was just one button for on and off. But since my mom can live with it so can i since i wont have to field phone calls from her. The next con I have is it is not possible to use the stock flip up pocket door underneath the radio it would then get 5 stars.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This item was installed on a 2007 Honda Accord. I didn't know that it was required because that's an older model car and usually you just swap the stereo out. But I am so glad I decided to order this because it works perfectly! Although I must admit I had to get a 2nd one because the original one I got was defective. Only took about 5 days for me to get the replacement from Crutchfield and that one worked magnificently. It controls the AC and heat pretty easily, was super easy to program as well - just one button. I like that you can adjust the color of the display unit to match the stereo color.

Pros: Easy to program, blends well with factory interior of car

Cons: Not compatible with the bottom closing hatch of the factory Honda. You'll need to buy a replacement compartment or leave it as is, but it won't be able to close anymore.

Don't buy if you have a Automatic Climate control

Written by: Kris from Houston on May 14, 2013

Your guy's system may be good for the manual AC systems in the Honda Accord but for the automatic climate control systems you are not good at all. Now my AC blows cold then it will blow hot air until it decided to blow cold air again it won't just shut off or adjust airflow accordingly like the factory controllers do. I am very disappointed in you guys. The people at Mobile One had to keep my car an extra week just working on your harness. They had to go through two different kits until they got this one to sort of work. The first one blew only cold air and would not take a programing update. The second one blew only hot air and it too would not take an update. Now the third one appeared to work in the shop but when put into real driving around use it failed. Anyone who is thinking about buying this to upgrade their Accord and they have the automatic climate control (dual or single) stay away until they get this thing fixed.

Pros: It is a solution to upgrade the factory radio.

Cons: It doesn't work on the automatic climate control Accords at all. I am returning mine.

Don't recommend it

Written by: Paulh from Indianapolis, IN on April 30, 2013

I had/have the problem with the OEM radio turning on and draining the battery. Put in this adapter and in 2 days i had no fan on the heat and A/C called and Crutchfield sent another. Still same problem after new installed, had to replace blower motor resistor! After a few days it blew resistor again. It was under warranty so auto part store replaced. Over next 2 months it blew through 5 more resistors. ONe of them went out in 30 minutes! Auto parts store said in the 12 years he's worked there, never had one go bad. Cust Service said no one has had this problem and send me another adapter. Got the new one and packaging had changed, and supposedly can update firmware through usb, but not easy to get to usb on back of adapter. At this point i just said forget it, the auto parts place wouldn't give me another resistor just gave my money back and sent me on my way. Had to goto another store to get resistor. I have since gone back to the OEM radio, it doesn't have the features of the alpine which i loved, but would much rather have heat and a/c than a radio. I just make sure i turn the radio off before i get out of the car. Crutchfield support and customer service were great, never argued about the problems and were quick to send a replacement piece so no complaints about them at all, just don't recommend this adapter. Not much else you can do on the accord other than put in bottom pocket and leave OEM stereo dead above.

Pros: None

Cons: No fan for heat and a/c after installed.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The adapter is alright. It doesn't match the brown color of my car interior but their weren't any other options. The auto button gets stuck almost every time and I have to pick it out with my finger. The buttons are terrible for the most part and is a huge downgrade from the stock climate control panel. It doesn't even look fancy so I'm really not impressed at all. My new radio is great though! I love the radio but the adapter is just plain awful. Hard to use buttons and looks like a 3rd grader tried to meld it together. It's cool though, work with what ya got!

Pros: It works

Cons: Just about most things about it. Buttons are awful, auto gets stuck and it won't turn off unless you can dig out the auto button. It's ugly and doesn't match the car. It's extremely expensive for a crappy piece of plastic that does no justice to the car.

This adapter works, but the fit and finish make it look cheap. The controls are OK, but the display is very small and difficult to view when driving and wanting to change the air flow mode or just verify the settings. Installation required a Dremel tool to cut the dash mounts to fit. Overall the dash adapter fits but lowers the aesthetics of the interior.

Pros: Adapts the Dual Mode AC and allows a single DIN aftermarket radio to be installed. It works for the most part.

Cons: Looks are everything and this looks cheap. Color and texture are so far off.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall takes a little time & patience to install, I think looks simplified & better than factory controls, & the fitting fits seamlessly into the factory dash, but you can't reinstall factory pocket folding door on bottom just the pocket. Also if there is any wires coming from the back of the stereo (Like usb, ipod wire, or hooking cables from cabin to back of stereo, etc...) then you can run them from/to back of stereo through center pocket more easily without the folding pocket door installed (for instance, I have a extra usb cable from the back of my stereo to the center pocket which in my stereo will hook-up and/or charge a usb device if needed).

Pros: Fits seamlessly/Looks a little better than stock/All buttons light up at night/Can change color of lcd to your liking/All factory settings are still intact

Cons: Takes some getting used to/Have to press mode a couple times to cycle through fan modes/Takes a little time to install/Can't keep factory fold up pocket door, but still retains factory pocket

We had the problem with the Honda radio turning on by itself and draining the battery. We read online where new Honda OEM radios had the same problem. We saw this kit online from Crutchfield and purchased it with a Kenwood receiver. Installation was fairly easy, just make sure you follow all the instructions one step at a time. Patience is a virtue. One reviewer says it is not illuminated, it is. When the lights are on each button is individually back-lit. Our car does not have dual controls but both temperature controls work. Be careful making up the wiring harnesses and you should have no electrical problems.

Pros: Fit is excellent, looks as good as factory. It's my wife's car, she loves it.

Cons: Electrical stuff makes me nervous. Always disconnect the battery.

OK here we go 1. looks almost as good as factory 2. fits really well 3. came with everything needed 4. works great 5. The display has adjustable colors However it is a little bright at night. 6. I installed a Sony WX-GT80UI along with this and the lower pocket drags on the bottom of the radio when you open or close it(I don't think this would happen with a single din unit) 7. The climate control buttons are NOT back lit so they are hard to see at night.8. The screws that came with the Radio are to short to use with the mounting arms that come with this unit I had to get some longer screws(BE CAREFUL THEY ARE NOT TO LONG AND DAMAGE YOUR STEREO UNIT) In my opinion this is the only viable option as the lower pocket install leaves a lot to be desired in the way of how it looks plus then you lose the handy storage area that I use all the time. 05 Accord Coupe
