1x2 HDMI Splitter: Metra's CS-1X2HDMSPL2 HDMI splitter incorporates a single HDMI 2.0 input with two HDMI 2.0 outputs allowing you to share a single standard definition, high definition, or ultra high definition source device (like a Blu-ray player, Game Console or Satellite/Cable receiver) with two displays (like your flat-panel TV or front projector).

HDMI 2.0 w/ 4K Support: Metra's 1x2 HDMI 2.0 splitter is compatible with ultra-HD video resolutions up to 4k @ 60Hz with support of 12-bit YCBR 4:2:0 color subsampling. It is also compatible with high definition video up to 1080p @ 60Hz; even 3D video. In addition it supports 480i standard definition video. The splitter is capable of receiving and transmitting video bandwidths up to 300Mhz/10.2Gbps.

Up to 7.1ch Audio: The 1x2 HDMI 2.0 splitter supports up to LPCM 7.1ch, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio.

HDCP 2.2 Compliant: HDCP 2.2 is supported by all of the HDMI splitter's inputs & outputs; HDCP is short for "High bandwidth Digital Content Protection" and is used for 4K video copyright protection for compatibility with 4K Blu-ray players and 4K Satellite/Cable providers.

EDID Control: Metra's CS-1X2HDMSPL2 HDMI splitter can be setup to use its own EDID settings or read the EDID settings of your display device. EDID stands for Extended Display Identification Data.

EDID STD Mode: In this mode, the splitter will use its own built-in EDID settings. The splitter's video output will be set to 1080p @ 60Hz and the audio output at LPCM 2ch stereo. You should use this mode if there are display problems in EDID TV mode.
EDID TV Mode: In this mode, the splitter will read the EDID settings of your display device connected to the splitter's HDMI Out 1. If it detects a 4K/2K capable EDID setting, it will transmit the signal in that format to all outputs. If no 4K/2K capable EDID is detected, then the unit will output the best resolution that all displays can support.

LED Indicators: The 1x2 HDMI 2.0 splitter features four LEDs to indicate Power, Input, and Output 1/2 status. These LEDs will illuminate Blue when the device is connected to power, a source, and up to two displays.

Power Requirements: Metra's CS-1X2HDMSPL2 HDMI splitter operates off of standard household current using the supplied AC power adapter (Input: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz, 0.15A; Output: 5.0V/1A).

So, hdmi cable from comcast box to Splitter. One hdmi to TV right above it and one hdmi is running down to basement home theater receiver to give basement cable tv... is this a plan you think will work?

Does this support ARC?

Not sure about ARC on the hdmi splitter 2.0-2.2 HD-UHD. Working great for 4K OLED and 1080 LED it's being used for. Hopefully it does not fail as it is powered. The (4) Blue status lights are a bit bright and can cause a glow effect behind the equipment but can be covered if needed, avoids distraction around TV. Looks HQ as other similar splitters sell for $15 - junk. This replaced my Dish-Hopper Joey I rented.
