This DVR has the features and the flexibility you need to keep tabs on a home or place of business, with connections for up to 8 indoor or outdoor security cameras. Spyclops offers a robust system with multiple input and output options, so you can view real-time video either on directly connected monitors or TVs (not included), or remotely via the Internet or a local network using the included smartphone app. The DVR has 1 terabyte (TB) of memory built in, and can be expanded up to 3 TB if needed.
Note: The DVR can switch between single-camera and up to eight-camera mode when streaming video live. When playing back video, you will see only one camera's feed on screen.

Features
Overview: The Spyclops DVR-8 is an 8-channel security DVR (digital video recorder) can record audio and video from up to 8 attached cameras. It has two built-in 500 GB SATA HDDs (total 1 TB of storage) for hours of recording time. The system HDDs can be upgraded to support up to 3 TB of storage. The unit stores 80-250MB of video or up to 28.8MB of audio per hour per channel.
Operating System: The DVR has an embedded Linux operating system. An optical mouse is included for controlling the system via its graphical user interface. You can also control the system using the front panel buttons, or the optional wireless remote control. No monitor is included, however, there are HDMI and VGA outputs provided for connecting the DVR to a TV or computer monitor.
Recording Quality: The DVR-8 uses H.264 video and ADPCM audio compression. With each channel, you can choose to record in CIF (360 x 240) or D1 (720 x 480) resolution at up to 30 frames per second.
Network Setup: The DVR can be connected to your home network for remote monitoring. Using the free EseeNet+ app, you can remotely view your system from any web browser, iPhone, iPad, or Android device. EseeNet+ is available for iPhone/iPad with iOS 4.3 or later, and Android devices with version 2.3 and up.
Live Monitoring: You can monitor the DVR's connected cameras in real time from a TV or computer monitor. The video quality during monitoring is D1 (720 x 480). You can choose to display one channel at a time, a 2 x 2 grid of four channels at once, or a 3 x 3 grid of all 8 channels at once.
Backup: Video and audio stored in the DVR can be easily and quickly backed up using a USB drive. Two USB ports are included on the rear panel--one for the included mouse, and one for a USB backup drive.
