The Axxess GMOS-LAN-012 radio replacement interface lets you replace the factory radio in select 2006-up GM vehicles, and keep your factory-installed OnStar system, satellite radio tuner, and door chimes. Even if you don't subscribe to OnStar, you'll need this interface to connect an aftermarket stereo.

Connect the GMOS-LAN-012 to your aftermarket radio, mount the module, and plug it into the existing factory plug. Get the great sound you want, and keep all of the important safety features intact. You can adjust volume settings for OnStar as well as the safety chimes. This interface gives you convenient plug-in connections for the Axxess steering wheel control adapter (not included) that works with most aftermarket stereos – that means less wiring work for you.

This interface is compatible with select 2006-and up General Motors vehicles. If you haven't done so already, please enter your vehicle information or call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if this item is compatible with your vehicle. Warranty: 1 year.

Note: Your vehicle must have factory-installed steering wheel controls in order to control the GM satellite radio tuner after installation.

Note: Most vehicles will require additional installation parts — please identify your vehicle if you haven’t done so, then check here for a list of parts. You can also call an Advisor for more information.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall, this harness was simple and straight forward to install. I haven't installed a stereo in 15 years, so I was a little worried going into it. The connections are straightforward and the manual was useful. I did call Crutchfield for a few questions, but they were mostly due to my inexperience and not wanting to make a mistake. I also love the way this thing integrates with the ASWC-1. By the time you are done, you have quite a bundle of a harness to fit behind your dash, but I was able to make it work. My biggest beef, and reason for docking a star, is that my factory XM tuner does not work as advertised. I have a 2006 Cadillac DTS, and was originally told this sucker would display XM on my driver information panel. The manual says this also, and that I can even change channels using the steering wheel controls. Well, I CAN listen to XM if I switch to AUX, but I have no visibility on my info panel, and can not change the station. Luckily, it was already set to the station I listen to 75% of the time. After calling Tech Support, I was basically told that factory integration of the XM tuner is dicey, and for full functionality I should just purchase an aftermarket tuner. Fortunately, I only paid half price for this harness as part of a bundle, or I would have been much more disappointed with this shortcoming.

Pros: Overall pretty easy to install. Integrates great with an ASWC-1.

Cons: Factory XM integration did not deliver as advertised.
