T-Spec Power/Ground Cable

Overview

Our take on the T-Spec Power/Ground Cable

Your car's electrical system supplies serious current to your amplifier, so it needs low-resistance wiring in order to deliver its power effectively. T-Spec's power and ground wire meets all American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) standards for size, resistance, and insulation quality. With T-Spec wiring, your amps and speakers will get the energy they need to give you peak performance.

Oxygen-free virgin copper

Recycled copper often contains impurities that can impair conductivity, so T-Spec uses only oxygen-free non-recycled virgin copper in their wire to maximize signal and power flow. The high strand count of this cable and its special PVC blended jacket give it an extraordinary flexibility, making installation easier. Boat owners, this power wire is marine certified, too. Warranty: 1 year.

Very nice wire. Will have to see how it holds up to the elements. Installed in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler that runs in wet and humid weather without the top. Nsulation is very thick and appears to be very resistant.

Pros: Thick wire

Great wire. Used it to upgrade the power and grounds for my alternator. Normally when you order cable you have to sacrifice an inch due to corrosion. Not the case here, cable came ready to strip and install also took no time to solder.

Q & A

Customer Q&A

Yes, but it's overkill for non-audio work. It will work for anything, just cost more than needed. It would be a great choice for going from the battery to your amps as the smaller strands of copper are specially formulated for that purpose. But for going from the block to ground, and from the alternator to the battery - it's overkill. So if you have the cash, then go for it! The power delivery won't be any better than a standard cable under the hood, but it will be a bit less apt to induce unwanted noise. Plus you're getting it all from one place, so it's quick and easy. [ Scott  Feb 26, 2014 ]
Thanks! [ Francis  Feb 25, 2014 ]
It seems good/capable enough. It is very flexible. That being said, I'd put it in some heat resistant techflex/wireloom to be on the safe side. [ Charles  Feb 24, 2014 ]
I connected 1/0 power cable to a box out with 8 garage wire to two pioneer amps I think the 1/0 wire is able handle any power to any amp as long you use the fuze to handle the load [ STEVEN  Feb 24, 2014 ]
Enter the length you need as the quantity in 1-foot increments. [ Jack  Jul 25, 2015 ]
The wire is ordered in foot-long lengths. If you want a 10 foot length, order a quantity of 10. That gives you a single 10 foot long wire, not ten 1-foot long wires. [ PETER  Jul 24, 2015 ]
Actually, you purchase it by the foot. So if you need 15 feet, use a quantity of 15. [ Steve  Jul 24, 2015 ]
change the quantity amount to your desired length. [ PRIORITY SALES  Jul 23, 2015 ]
It's sold by the foot. If your order 10 feet it will be 1 piece thats 10 feet long. [ Joseph  Jul 23, 2015 ]
Add it your cart and then increase the qty. Each increase in qty gives you a foot. Qty. 3 = 3 Ft. [ Mark  Jul 23, 2015 ]
Hello Ryan, The wire is ordered per foot. The "quantity" will be how many feet you need and they will send it to you precut to that length. [ ETHAN  Jul 23, 2015 ]
YES if you put 1 in quantity you will only get a foot. Enter how many feet you need in quantity at check out. [ CHRISTOFER  Jul 23, 2015 ]
