About the T-Spec PW41 Power Cable

Buck Pomerantz

This wire meets the highest specifications

The electrical system in your car or boat supplies serious current to your amplifier, so it needs low-resistance wiring in order to deliver its power effectively. T-Spec's power and ground wire meets all American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) standards for size, resistance, and insulation quality. With T-Spec wiring, your amps and speakers will get the energy they need to give you peak performance.

Tinned oxygen-free copper wire

Recycled copper often contains impurities that can impair conductivity, so T-Spec uses only oxygen-free non-recycled virgin copper in their wire to maximize signal and power flow. T-Spec tins the pure copper wire to protect against oxidation and tarnish which would reduce conduction. The high strand count of this cable and its special PVC blended jacket give it an extraordinary flexibility, making installation easier. Boat owners, this power wire is recommended for marine use, too. Warranty: 1 year.

This wire is sold by the foot — enter the number of feet desired in the "quantity" field of your shopping cart.

Q
Is T-Spec 0/1 power/ground wire appropriate for use in the Big 3 upgrade and replacing other large wires in the engine compartment?

A
Yes, but it's overkill for non-audio work. It will work for anything, just cost more than needed. It would be a great choice for going from the battery to your amps as the smaller strands of copper are specially formulated for that purpose. But for going from the block to ground, and from the alternator to the battery - it's overkill. So if you have the cash, then go for it! The power delivery won't be any better than a standard cable under the hood, but it will be a bit less apt to induce unwanted noise. Plus you're getting it all from one place, so it's quick and easy.

Thanks!

It seems good/capable enough. It is very flexible. That being said, I'd put it in some heat resistant techflex/wireloom to be on the safe side.

I connected 1/0 power cable to a box out with 8 garage wire to two pioneer amps I think the 1/0 wire is able handle any power to any amp as long you use the fuze to handle the load
steven  Feb 24, 2014
Q
What does the 1/0 wire weigh per foot?
josh  Sep 10, 2021

A
About half pound maybe? Not too bad.
kenneth  Sep 10, 2021
Q
so is this wire only a foot long? how do you request different lengths??
ryan  Jul 23, 2015

A
Enter the length you need as the quantity in 1-foot increments.
jack  Jul 25, 2015
A
The wire is ordered in foot-long lengths. If you want a 10 foot length, order a quantity of 10. That gives you a single 10 foot long wire, not ten 1-foot long wires.
peter  Jul 24, 2015
A
Actually, you purchase it by the foot. So if you need 15 feet, use a quantity of 15.
steve  Jul 24, 2015
A
change the quantity amount to your desired length.
priority sales  Jul 23, 2015
A
It's sold by the foot. If your order 10 feet it will be 1 piece thats 10 feet long.
joseph  Jul 23, 2015
A
Add it your cart and then increase the qty. Each increase in qty gives you a foot. Qty. 3 = 3 Ft.
mark  Jul 23, 2015
A
Hello Ryan, The wire is ordered per foot. The "quantity" will be how many feet you need and they will send it to you precut to that length.
ethan  Jul 23, 2015
A
