Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. I was looking for some way to hang my Pioneer S-H152B-K 2-way bookshelf (surround) speakers; they're about 11 lbs. each, and most of the smaller mounts will only support about 8 lbs. I wasn't really crazy about the idea of drilling into my beloved speakers, but after the first hole, it wasn't that bad. The mounts are light, but sturdy. They do come with the wall anchors, though the instructions seem to say they're not included. I needed them as the speakers' locations were not over wall studs. Once mounted, the speakers seem to be quite sturdy, and adjustment is very easy. 22 out of 25 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Pinpoint AM10 Written By ELSound, Hartford, CT on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 I used these brackets to hang a pair of Polk R10 speakers (~15 lbs each). These brackets have proven to be rock solid - mounting angle has not moved for two years. Also, with their two-part construction, removing the speakers for cleaning is effortless, requiring no tools and allowing me to maintain the mounting angle. Note that it is worth finding a stud to mount these brackets when supporting heavy loads. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Work great! Written By Tom, Franklin, TN on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. I needed brackets to mount a pair of 20 lb Polk Monitor 40's horizontally as my side surrounds. They each weigh about 20 lb. The brackets work great but I had to use metal toggle bolts for the top wall mount as plastic, screw- in anchors were close to pulling out of the drywall with the weight. I've bought a second set of brackets for a set of Polk R150's which I'm using for rear speakers. 9 out of 9 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. Speakers sound best when they have a solid foundation and these wall mounts are much better than most at giving a sturdy foundation. They are easy to install, although you will need to drill into the back of your speakers. The adjustment is nice because you can tilt the speakers down. If your speakers are wide it will limit the side to side adjustment. I've was able to mount a pair of Tanoy powered speakers for my surround speakers with no trouble. I would mount them on a stud FOR SURE. One very nice feature is you can install all the hardware then easily lift the speakers and drop them into place. No holding and screwing. It is also easy to remove the speakers if necessary, simply lift them up. Pros: Adjustable, easy to install, supports heavy speakers Cons: Must drill into back of speakers. Was this review helpful? I had quite a difficult time (surprisingly) finding wall mounts for my speakers, bose 201's. I needed the mounts to hold more than what the average mount could hold plus I need them to be maneuverable on both axis. of course they had to be very sturdy. they were simple to install, they do exactly what I need them to do and they haven't budged on iota. they're really a great little product Pros: easy to install, rotate up & down and side to side, very sturdy. They really looked bigger in the photo, I was shocked though to see them easily hold up my 15 lb polk speakers. To get the angle I wanted though I had to mount them sorta on one side of the speaker instead on the center. I would recommend to anyone with heavy speakers. 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. I needed brackets that could handle speakers somewhat larger and heavier than typical "satellite" type speakers. Each bracket comes in four pieces: two separate hinges to screw into the wall and two semi-circular arms that are connected by bolts. One arm fits over the hinges, and the other holds the speaker. The hinges allow the arms to swing side-to-side, and the arms can be tilted by adjusting the bolts. They came disassembled, and I could not believe how small the box was; also, they're not metal but rather plastic. However, they seem sturdy enough, and were fairly easy to assemble and mount on the wall. As others have noted, you do have to drill into your speakers to mount them to the brackets; I had to drill slightly off-center line to fit them around the speaker wire plugs, but it worked okay. I mounted two old JBL 500s, that each weigh about 8 pounds. I used plastic drywall anchors: the ones provided were a bit skimpy, but you can find better ones for pennies at any hardware store (bring one of the wall screws with you to size them). The drywall anchors were very convenient for my location requirements, but for speakers that weigh a bit more, you might want to find wall studs. Overall, these are good brackets: they're sturdy, provide good flexibility for mounting locations and positions, and are reasonably priced. 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
