Depending on your vehicle and the application, you'll need some accessories to connect your XS Power battery. To see what works with this battery, click on the "Accessories" tab above. If you have questions, our advisors are here to help.
Give your vehicle the necessary juice to perform at its best. XS Power deep cycle batteries can act as replacements for your car's standard battery, or you can use them as auxiliaries to power your high-performance sound system and hydraulics reliably. If you've got a boat or an RV, XS Power's got a solution for your electric needs, too.
XS Power deep cycle batteries feature a sealed absorbed glass mat (AGM) design that incorporates special glass fiber mats that contain the acid electrolyte between the lead plates, rather than a standard flooded (liquid) design. This leak-proof, non-hazardous configuration typically lasts longer than normal replacement batteries if properly charged. These batteries actually store energy, so you don't have to add a capacitor to your system to get a quick burst when you need it.
Since there are no external vents on an XS Power battery, you can mount it in a passenger compartment, below a seat, or inside a glove box without fear of leaks. No leaks mean no corrosion or damage to chrome or paint. XS Power guarantees their batteries will not leak, even if damaged. These batteries also resist extreme vibrations so they'll perform in the trunk or hatch area without skipping a beat.
The XS Power D3400 deep cycle 12-volt battery provides up to 3,300 maximum amps and has a capacity of 65 amp-hours. A reinforced plastic case protects it in your vehicle. Check "Accessories" for items that'll help you install and secure your new battery.
XS Power offers a handy vehicle guide on their website. Simply enter the year, make, and model, and you'll instantly receive a list of batteries that should fit your vehicle. And they'll recommend installation accessories to help make things more convenient. Or just give us a call and talk to one of our advisors.
Important Note: You must charge this battery before installing it. We recommend XS Power's HF IntelliCharger (sold separately) to charge this battery properly. Improper charging can permanently damage the battery, and void your warranty.

Average Customer Review(s):
I got this battery cause I was having voltage drops with my system. I'm running this with my 200 amp alternator. So far so good it's def a day and night difference I highly recommend this to anyone with a serious system.
Pros: Great product Works well
Cons: Just the price but it's worth it
I had used the following engine / starter batteries in the past: Diehard , Optima, Interstate, Odyssey, Kinetik, ACDelco and Deka. This XS Power D3400 has been nothing but "Stellar" in its performance. I have it as my starter battery - powered by a Mechman 270 Amp G series alternator. I also have an XS XP950 in the trunk to feed both my JL HD750/1 and Genesis Compact Four CLass A amplifiers. My car system has been nothing but pure brute strength at a constant 14.9 -15.2V. I'm loving it! The car performs faster, there is no lag in anything, headlights & interior dash never go dim ..and it just feels like a more healthier start. All pros.. no cons here. I am an XSPower customer from now on.. no other brand will do for me. Invest your money in this battery.
Pros: Strong Heavy Power on Tap
Battery holds power very good. My ild baterry would drop to 11.5 on heavy bass while stopped. The XS has not dropped below 12.5. No more dimming lights and bass sounds more full now. Im driving to Fosgate 15s T1s with a rf mono amp and 4channel Pioneer amp. No problems yet.
Pros: Performs as advertised.
Cons: Took two weeks to receive battery from purchase date. It's expensive.
I purchased this for my '14 subaru xv crosstrek because the crosstrek has the upgraded sound system with a sub, and because I run other accessories like a dashcam that records while parking. With the stock battery, the vehicle was having trouble keeping a high enough charge to keep the power control on the dashcam from tripping (which turns off the dashcam to prevent a dead battery). The stock battery just didn't have enough capacity. After a good full charge on my charger, this thing stays charged well enough that I haven't seen the dash cam turn off once, even though the battery only gets power from the alternator for a total of about 30 minutes a day (short commute).
Pros: high capacity for the size. AGM makes it easier to install and work with (no worries about spills). Does what it say it does so far..
Cons: Only issue i had with it is that my vehicle ('14 subaru crosstrek, non-hybrid) had the terminals on opposite sides and the positive lead didn't have much room to move as it had splices fairly close to the end of it that came straight from the power distribution center. In the end, I had to turn the battery a quarter turn to the left for both leads to connect. It fit that way but just barely. I don't think it was the battery's fault, probably the subaru's.
This product puts the power it says my lights are not diming any more and my speakers are hithing harder now
Pros: Strong power true wattage universal fit
Cons: Nothing bad to say about the product
Fast shipping. Great product. I plan on buying at least 4 more.
I've been driving around with a $2,000 car system for almost a year and I've always loved how it sounds. But hated how my stock battery would always die. I would always have to jump start it everywhere I went it got embarrassing. I got tired off lights dimming sound distortion. So I finally decided if I want my system to sound nice I need a competing audio battery so I went with the best and got the xs power 3400 no more dimming lights. My Lows sound ridiculous loud and clean vocals as well. It also helped with sending good amount of juice to my 0 ohm Granatelli spark plug wires for better gas mileage on making a bigger spark on the spark plugs. I'm very happy with my choice and the product. Crutchfield does have the best products for the best Prices. I saved $100 dollars from using Crutchfield Thanks guys.
Pros: Battery pushes what it says. Customer service is always there for you.
Cons: Said it would take 3 days but actually took a week because it ended up getting shipped from xs power. So you at least know it's legit.
This thing puts stock battery's to shame. With this in the back and a d5100 up front and the big 3 upgrade I have no dimming and I've noticed a difference in quality from my system. Thank you crutchfield
Pros: Lights don't dim. System gets louder
Cons: Slightly heavy but it is a battery
Battery packs quite a charge. Could kill my old battery with 20 min of play just running my deck and four speakers and now I can play music for much longer even with my two tens bumpin and zero light dim. Well worth the extra money!
Pros: Performs above and beyond my expectations!
I purchased the D3400 to replace the stock battery on a 2012 Nissan Versa and the results are amazing. There is absolutely no dimming (even at high volumes). Voltage drop is at a minimum. While the car is running voltages rests at about 14.4+ and when the system is going hard, voltage is now at about 13.9 compared to 12.1 or less with the old battery (which I know is bad). But now the amp is producing a cleaner signal at high volumes. Big 3 had already been done so the new D3400 would run at full potential. Again, amazing product. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a real powerful battery.
Pros: Minimal voltage drop. No dimming. Cleaner power produced by amplifier.
Cons: Had to rig the positive terminal on the Versa as the battery posts were reversed from the original.
This Battery made my whole system super stable, I have eliminated almost all of the light dimming during peak power, I am running close to 2400 Rms and the power flow is great.
Pros: super stable easy to install great performance car starts faster now
Cons: doesn't come with any attachments.
These batteries are excellent!! I'm using 2 of these and noticed a big difference with 2500 watt system and soon adding a third amp and sub.
I purchased this battery for my son for Christmas, and it has been great so far. He is still building his system, so I can't speak to its effectiveness toward the audio system. I can say that it helped the car start at -26°F! Had plenty of charge to get it going.
Pros: Works at -26°F! Can be installed by a 16 year old.
Cons: None that I know if yet.
Best audio performance battery on the market! Check the reviews online and in youtube. The build quality far exceeds it's competitors. If you're experiencing power drops with this battery, your issue is elsewhere in your electrical system.
Pros: Build quality. Power output.
This is a great main battery. It provides long lasting power with great comeback from a large amperage pull.
I bought this to replace my stock battery. I noticed no improvement and I still have the same voltage drops. Only difference I notice is the xs is heavier than my stock. My stock bat was the same size as xs. I wish I would have not spent this much if I knew it wasn't going to improve anything. My stock battery was 150$ vs the xsd3400. I drive a 1998 f150 4x4 with 2 12s on 1800 rms
Pros: No improvements over my stock
Cons: Same voltage drops Same resting voltage
Great product best in car audio batteries recommend with my eyes close don't think it twice to do your change
awesome battery was going to get an odessy but went this route... running about 2200rms and have a 90 amp alt voltage stays around 13.8 in my jeep.. battery was damage on arrival but its not cracked or leaking...
Pros: everything.. price is just a little more than a crap optima yellow top every likes for sum reason... id rather pay a little more for this battery and know its a great product...
Cons: only con is shipping damage.. if you consider that a con...
Very happy with the shipping time Aand the product performed as expected and a little better direct replacement for stock battery perfect fit, thank you to nathan from xs power and the whole xs power team who makes these products, before I could play my system loud but my voltage would fluxuate considerably at higher volumes, with just replacing my stock battery not adding an alternator or anything of that sort my system is much more stable on the volt meter much higher into the volume range. it also seems to sound alot more clear
Pros: exact fit stock replacement. Performed above expectations from a battery upgrade. Shipping was fast well packed and nothing was damaged
Cons: none that I can think of.
i have being in car audio for about 6 years and i have always used yellow tops but with my new built im going with RF-1500 and i needed to upgrade this battery keeps my amp full with power no voltage drops when like i had before this battery its worth every penny
Pros: good price best in class
Overview: The XS Power D3400 is a 12-volt battery that is designed to be used as a supplemental power source in your vehicle, or it can replace your vehicle's OEM battery. It can supply the power needed to run your high-powered audio system, better than a standard battery.
Terminals Needed: This D-series battery does not come with battery terminals, so you will need to purchase the proper terminal adapters for your application before installation can take place:
Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM): XS Power's AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries use a fibrous material to suspend the liquid electrolyte against the lead plates. Because the electrolyte is absorbed in the material, there is little chance of an acid leak, even in the event the case is ruptured. AGM batteries contain more lead compared to traditional "flooded" batteries, thus producing more power.
Charging the Battery: It is very important to properly charge an Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) battery before using. Improper charging can permanently damage the battery, and will void the warranty. The XS Power HF IntelliCharger for AGM Batteries (sold separately) has a microprocessor that monitors the charging process to avoid overcharging, and is recommended for this battery.
Specifications: The D3400 has the following specifications:

Yes [ Daniel Aug 03, 2016 ]
I am using that right now with two sundown audio sa-12 rev.3 probably pushing close to 1500 watts rms with a kicker kx 2400.1 amp in a 2005 avalanche custom set up self done. Im pretty sure you'll be fine. The only thing I have extra is a big 3 upgrade crutchfield has some great info how to do it on their site. I had an upgraded alternator too but I'm back to stock [ Lelunde Jul 26, 2016 ]
Yes with no problems I have the d3400 running Rockford Fosgate prime D 500 mono pushing Sundown 8 500 watts and Rockford Fosgate prime D 400 4ch [ ceon Jul 23, 2016 ]
It should. I was running this batt to push 2 15' RF T1 on a 1000rms RF T1 amp in a 2009 impala. I still had voltage drops to the mid 12v range at night. My original battery would drop in the 10v range [ Joseph Jul 23, 2016 ]
It should be more then enough with the amount of power you are runing from your amp, also doing a big 3 upgrade helps alot with your charging system. [ MICHAEL A Jul 22, 2016 ]
Easily. I have one in my 2010 F150 that I run old school, power hungry amps in with no issues even at night! Ran my stereo through two whole movies at the drive in sitting in the bed and truck didn't even hesitate to start! [ Samantha Jul 22, 2016 ]
This will more than do the job. No worries. I'm running a Memphis mojo 2500.1 and 2 arc audio 300.4 in a Cadillac. STS. It handles it fine. I was going to run 2 batteries but this one does the job. Best upgrade I've made, besides adding processor [ Jo-nathan Jul 22, 2016 ]
if that car fits a group 34 I would defiantly do it. I ran this on my old 01 accord wit big 4 upgrade two type s 12s at 1ohm to 1000 watt Cerwin Vega Mono block volt meters to the back and front so know this thing would never drop below 13.6 even on the deepest longest notes... Great product with lots of room to upgrade system [ ANDREW Jul 22, 2016 ]
Yes, this battery will have more than enough power. Cars only use the battery on initial start up and when a lot of power is being drawn. When a car is running the alternator should take over for the most part. The beauty of this battery is that you can play your stereo all night long with your car off and still have enough power to start up your car in the morning. (My 1600 watt system has pulled many all nighters blasting music) This battery has not let me down once. [ BRIAN J Jul 22, 2016 ]
I had this battery in a v8 f150 and a v6 mustang running a mrx-m110 mono amp and a mrx-f65 4 channel just fine. Make sure this battery will fit in your car, as a good number of GM products require side post batteries. If it fits, it's more than enough for what you need. [ Courtney Jul 22, 2016 ]
Yes it will work. I have 2 of these batteries in my 1997 Chevrolet Silverado with 4 12' Alpine type R subs and a MA Audio 4000W amp. [ NATHAN Jul 22, 2016 ]
It should be able to handle it. Be advised, that your alternator will be handling majority of your electrical load while the car is running. The battery starts car. The alternator runs the car and charges the battery once the engine is running. A larger battery would allow you to run your sound system longer with the engine off. The amount of power your running shouldn't be too much of a drain on your alternator. I'm currently running a dual battery setup with a custom high output alternator. The d3400 is my primary and I have a smaller one just for my bass amplifier. I haven't had any issues with this battery, but I spent a significant amount of time and money upgrading my electrical system. Consider upgrading your entire electrical system(higher amperage alternator, bigger battey/dual battery, and a larger gauge amp wire kit) if you go up to a system that is pushing over 500 watts RMS so you can optimize your audio system. Any more questions? [ Anthony Jul 22, 2016 ]
Yes, it is the correct BCI group so it is supposed to be a direct replacement. [ Courtney Apr 22, 2016 ]
Not sure. Check out xs power webstie to confirm fitment. [ Anthony Apr 22, 2016 ]
I do not know, but there are reference guides available by car make/model/year showing what fits. [ Donald Apr 22, 2016 ]
For additional details on fit or installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on if this will fit and what you will need for an installation in your vehicle. [ Kenny Apr 05, 2016 ] Staff
Thank you very much krissy, have a wonderful blessed day. [ Dennis Mar 11, 2015 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: That battery will work in the vehicle. If it has side battery posts then they will need the XS Power 555 i-Bar kit, or f it has regular posts then they will need the XS Power Short Brass Posts. I hope this information helps. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Mar 11, 2015 ] Staff
They come charged. ?????????? [ Luciano Oct 28, 2014 ]
When I received my xs power batteries they where 12.8 Volts, but I put it on the charger over night before i put them in my car and it was 12.9 volts resting. [ STEVE Oct 24, 2014 ]
Yes, you have to charge it. I purchased mine about a year ago. It recommends that you charge it over night with a battery charger. [ PAUL A Oct 24, 2014 ]
Mine came charged, went from box to under the hood read 13.4 i believe before i fired car no problems. I imagine it couldn't hurt to charge before initial use if you have easy access to the correct type of charger [ GREGORY M Oct 24, 2014 ]
Mine came resting at 11.9 I believe I could have hooked it straight up to my truck but I always sit a new battery on a charger before an install, your local auto parts store will do it for free too so you don't have to buy a charger [ KALEB Oct 24, 2014 ]
Mine shipped charged (not fully charged but almost), but I would purchase a charger anyway.. Make sure you purchase the correct charger, or you will mess up the battery.. [ MARC C Oct 24, 2014 ]
Mine came charged, I checked it with a voltage meter before installing it (forgot voltage exactly). But once installed I let my engine run for a good while so the alternator could charge it up fully. [ KEAMMY Oct 24, 2014 ]
I received mine from Crutchfield with a PARTIAL charge. You will need a charger though to get the initial charge that the battery needs to see for like 24 hours prior to use. It needs the full 14.4v from a charger, not the 13.8 from your car system for it to be 100% effective as an audio system battery. [ MICK Oct 24, 2014 ]
Honestly it's best to charge before use because your alternator will not charge it to its full potential.. I just took mine to autozonr and let th charge mines for free [ LAVONTE Oct 24, 2014 ]
The battery comes with a good charge, but you need to charge before use so you don't lower the overall resting charge of the battery. [ MATHIS Oct 24, 2014 ]
Thanks for your question. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help you make the best choice for your system. [ Krissy Jan 24, 2014 ] Staff
