Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Never really needed them although I did use two out of the three just for fun... but I would say they're good to have. If you have the extra couple bucks, might as well throw 'em in your cart.

They don't seem 'unbreakable', but they seem sturdy enough to do what they're meant for. Just use them gently and don't force too much. Overall a nice package to have around.

Pros: Inexpensive, Easy To Use, Strong Enough

Cons: None really

Versatile Tool Kit

Written By SteveW, Maryland on Sunday, April 19, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

If you're a DIY installer, these are a "must" for your toolkit. With these three tools I was able to not only remove interior dashboard panels, but was also able to route cables behind and in between panels without removing the panels. These are also perfect for removing door panels quickly and easily for things such as speaker replacement, replacing a window motor, door handle, or weather stripping.

Pros: Versatile and well made; makes interior work with dashboard panels and door panels a breeze

Cons: None

These trim tools have very little strength. They are flimsy and you need a pry bar behind them to get them to work.

Pros: Inexpensive. Won't scratch metal.

Cons: Won't pry up door panels very well. Use a real pry bar with them or a screw driver or anything else you can find.

No Scratch Removal

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

In the past, I've scuffed the interior of my car while trying to remove panels with screw drivers and other flat metal tools. So, when it came time to work on another car, I ordered the Bojo Trim Panel Tools and they have done the job flawlessly. It has helped me to easily remove the panels without any scratches. The money that you spend on these is a small price to pay for an unscratched look inside your car.

Pros: easy to use, no scratches

Cons: none

DIY? You need them!!!

Written By medmol, Puerto Rico on Friday, December 26, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These tools are easy to use and are critical to avoid destroying your door panel. Before starting my DIY project, I watch a video in internet on how to remove a panel door. I felt like a pro with these tools and what I learned watching the video. My advice to readers is, first to expose and remove bolts before starting removing the panel. And, second, work the panel from the bottom to the top.

Pros: Easy to use, they make the job without ruining the door panel

Cons: None

Pros: Made well No scratches on panels

Nice Utility Tools

Written By Jack, Colorado on Monday, August 11, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These trim panel removal tools are quite useful in helping to remove various types of trim pieces and they perform exactly as expected. They are not designed to remove trim automatically - they are designed to help you remove trim without scratching up the surrounding areas or the trim itself. Besides installing a head unit, speakers, and an amp, I have found these tools useful in several other applications around the home.

Pros: The quality of the tools seems to be pretty good. They do exactly what they are designed to do.

Cons: I really haven't found any cons.

Useful Tools

Written By Damon, Naples, FL on Tuesday, July 01, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these tools specifically for speaker installation in my 2014 Ford Mustang. I installed speakers in the door and the rear deck. The straight, non-forked pry bar was ideal for removing the plastic pieces of trim from the door without scuffing or scratching the materials. Also, the angled, forked prybar was ideal for removing push-pins which hold the rear deck in place. So, I was quite happy with my purchase. The tools are the right size and sturdy enough for multiple uses. I highly recommend them. Do not use a flat head screwdriver to remove the panels/trim. Use the proper tools, like these.

Pros: Safe to use on plastic door panels and pieces. A variety of heads for the job. Solid construction.

im not here to talk about how awesome it was TO have them. im going to talk about how miserable it is NOT to have them. i wound up slicing my finger open on a sharp bit of plastic when it snapped closed on my finger, i scarred and scratched the paint on my car, AND i managed to break several snaps. hindsight being 20/20 i seriously regret NOT buying them. especially since they are only $12.

Did the job, but...

Written By Ruben, San Jose, CA on Saturday, April 19, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I gave this product 3 stars because I couldn't have done the job without it. However, it didn't work as well as I expected. I removed the stereo from a 2006 Honda Accord - middle dash section, center console fold up pocket, trip around shift lever, etc. The gap around trim panels is very tight and the blade tip seemed to be about twice as thick. Trying to insert the tool between the dash panel was far more difficult that I thought and required lots of force to get the tool into the gap. As a result, several marks or impressions were left. Since the dashboard is someone soft, I'm hoping those impressions will eventually rebound or have a memory effect. Someone disappointed since I'm a bit of a perfectionist. The tools themselves appear to be very durable.

Pros: Tools appear rugged and durable enough for the average job.

Cons: The bladed or thin edge of the blade was not thin enough.

A must set of tools!
