Product Research

Features

Overview: The PAC C2R-GM11b GMLAN Warning Chime and Radio Replacement Interface allows easy connection of an aftermarket stereo in select General Motors vehicles without Onstar; please see "Outfit My Car" to confirm compatibility. This interface provides connections for the new radio's power, illumination, and speaker leads. With the C2R-GM11b, the new radio will replicate all factory chimes and audible turn signals. It also provides a data bus generated 12 volt accessory output, so the factory RAP system remains intact (Retained Accessory Power, RAP, keeps the radio powered after the key is removed from the ignition until the driver's door is opened, or ten minutes passes, whichever comes first).

Compatibility: The C2R-GM11b Radio Replacement Interface for GMLAN 11-bit vehicles without Onstar is compatible with the following GM vehicles with or without a factory amplifier:

  • Pontiac: 2005-2009 G6
  • Chevrolet: 2005-2006 Cobalt, 2004-2008 Malibu (2008 Malibu Classic only), 2004-2007 Malibu Maxx

Steering Wheel Controls: If your vehicle has steering wheel controls (and the aftermarket radio is compatible) they can be integrated using the optional PAC SWI-RC or the SWI-CP2 steering wheel control interface (sold separately).

Q
Is this needed if i just want to replace the factory radio if im already getting the harness you make for the radio i chose?
jake  Feb 17, 2024
1 answer
A
Greetings Jake. Thank you for your question. The ready harness is a service, not an actual harness. What we do is perform the connections using the new stereos harness, and the vehicle specific harness like this. That $24.99 is the cost to have us make all the connections for you.

Q
Is this wiring harness compatible with the security lockout system?

This will depend largely on your vehicle. For details on installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on what you will need for an installation.

Q
I bought this for my 08 Pontiac g6. Everything turns on but no sound. Any ideas what could be wrong?
larry  Nov 23, 2021

A
If everything is wired correctly. Than it could be a grounded out speaker. So easy way would be to un hook one speaker at a time and see if it plays. If you get to the last speaker start hooking them but do the one that you unhooked last , hook it up last so as to rule that one out.

Q
I have a factory amp in my 09 Pontiac G6 GT. Will the amp still work if I install this harness?
jackcadi  May 28, 2021
1 answer
A
This interface does not work with all the 2009 G6 factory audio system's that came with an amp but the ones it does work in, it can retain the stock amp so it still works to power the speakers. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to check compatibility of this harness with the stock system in your G6

2006 Pontiac g6 sedan. Will this keep the alerts such as oil change, tire pressure, and windshield washer fluid levels?

A year and four months later and this head unit and interface are still sitting on my work bench. In other words, I have not installed these in the car yet. Someday - maybe this winter - I will finally get it installed into my 2011 Corvette with Bose. All of that aside, why don't you ask Kenwood - or Bill Crutchfield - this question instead of me? How am I to know if it will work for your car?
richard  Dec 07, 2018
A
It doesn't have anything to do with those circuits. Thats in the body module.
