Features
Overview: The PAC TATO JBL amplifier turn-on interface for Lexus and Toyota CANBUS vehicles is designed to retain the use of the factory JBL amplified audio system when the factory radio is replaced with an aftermarket radio. When installing an aftermarket radio with a 4-channel RCA output, the TATO will retain the factory functions of balancing and fading through the factory JBL amplifier. The TATO is also compatible with Synthesis 5.1 and 7.1 surround systems.
Note: Be sure both the front and rear RCA outputs from the new radio are full range.
Vehicle Compatibility: The TATO is designed to work with select Lexus and Toyota CANBUS vehicles that feature a JBL audio system; please confirm fit with theCrutchfield vehicle selector.
Gain Control: For the best sound quality adjustable gains are provided on the TATO for optimal listening. When initially connecting the TATO to the vehicle's JBL audio system, the max output might not meet that of the factory radio. If the volume is low you can adjust the output using the integrated dip switches on the side of the module. It is recommend to use a 4 volt RMS capable aftermarket radio.
Installation: The interface is installed behind the radio, with plug-and-play audio signal connectivity to the factory JBL audio system. A hardwired constant power, accessory power, ground and dimmer lead connection are also provided.
Steering Wheel Remote Compatible: The PAC TATO can be used in conjunction with the PAC SWI-RC steering wheel control interface (541SWIRC, sold separately).
