Our take on the PAC TM-100

The PAC TM-100 Tri-Way crossover allows you to power a pair of stereo speakers and a subwoofer simultaneously from a Tri-Way compatible 2-channel amp. It's a cost-effective way to drive a subwoofer.

The TM-100 has input and output wires that you connect to your amp's speaker outputs and to the wires leading to your speakers. A 12 dB/octave low-pass filter sends frequencies below 100 Hz to your subwoofer. A 6 dB/octave high-pass filter sends frequencies above 100 Hz to your main speakers. Handles 250 watts RMS per channel. 4-3/4"W x 2-1/16"H x 3-13/16"D. 1-year warranty.

Important Note: A Tri-Mode or Tri-Way compatible amplifier is required.

PAC TM-100

Written By Jason, South Bend, IN on Saturday, December 03, 2005

This works well driving my 6 1/2" components and an 8" Bazooka using a Profile AP400 (65 Watts/Channel). I'm sure the sub could hit harder if it where on the amp by itself, but I'm more than happy with the overall sound of the system.

Sweet Tri-Mode Crossover

Fast shipping, and works great! I connected this crossover to my old Tri-Mode 2-channel 60watt/ch amp with an 8-ohm single woofer. It is a bit bassy, but this is a good problem to have! Cheap way to liven up your sound. Can even drive 4 6X9's in series (no fader) for the hi pass...so 5 speakers off of a 2 channel amp! When using any Tri Mode crossover remember that your woofer will be bridged, so divide your impedance by 2. Your amp will see a 4ohm woofer as 2ohms, or 2 4ohm woofers wired in parallel as 1ohm...too much for most amps. Stick to 8ohm woofers and you'll be fine.

This thing worked well for several years. A year or so ago something inside must've come loose or burned out because the sub was no longer functioning.

Great for the price, i have a Sony XM-2200GTX and two 200 watt 6x9's and a 10 inch sub... sounds average, actually the bass is stronger than normal, i wouldnt recommend this if you want a lot of bass i should have just bought 2 subwoofers instead of powering the rear speakers and a sub.... but hey it does make my ears ring.... :P

Many in-dash receivers include frequency filters that can steer deep bass notes away from your car's "full-range" speakers, which really aren't capable of handling deep bass...
