Pioneer DEH-6400BT

Loaded with Pioneer sound enhancements
Built-in Bluetooth is only one of the advantages this receiver has over run-of-the-mill car stereos. You'll also find an impressive collection of sound-shaping controls. Pioneer's Easy EQ 3-band equalizer lets you tailor the sound to match your taste and your car's interior. The Advanced Sound Retriever improves the audio performance of your digital audio files, reversing the compression process to give you more high-frequency sparkle and musical detail.

Choose colors to match your car and your taste
The bright dot-matrix display displays all system information clearly, and you can adjust the display and control colors of this receiver separately, with thousands of possible combinations on tap. The DEH-6400BT will blend right in, whatever the color of your car's control surfaces and dials.

Power and control
At the heart of this receiver, Pioneer's acclaimed built-in amp delivers plenty of power for good, clean sound, while the two sets of preamp outputs offer a convenient connection to a full system with external amplifiers, speakers, and subs. You'll find the low-pass filter and level control on the subwoofer preamp outputs handy for adjusting the bass from the driver's seat.

Ready to play your music
Plug your iPod® into the USB input, and you can use the Pioneer's controls to run the show. Once connected, the receiver bypasses your iPod's built-in digital-to-analog converter, using its own high-quality DAC to deliver your music files with the highest fidelity possible. You'll love the convenience of the auxiliary input on the front panel, great for plugging in a satellite radio, gaming device, or another audio source. The DEH-6400BT also plays all your CDs, including those with MP3 and WMA files burned onto them.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?
In most vehicles, you can use an adapter to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this Pioneer stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the Pioneer, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. Check the "Accessories" tab for compatible adapters.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver.

Love this Pioneer head unit. Have had it about 2 years and it has all the audio tuning options you could ever want!

I decided to install it myself with the included instructions and kit. It took a little while, but only because I am fastidious. Sound better than my factory installed system, plays CD's and MP3 CD's flawlessly, but I mostly connect via bluetooth and my iPhone. As soon as they see each other, the music plays from where it last left off without having to touch anything! Phone calls are fine, though sometimes folks on the other end claim they can't hear me. I placed the microphone on the dash just behind the steering wheel, though at some point I'll move it to the visor just to see if it makes a difference. Overall, I recommend it as an inexpensive solution to modernize older cars.

Pros: Audio, colors are pretty cool

Cons: Hard to see in bright light

I bought this radio to work with my iPhone 4s and it has been a perfect match. Blue tooth connected without a hitch. Reception and sound quality are a big improvement over the original unit in my 2002 Honda Odyssey. My seven year old grandson really likes the multi-color display, but this old man prefers just plain green. I installed the unit in about six hours having never done this before, but then spent another whole morning learning how to operate it. If only the instructions would have explained the SRC button up front, it would have shortened the learning curve. I still don't know what SRC means. Maybe it's "Seriously Required Control". If I had had it installed by a knowledgable technician, I probably would have been given some basic instructions and been up to speed quickly.

Pros: A solid full featured replacement CD,Bluetooth, smart phone, radio. An excellent value.

Cons: The instructions are great after you've learned how to operate the unit. The Demo startup program gets in the way of learing how to operate the unit. Finally, yes the display fades away in the bright of day, but I haven't found it to be a problem.

My Samsung galaxy s3 connects just fine!! Beats spending $500 for the same unit at a big box store. Great sound, easy install, what's not to love?

Purchased this unit along with the install kit. Normally, I wouldn't even consider attempting a radio head unit replacement on a weeknight, but I know I can trust Crutchffield to deliver only the highest quality. Within 3 hours, we had the old unit out, the new unit in, everything buttoned up, and sounding great. Now, my son has hands free calling in his car with voice dialing / music over bluetooth with his iPhone. All he has to do is press one button on his phone and tell his phone what he wants. The rest happens automatically between the iPhone (3gs) and this unit. I shopped for over 90 minutes trying to find a better package of install kit and head unit - I could have saved maybe $5, but I would never have had the confidence that all the pieces would work together - nice job Crutchfield.

Pros: Easy install, good sound, HANDSFREE Calling and Bluetooth Music Streaming!!!

Cons: You'll need to read the instruction manual to take advantage of all the settings, but this unit does almost as much as the $700 unit I put in my father's truck about 8 months ago.

This player plays music wonderfully and the tuner is outstanding. However, I put it in my 96 Ford truck and the display is completely unreadable duting the day. The high gloss plastic face works better as a mirror to see out the passenger window. This is true even after I have taken off my sunglasses. I can choose thousands of colors of text and buttons that I can only see at night. I am serious about not being able to change stations, pick songs or see the time. If it's more important to play with text colors at night you'll love this player.

    Pros: Sounds great

Installed in 2004 Ford Explorer when factory radio just quit. Installation was easy with the Crutchfield kit. Install took less than an hour. Radio is excellent and sound is much better than premium factory radio. The Pioneer manual is pretty much useless and it took a lot of playing around to figure out how to configure various options. Main volume button is too small and difficult to rotate. Controls are not obvious. External mic, bluetooth, usb on front, good tuner, cd player, simple pushbutton presets make it a good value.

Pros: Easy install, excellent sound. Great features for the money.

Cons: Useless Pioneer manual, controls are not obvious, menu system is arcane and not intuitive. Main volume control is too small to easily turn.

Does NOT play *.m3u playlists off a USB key. Does NOT play from Android phones through USB (Pioneer Connect app for android is USELESS). Flawless USB connectivity with the iphone 4 I used to have, though. Bluetooth audio and calls work well with both iOS and Android, which saves this deck from a 1-star rating. Ipods are not the only mp3 players out there, Pioneer! If they fixed their Android connect app, this would be an easy 4-star deck.

Pros: Good iOS connectivity, good Bluetooth connectivity.

Cons: LACKS Android support for USB (Pioneer Connect app for Android does not work for anyone according to the Google Play store), NO playlist support from a USB key.

Pros: Great unit with lots of color options....

Cons: Instructions a bit vague, but if you take your time and read them you can make it through.

Cons: Must manually (ie. press yes) to connect my cell phone w/ receiver each time I start my car. this may be a phone issue as the receiver has an auto setting...

This unit was an exceptional addition to my smart phone usage while driving. I know the features included in my Galaxy II Epic Touch are responsible for many of the slick features like dimming the streaming audio sound for navigation directions, but the stereo cuts off the audio program for phone call usage and then resumes after the call is done. Very cool. I am a loyal Pioneer guy, and this head has all the features I have grown used to from the Pioneer line. The high functionality of the unit is great, and the low price was a pleasant bonus.... stop messin around and GET ONE!!!

Pros: Affordable, easy to install with Crutchfield's install guides and adapters, interfaced well with my Galaxy II Epic Touch

Cons: Display is kinda dim, and the Bluetooth does not connect microphone on the first try, menu is cumbersome with the single button operation

Bluetooth with a seperate mic in a stereo of this quality is just what I'd been looking for. And at this price point, its outstanding. It's given new life to my factory speakers. I can hear bass. Tried a unit with mic built into the front cover and it was crap. The seperate mic is a huge improvement. It's not as good as a wired headset, but it works well enough to call the wife on my way home from work (she's not listening anyway).

Pros: Bluetooth streaming. Sound quality. Cheap.

Cons: Limited Bluetooth controls. No smart phone app support. Display can be tough to see on sunny days (make the color white for best results).

It's a stupid looking thing that has small buttons which makes it harder to use while looking at the road. The volume knob is hard to use because it's too tight and too close to the other buttons. The initial demo mode is a pain. The instructions are somewhat poor. Installed quickly and fit properly. Sound is fine.

Pros: Price and initial quality seems good.

Cons: Just another flashy product without any real thought about intended usage.

Overall a good product with a few user interface issues that are a bit annoying. Not a problem for me because I'm a techno-dweeb, and an old geezer, but for those who are not, it may be a bit more of an issue and will take time getting used to. Background: this replaced the factory radio in a 2003 Ford Taurus wagon - so it is a major upgrade in performance. 1st, the display: In bright sunlight you must have the brightness turned all the way up and it still isn't quite enough. I'd give up the gazillion colors for one that is bright enough. Then at night the display is too bright if you have it set for bright sunlight. It has a dimmer function but it doesn't dim anywhere near enough for night driving. 2nd, On/Off. You don't press the volume control for on/off, you press the little "source" button at 2 o'clock from the volume control and you have to hold it in for a second for it to understand that you are turning it off. Bad choice. 3rd, seek buttons. The default mode is seeking by preset stations. Should default to manual. I love the USB input. It remembers where you left off if you remove it and plug it back in later. Overall: a good value with some user interface issues that may give the techno-challenged some frustration

    Pros: Performance Value

    Cons: User interface, setup

The sound quality on this is great - far superior to the original factory unit (that was supposedly made by Alpine according to the Honda parts listing). I kept the factory speakers and even with those the clarity of the music and sharpness of the voice is excellent. I can hear highs that I couldn't before and the lows have some energy so you can really hear it. This thing would probably be truly exceptional with upgraded speakers. I chose Pioneer as I'd had good experience with Pioneer car audio many many years ago and I must say that I am not disappointed now. From my point of view it would be hard to get a better unit for the money. Works great with my iPhone, easy to use and can control from the receiver, remote or the iPhone - how cool is that? The Bluetooth audio streaming is great, but I'm not planning on using the phone feature at the moment so I can't say. The controls are fairly easy to use - so many options to choose from! The icons on the main controls are clear and large enough to be legible from the drivers seat. Getting to the main options menu is only a push of a button away - just be safe and don't do it while you're driving! I really like the remote, it's relatively small and gives you good control of the receiver. It's laid out nicely and you can move through the presets, change to the next song or adjust the volume without taking your eyes off of the road.

Pros: The sound it great, the price is excellent.

Cons: The manual is marginally useful (aren't they all anymore?). The preset buttons could be larger.

I had it installed by a family friend in less than an hour and I was up and running. The sound is WONDERFUL. Crisp highs and clean lows. Right now I have my bass set to -2 and it's STILL very powerful. The bluetooth is awesome! Very clear phone calls and love the ease of playing music from my iPhone through the controls. The remote control is another handy feature. I highly recommend this receiver.

Pros: Great sound. Great price. Love the features. Cool display.

Cons: Display is dim during the day.

I've been using the deck for about a week now and I'm overall impressed. I normally use BT streaming for my spotify app and everyone sounds crisp and clean. It almost sounds like I added new speakers to the already existing OEM set I have in my Civic. I live in CA where it's normally sunny and this posses a problem for the deck in terms of display. It's extremely hard to read anything that going on in the deck, and if you plan to change the station, you best have your presets already in place. Otherwise, once setup, BT controls like pause, play, next, back, can be handled from the deck as well as phone calls as well as auto connecting as soon as you turn on your ignition (assuming you've let your phone do so). I haven't actually received a call via BT so I can comment as to how good it works. I found reception on the radio tuner great and no problems picking up stations. I've used the USB mostly for charging and can't comment as to the plug and play feature of the device nor te iProduct sync. I installed this deck myself and for a first time, with a little patience and the right tools this was a 1.5 hr task.

Pros: Great BT streaming w/ no hiccups whatsoever. Radio tuner sounds great Great customization

Cons: Super hard to read display in the daytime but who's going to be looking at their deck while you drive

Bought this unit to replace a factory unit that had seen better days. Easy to install and sounds great. Been thinking about upgrading stock systm for some time and am now glad that I did, what a difference. Now I can hear my music over the road noise. The sound is richer at a much lower volume.

Pros: Good quality built unit. Easy installation with Master sheet. Advisor was helpful with the questions that I had.

Cons: Pioneer's instructions were somewhat vague. Many wires to splice out for my installation, even with the new power cord from Crutchfield. This installation was not done at home and done on a time schedule, had vto drivre home with the unit in demo mode - very distracting. To program it I finally had to pull the fuse and start over, no problems then.

I bought this unit because I play music from my phone through my car a lot, and I was looking for something that would do the job better than a cassette adapter could do. The hands free calling was a plus too, and it powers my Pioneer speakers a lot better than my factory radio does. I'm a college kid, so I can't quite afford the 600-700 dollar head units that they got on the market now, so I figured I would go with this unit. I am not disappointed at all by my purchase. Installation was cake thanks to Crutchfield and their awesome mastersheet. I ran into a few little bumps installing the unit but they were nothing I couldn't figure out myself after a bit of thinking and referring to the manual. Anyway, on to the features. The bluetooth works just as good, if not, better than my cassette adapter did. It is a lot more convenient too since I don't have to fiddle with my phone to change tracks, since my radio does it for me when I press the arrow buttons! After some tinkering, I got the sound the way I like it, and it sounds great. The only thing I can think of at the moment that would make it better is if the controls were a bit more user friendly. If it weren't for the manual, I'd be really confused on how to operate my radio and change the settings. I haven't seen any issues with daylight obscuring the screen yet, but we'll see eventually if that happens. This has made my old van one step cooler, Thanks crutchfield!

Pros: Awesome sound quality (I have high end speakers, I can't say if it sounds good on factory speakers or not) Lots of ways to customize how your music sounds The unit itself is highly customizable Hands free calling Bluetooth audio

Cons: Confusing to understand at first, but you'll get the hang of it if you look at the manual and get used to having it in your car

I finally decided to upgrade the casette deck in my 2000 Forester. Rather than paying someone, I thought to do it myself. Installation of this receiver went well with the Master Sheet instructions and matching audio connector. I wanted to pay MP3 and Audible Books without the cassette input. I also figured to try a bluetooth connection with my cell phone to end the fumbling for a phone under a coat and seat belt. The install went well and I am getting good FM reception, playing MP3 audio from two players and making cell phone calls. I decide not to go to high end receiver as this is a twelve year old car driven locally so I am living with a dot matrix display and individual preset buttons. There is no integration with steer wheel controls. I'm happy with the improvement and hope for a long run with the receiver and car.

Pros: Easy installation, Bluetooth connectivity to cell phone.

Cons: Dot Matrix display and small buttons.

Replaced factory radio on 2001 Honda Accord. Radio trim panel removal was straightforward, but to install mic over the rear-view mirror, I had to remove the A-pillar panel, which was a little challenging. To remove A-pillar panel, first remove door weather stripping, then pull hard to remove A-pillar panel. The sound quality is awesome using the factory speakers, I can hardly believe this is the same car. Bluetooth call and audio streaming quality is great. The iPOD and aux connections work as advertised. The radio controls take a little getting used to, but are fairly easy to navigate through once you get the hang of it.

Pros: Decent price. Sound quality. Hands free calling, bluetooth audio streaming, iPOD, and aux connections.

Cons: Does not include case for detachable face plate.

I installed this unit in a 2004 Toyota Celica GTS that had the JBL premium audio package. At first I was unsure about replacing the head unit and losing the factory amp fear of possibly losing sound quality. I was blown away by the over all quality of sound that this unit produced. My speakers actually sounded clearer and louder than before. The Bluetooth audio streaming works excellent as does the Bluetooth phone features. I also got the factory amp by-pass harness to go with this and it is something i highly recommend if you are installing in a 2004-05 GTS Toyota Celica with the premium sound system.

Pros: BT audio streaming, BT phone features, USB and AUX in the front and tons of audio options. Great for iPhone users.

Cons: Have not had the unit long enough to find anything major, but for the price and its features i cant complain.

This unit does everything I wanted it to do. It loads up and plays my USB drives quick and easy. The AM reception is great (thanks Crutchfield sales adviser for this suggestion), which is key in pulling in baseball games on the radio! Cycling through the menu options annoys me a little but once things are set it is a non issue. The illumination options are great for matching my truck's displays. I didn't think I'd bother using the Bluetooth but, it is very easy and convenient. Overall, a great unit.

Pros: Has every option I needed. Reads USB quickly. Looks great! Sound is fantastic. Excellent AM reception.

Cons: My only small problem with this unit is that the display is a little tough to see in bright sun but too bright (in relation to my dash displays) at night. I also haven't gotten completely used to cycling through menu options searching for things like tone controls.

Installed this in my 03 Honda Accord and not satisfied with the product. As most folks have noted, the display is terrible. You can't read it during the day and it's always doing some squiggly thing that makes no sense to me. I like to listen to AM radio but this radio barely receives the most powerful Denver station. Ridiculous. The one cool feature is the Blue Tooth. I use my iphone with it and that works great. needless to say, I will be returning this to Crutchfield for something else.

Very easy to instal with everything included from Crutchfield. Seems to work fine though we haven't had a chance to use it much or use all the features. It is confusing at least at first to use though once you study the directions and play a little it's fairly logical in the way it's set up. Without that though people will probably have a hard time figuring out how to even turn the radio on. The buttons are small for operating while driving, probably why they include a remote for an auto stereo. But overall we are very happy with it so far. Can't comment on buid quality yet and don't know about coolness factor but I hit the stars by mistake and cant take them all away so left 4.

This is my 5th Pioneer Deck, so I may be a bit biased. I really like the style of this unit, the "coolness factor" is way up. the Bluetooth was very easy to set up, it almost does it for you!. the audio streaming works very well, you just have less control over your music device from this unit its self. I mounted the Mic in front of the instrament cluster on my Civic, and the call quality is great. I already had the wiring harness for my Civic from my previous Pioneer install, but the plug on the back of this unit is a bit different than my other unit; so a bit of soldering and heat shrink got the job done. Over all, 1 hour from start to finnish and it was up and running. I don't know why all the manufactures mainly have the USB iPod/iPhone hook up in the front? It has to be the ugliest thing, oh well I guess, it's a bit hard to get away from when they all are doing it. You have to spend quite a bit more to get a second in the back.

Pros: Bluetooth is flawless, color scheme is pretty cool and iPod integration works well. It's pretty easy to control from the unit.

Cons: wish it had the rear iPod/Iphone hook up in the back as well. would like to have seen a 3rd Pre out in the rear. would like to see the illumination a bit brighter. I have all the colors turned up to 60, but it still seems a bit dim in the daylight on the display side. The control side is fine.

Excellent deck...excellent price. I purchased for a 2007 Corolla because our state is now hands free. I wanted a deck that could do it all..Ipod...etc. I am thrilled with this purchase...Price was excellent..features are exactly what I wanted. I am highly recommending Crutchfield. They are excellent. I called to ask them if they would match a price on Amazon.com. They stated no. I thought I would have saved $20 bucks, but with Cruchfield you get the whole package..product, wires to hook it up, dash kit, and SUPPORT. What was I thinking....would recommend the deck and most of all the company. They are the best. Great group..all the way from the front end..sales..Bob helped me pick out my deck..to the back end..I did get stuck and needed some advice. I called and the rep. knew my name and the car I was putting it it right off the bat. I was on the phone for less than 5 min, and off and running. The deck was installed within an hour. Very pleased...I tell anyone I know if they are looking to go hands free...check out Crutchfield.

Pros: Hands Free works really well. I have an older flip phone (seriously) and it connected no problem. Alot of bang for my buck..many features for an very reasonable price. I was going to buy a $110 hands free speaker/mic/fm transmitter. This was a little more and has a constant power supply. I am thrilled not to have another wire hanging in my car's lighter for charging. Call comes in...music goes off...call over..music comes right back on where I left off. Comes with own microphone--EXCELLENT

Cons: Scanning for radio stations a little cumbersome than I would expect, but I can live with it. Rear hook up for IPod would be nice. The next model up has it, but it is quite a bit more, but you get HD Radio--it that is what you want.

Bought this for my fiance's 02 Civic sedan. She LOVES it! Bluetooth audio streaming just blows her mind every day, and it "just works". Bluetooth call quality is great. We mounted the mic on the top of her steering column to keep it away from the window, since she smokes and always has it cracked. She also loves the color changing display. We set the text display to White (since the sun makes it hard to see during the day) and the Volume knob/buttons to constantly cycling through different colors. She gets compliments every time her friends ride with her. It's just powering her stock speakers, but after I did a bit of EQ'ing, it sounds LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than the stock headunit did. Being able to pull out the mid-bass a bit and use the Loudness setting (on 'Low') to get a little boost all around made a world of difference.

Pros: Bluetooth Audio and Call quality, overall sound/amplification qualify, display looks nice, rotary volume knob makes it easy to adjust without needing to look away from the road.

Have never installed an aftermarket radio before in any vehicle I have owned. But this was pretty straight forward. Like others have said the controls are a little small for someone with big fingers, but the remote is the answer to that problem. It works like a charm. And the Ford truck kit that came with the unit fit like a glove. Like the colors the display produces and the detachable faceplate. Bluetooth and phone work fantastic and easy to set up. Took me awhile to figure out all the controls, but have it mastered now. Making the purchase was easy also thanks to the "Fitment guide" on Crutchfield's website. The only problem was deciding on which model to purchase. Thanks Crutchfield

Pros: Quality, display, remote control, fit in the dashboard, bluetooth

Cons: Buttons are a little small but looks as though all models are that way.

Easy to install, love the looks, love the different choices of colors for both the buttons and the display. It says 20,000 options, and it means it. You can select from ~20 pre-set colors, or you can customize the colors to whatever tone you want. I LOVE the bluetooth capability. I get in my car, my phone connects, and I am listening to tunes saved on my phone. I get a phone call, push a button, and am talking clearly to whomever calls me. The phone call ends, and I go right back to singing along with my tunes. I have it paired with a set of Rockford Fosgate Prime component speakers in the front, and Rockford Fosgate Prime Co-axials in the rear. Amazing sound quality, love the wattage, I am running it without an amp, and it gets PLENTY loud. I am also excited because I am no longer worried about missing phone calls.

Pros: Beautiful color choices, bluetooth works great. Can charge my phone with the USB port while broadcasting VIA bluetooth. MP3, WMA capabilities

    Cons: None so far!!

The main reason I got this unit was because of the fact that you can change the color of the backlight on the receiver. All my interior lighting is amber, and the idea of putting in a stereo that lights green or purple made me kinda sick. This one has SO many different colors, it'll match almost any car's interior lighting. Even if doesn't match perfectly you can customize the color that you pick. It's actually kinda nuts. The bluetooth connectivity makes it even better. Once paired, it made my 14 year old car almost feel current. No more worrying about getting busted by the fuzz. Sound quality is nice, and very easy to customize. From boomy to warm, most everyone will dig the quality. This unit was very inexpensive for all the features it comes with.

Pros: Color customization RULES! Bluetooth connectivity is quite nice. Sound quality is great. Value. So much value!

Cons: The only con I've found is the fact that when the unit is paired with my phone, and I dial FROM my phone, the person on the other end can't hear me. However if I dial from the receiver, which reads my phonebook (which is a cool feature), it works great. It's an odd glitch, and I'm not sure if it's the fault of my head unit or my phone. Still trying to figure it out.

Overall, this is a great head unit. It has all the features I was looking for at a great price. Lots of value.

    Pros: BT, RDS, and USB.

Cons: Volume knob can be hard to grasp sometimes. Station buttons are small. Display is a little busy for my taste.

I have bought two of these units. I bought one for myself to replace a unit that was in old convertible that got totaled. My wife who drives a Honda and I had put a new head unit into her car two months earlier that had the similar features. Wanted one as soon as she drove my car!

Pros: Has radio preset buttons (this is what my wife wanted) Radio presets act as speed dial buttons for your phone! Voice call quality is the best I have ever used period. With a convertible I have entered my car started up and driven away and the caller had no idea I was in my car. The secret is the visor mounted directional microphone. Even driving at highway speeds the other person can here me clearly. When using iPhone cable you have the option of controlling music from iPhone or unit. Colors

Cons: BT audio is tricky to use at first. There is no way to remove a speed dial number once it is in the present. I have not tried deleting the contact from the phone. My head unit died. Where in Crutchfield Awesome Gods of Electronics rush into the rescue. I used the unit I bought for my wife to trouble shoot. Crutchfield sent a new unit to me no cost in two day. I first bought from Crutchfield in higschool a tape player am/fm radio for my 72-Toyota that is more than 30 years ago. The Best

Bought this radio on a Monday and it was here on Wednesday. Fast shipping and free with Crutchfield, very impressed. Shipped in peanuts and safe. And the free stuff they throw in for you was a great bonus. Easy instructions they sent, detailed and everything needed. Now, onto the radio. It looked great out of the box, liked the display and set up. Buttons are fine for me. Breeze to install in my 91 Firebird, no cutting, bending, anything. Wired up the harness and got my mic ran up my A post and was set. Got all my setting done. Love all of the color options. Nice and clear display. Bright enough to see in day, granted if the sun is in your eyes and on it, obviously its hard to see. But buttons are nice and placed well. Smooth control, easy to navigate the menus. Has your EQ settings, tone control. Easy to set up. I do have aftermarket speakers all around in my car, and they weren't bad with the factory radio, but when this was hooked up and set up to what I wanted, they sounded amazing. I didn't even know they could sound that good. The Bluetooth works pretty good. Mic pics up and syncs with my phone. Even has phone book in radio. Looks good in dash, not odd or sticking out way to far. I did have to extend it because of a bracket in my dash but no big deal. It was defiantly worth the money. If you are looking for a good radio, with good sound and usb input, which works nice. Buy this radio if you don't want to spend a lot of money. I read all reviews which helped.

Pros: Whole thing. Sounds great, looks great, easy to use, easy to install. Great options, and color combinations. Can see in day good. Really cool looking at night. Only thing I can't help with is Ipod. But I'm sure it works great. Just buy it!

    Cons: I can't find a single one.

For the price this is a very good unit. The crutchfield supplied harnesses worked great and installation is a breeze. It looks good and is pretty easy to use. It seemed to make my stock tacoma speakers sound clearer. I wish it had more EQ options but the ones it has work for most songs. The blue tooth works great and people on the other end have said they hear can me with no problems. The only real gripe I have is the screen has a very bad glare when the sun shines in the cab making it impossible to read.

    Pros: Bluetooth is crystal clear.

Cons: Glare makes it impossible to read display sometimes.

Bought many in the past and another good receiver. Lots of features for a resonable price. Bought for my better half to get the Bluetooth capabilities, had an annoying hum in the original mic mounting position on the steering column. Don't really care about the coolness factor but didn't want to go any lower on stars.

This receiver is fantastic. I am a female and installed it myself but not without the help of the great Tech Support. I have never done anything like this so had to call several times as issues came up but each call was a pleasure. I got great guidance from everyone I spoke to and was more than happy at the service. Readouts look great because I could match them to the exisiting color scheme in my 1996 BMW. I am thrilled with the Blue Tooth feature where you can talk on your receiver. I haven't gotten it completely set up yet but you can assign 6 numbers to the toggle keys for people you call most. I must say the manual leaves A LOT to be desired. It is not clear at all so most of my set ups have been trial and error. I am not an audiophile but I can say that it sounds darn great to me. This receiver will not disappoint and take my hint, install it yourself. Do not pay someone $100 to do the job. It takes a little time, moreso if you are a newbie like me but the pride of doing it yourself is worth it. If I can do it anyone can. Thanks Crutchfield

Pros: Coor change Blue Tooth Sounds great out of factory speakers

This Pioneer tuner is a fantastic value as a replacement to the factor unit in my 96 Passat! Install was a snap. Had it in and playing in a bit over an hour, using the OEM speakers. It sure improved the sound of those, although I will be adding a small self-powered sub to the trunk for a bit of punch to the bass. A bit of a learning curve for the controls, but not as complex as I feared. I LOVE the bluetooth and hookups for the iphone as well as the color options for the buttons and display. You will not regret ordering the DEH6400BT!!

I installed it in my 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS. The sound quality is fantastic...a huge improvement from the stock CD player. Bluetooth Audio is fantastic. I pair it with my 2011 iPhone 4S. It basically starts playing the next song on my playlist as soon as I switch the car ON. I don't have to fiddle with my iPhone at all unless I want to change the playlist or use a different app. Bluetooth phone calls are a breeze. I have not managed to make Siri work via Bluetooth yet. But I do not actively use my phone when driving anyway, so it is not a big deal. Crutchfield provided me all the hardware (wiring harness and dash kit) needed to install, so installation was a breeze. I had a friend help me with soldering the wires. Crutchfield even provided detailed photographs of how to remove the dash trim. This was a huge bonus.

Pros: Sound, Good Dynamic Range, Excellent Bluetooth performance, Crutchfield free user guides and accessories

Cons: Siri does not work via Bluetooth.
