Pioneer designed the DEH-7300BT CD receiver for all you iPod® fans who also want hands-free calling. When a call comes in, this Pioneer will mute the music and allow you to take the call on your compatible phone without taking your hands off the wheel — an important safety advantage on your busy commute. Plug your iPod into the USB input, and you can use the Pioneer's controls to run the show. Once connected, the receiver bypasses your iPod's built-in digital-to-analog converter, using its own high-quality DAC to deliver your music files with the highest fidelity possible.

All the music you want to play
The DEH-7300BT plays all your CDs, including those with MP3 and WMA files burned onto them. You can use the handy front-panel USB input for thumb drives packed with music files, and you'll see song titles and other info clearly displayed in bright white characters on the high-definition OEL screen. The front panel auxiliary input is handy for plugging in a satellite radio, gaming device, or another audio source.

A sound investment
Pioneer's Easy EQ 3-band equalizer gives you excellent control over the receiver's sound. The Advanced Sound Retriever is tailored specifically for your audio files, reversing the compression process to give you more high-freqency sparkle and musical detail.

The built-in amplifier delivers plenty of power for good, clean sound. The two sets of preamp outputs offer a convenient connection to a full system with external amplifiers, speakers, and subs. You'll find the low-pass filter and level control on the subwoofer preamp outputs handy for adjusting the bass from the driver's seat.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?
In most vehicles, you can use an adapter to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this Pioneer stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the Pioneer, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. Check the "Accessories" tab for compatible adapters.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver.

Great Bluetooth, otherwise I hate it

The Bluetooth is the best I have used, though that's mainly because it has a corded microphone that you have to run around the windshield to a visor to mount it. Sound quality is also good, and the inclusion of both USB/iPod and an Aux jack for other players on the front panel is nice. However, tuner sensitivity is poor - local channels that my stock Dodge radio received great are interrupted by hiss on this unit. Also, the user interface is reprehensible - you hold down a small, barely labelled button for Off and input selection, which I would assume are important functions. Larger, backlit buttons perform minor functions, and the screen seems to always be unreadable due to glare. Lastly, it doesn't seem to actually turn off - hold down the off button and sound stops, but you are still assaulted with all the video game-like lights and scrolling display reading "Pioneer" - when I get time, I'll read the mediocre owners manual and see if there are any options on this. If it wasn't for the bluetooth, this would be going back. Oh, and the remote control only works within a 90deg cone of the reciever - it doesn't work if I hold it near the steering wheel, but it works great from the back seat.

    Pros: Great Bluetooth

Cons: Horrible front panel layout, User interface, and disappointing tuner.

I am a notorious researcher and always try to find a better deal. Typically I can find the products slightly cheaper somewhere else but I rarely find a better value than with Crutchfield. All the extras you get with their car audio products make it well worth a few dollars more. This Pioneer car stereo went in my daughter's 2001 Civic and she and her b/f actually installed it with relative ease (and I thought I'd have to). She's very pleased with it other than the factory speakers that I just ordered replacements for (Crutchfield as well). It looks good, sounds good (soon to be great) and for $150ish, was as good a value as I could find at the time.

Pros: CF backed, great instructions, good value

Cons: Interface is so-so but better than many.

The Pioneer Is working very well both as a sound source - IPad, CD, radio - and as a blue tooth phone receiver with my Samsung phone. I am considering buying another for my work truck. It was easy to install and works, with the adapter, with the steering wheel controls, The drawback is not being able to read the display in the daylight. I bought it for the features and not to be 'cool'. Who would buy something just to be 'cool'?

I've had Pioneer since I had my first car (it's been a while), and I couldn't be happier with this upgrade installation from my last Pioneer. Bluetooth is breeze to set up with iPhone and works perfect, I have yet to get the complaint of an "echo" heard by person on other end, like most hands-free will do. Pandora and iPod will play immediately when connected to phone. This is def worth the investment if you want many options from a stereo with good sound.

Pros: Good sound. Remote included. Compatable with pandora and iPod. Bluetooth works great! Does everything I needed.

The install was very easy with the supplied kit. After playing around for a bit the should was much better then the stock Ford Ranger system. I found the menus easy to use it only took about 3 min to figure it all out. I wish it had separate rear and sub RCA outputs. Also it would have been nice if you did not have to unplug the AUX in or USB to remove the face plate.

Pros: Well made easy to use and install. Sound is not bad but could be better with a little more power or a add on small amp like Alpine would be nice. BT is easy to use as well as the Ipod functions.

Cons: Display is WAY TO BRIGHT!!! You can land airplanes or guide ships into the habor with this thing. Pioneer either needs to add the dimmer circuit back in or have a setting in a menu. I was able to fix the all to bright display by gently opening up the face plate and installing 4 small pieces of Kapton tape over the LEDs under the 4 large clear buttons. Now it is much better at night and I did not notice any issues in the day time either.

Teenager's have enough things to distract them. Talking on the phone and/or changing radio stations are probably the two biggest distractions. This radio lets my daughter plug in her iPod before she pulls out of the driveway, and allows her to answer the phone hands free if a call comes in. To me, it's worth it's weight in gold.

Pros: Hooks up to my kid's iPod, enables her to talk on her cell phone hands free.

Cons: Maybe I'm old, but I find these radios a little hard to navigate.

Great head unit for its power range

Written By Brian, from California on Sunday, October 09, 2011

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this unit to replace a stock head unit. It has more than enough power to handle two new Pioneer 6 3/4" three-way speakers and existing external component tweeters. Even though it lists just 3 bands of equalization, the amount of adjustment is more than enough. The added loudness adjustment and tone control adjustments allow for even more fine tuning of the sound output. Everything works as promised. The hands-free BT phone works flawlessly and sounds great both incoming and outgoing. The installation was a breeze with the great kit supplied by Crutchfield.

The bottom line, this unit sounds great and at this price is a super value. I highly recommend the 7300BT.

Second attempt at getting better sound in my '04 Wrangler. First was adding decent sub and speakers which made the aftermarket JVC unit the previous owner installed still seem inadequate even with the expanded bass thumping. After the 1 hour install - made very easy by Crutchfield's MasterSheets, wiring harness, antenna, etc. - I was very pleased with the result. This unit is a definite upgrade not only for the sound but for the added features. Yes, takes some time to figure out the bells and whistles but quite enjoyable now (3 weeks later). BTW, I ran the microphone wire up through the roll bar and have no problem with the phone.

    Sound Quality is excellent

Written By TomyBoy, Maryland on Tuesday, September 06, 2011

I just purchased this stereo, and install took only but 30 minutes.

BT Sound: It was raining heavily that day and the person I was speaking to had no problems hearing me with road noise and rain noise combined. My car is ten years old, and it still kept the sound quality great.

Good product if you have a iPhone. It connects with no problems every time you turn on your car etc. Good purchase.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is the second Pioneer receiver I have purchased (the first was stolen ) from Crutchfield and it has not disappointed. Looks great, good volume and quality (on old Honda Accord speakers), Bluetooth setup and call quality for phone works well, music from USB drive relatively easy to access even though the search capability of use was not as good as my previous Pioneer. On the downside, the wiring hookup instructions led me down the wrong path but the great technical support at Crutchfield came to the rescue. Good value and would recommend it for anyone looking for a solid functional receiver that is easy to use.

    good for the $

Written By Stage, Boulder, CO on Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Overall a nice unit with lots of options and connectivity for the money. The main reason i bought it was for the connectivity, they could drop the CD entirely and save some money IMO.

Sound quality is great and it has enough power to push 4 middle grade Kenwood coaxial 6.5"'s. The install and phone setup was easier than i expected.

    The cons are:

Usability and navigating the menu's are simply not user intuitive. You get use to it but i wasn't impressed on the functionality. Still haven't figured out why the BT won't autoconnect once the head unit comes on. There is also no off button on the unit which is annoying especially when you can't dim the lighting on it. You can hit the button to remove the face and that shuts it down but i question how good that is on the unit.

I'd give it 3 stars if it wasn't so inexpensive but for the price I know you get what you pay for.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this receiver as a replace for my 5 year old Blapunkt that did not have the new features I wanted. The IPhone connectivity is great, and it charges. The handsfree bluetooth works great as well. The radio works good, but the tweaking can a little twicky...especially if dont read instrutions..haha. I have it connected to a Sony Xplode 10" sub, it sounds great but I had to turn my amp up just a little to get the same bass. Overall is the best receiver I have ever had and have owned just about one of each of the major brands over the years.

    Almost perfect!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Install was a cinch with the included gear (Thanks, Crutchfield!), even for my first ever install.

The Good: The unit does its job well, radio is clear as expected, CD playback works well, iPod control and USB thumbdrive file access is very handy and sounds great. Bluetooth is loud and clear, people on the other end of the call have no complaints. Mic cord is exceptionally long, easy to run anywhere you want. Paired up with my Droid X effortlessly, re-pairs automatically.

The Indifferent: Blue LEDs can't be dimmed, but don't seem to bother me. I don't do much night driving. Doesn't seem to be a way to turn the unit completely off once turned on. Holding the off button just puts it back to the scrolling Pioneer logo. (Might be I haven't read deep enough in the docs to figure that out, though, so not really a negative except for the ambiguous controls)

The Meh: No voice dial, only phone book which is not safe to do while driving. Dialing from phone is easier, especially if you have a car mount. Contacted Pioneer support, they submitted the request to engineers. Hopefully a future firmware will have it but I'm not holding my breath. Had to knock off a star for that because it's a very bad oversight. Folders on USB driver are numbered, not names, yet it can display the folder name while playing music inside the folder.

The Bad: Nothing really bad about the unit. Some disappointments (See "meh" above) but I would still highly recommend it for the price+features.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this radio for my wife's 2003 Ford Taurus. I bought it to upgrade her stock radio and to provide her with hands free (Bluetooth) capability. Excellent radio! Good, clear, crisp sound and a huge improvement over the stock radio even with the stock speakers. Bluetooth setup and use is easy and was one of the main reasons for buying this particular radio. Works perfectly with her Samsung phone. Address book downloaded with a click of a button and the telephone presets were easily set up. Installation in a 2003 Ford Taurus was a little more difficult than other cars, but Crutchfield's technical support was excellent - a very knowledgeable support staff. This is the second radio, I bought a Kenwood for my Tahoe, and I couldn't be happier with the support I have received. I will be buying the same radio for my daughter's car in the near future.

Disappointed with volume, probably should have been advised by Zack to buy a unit with higher voltage output to pre-amps. Of course I didn't know that higher outputs were available until I looked through the brochure that came with my order. Volume control goes to 62 on unit and I'm usually at 50 plus to get decent volume. This car is a convertible so its noisier than a coupe. My Mustang Convert w/Shaker 500 radio has sufficient volume for any occasion.

Will buy this unit for my two other vehicles...sound is great, Bluetooth
hands-free phone is great, that should do it...but Crutchfield needs kudos and
    feedback too:

Great website for research and e-commerce! Shipping was excellent. Missing the
screw to secure rear mount bracket for this dash adapter kit - not a common
thread so killed a lot of time finding one. Missing crimp caps referenced in
wiring directions, and no language to say they should or should not be there...I
soldered connections on my bench anyway but just saying... Used tech support
for power up - turns out blown fuse under the hood and tech Marty knew which one
    and what rating - nice!

Overall excellent Crutchfield/Pioneer experience. Now I'm researching for my

& Slacker from my android phone! Install very simple, dash conversion could fit
better, the double din dash filler in black!.
Radio sounds great, buttons are tiny... Input for iPod is stellar and sounds
awesome. 3.5mm input from Android phone for Pandora and Slacker is very
very convenient. The Blue Tooth is great, but i am dissapointed it does not

I needed a new radio that was bluetooth for handsfree so as to use it with a phone unfortunaly until you read all the information does it say that it does not support Bluetooth Audio Streaming. The phone connection works perfectly and sounds great and the quality of the music is great, but what's the point of having bluetooth that doesn't handle Bluetooth Audio Streaming. I guess that's my fault for assuming that when it states that it is bluetooth that it only means that its a little bluetooth not alot. As for Crutchfield I have been buying car audio equiptment for over 20yrs and this is the only time I have been dissapointed, but they need to inform the customer if a feature is limited in the overview not in the bottom of the research. The control functions are a little confusing without the manual also.

This is a FAIL for Pioneer

Written By Daniel, Sedona , AZ on Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Had this unit and returned it.
It sounds great, and the BT worked flawlessly.
    The problems:
    1. backlighting is not dimmable. The buttons surrounding the control knob glow bright blue - too bright and distracting at night. Pioneer tech support said dimming the display was not a "feature" of this unit. In my opinion, this is inexcusable.
    2. The labeling on the buttons is microscopic. I frequently had to pull over and put on reading glasses to see what feature was on what button.
    3. The lableing is not illuminated. So even with the glaring bright buttons at night, Pioneer saw fit NOT to illuminate the aforementioned microscopic labels. At night, you're just supposed to know what button does what.

If you just want great sound during the daytime and don't care about reading button labels, this is a great unit.
If you spend a lot of time in your car actually driving, I'd suggest you pass on this unit.

    Very Disappointed!

    1. Counter-intuitive and confusing controls. Pioneer sacrifices fuction for style. I
am constantly referencing the manual, and even then it is hard to get the thing
    to work properly.
    2. iPod controls: so far, all I get is a track number on the screen. I can't seem to
figure out how to navigate menues or select playlists--it just randoms through
my entire play list. I may just put one play-list on my car ipod, and update it
    3. Bluetooth controls: I cant figure out how to control the phone through the
stereo controls; I just pick up the phone to do anything (I wish I could do that
with my iPod, but it just displays the Pioneer logo when connected).

    Great Bluetooth Stereo Set

Written By Shawn Cicero, Pottsville, PA on Wednesday, March 09, 2011

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This stereo is perfect. I own both the 7300 series and 6400 DEH stereos with
Bluetooth. One because it was red, one because of blue. Overall they are the
same, I searched many sites before making this decision and I am hoping this
    helps you as well.

Looks great, Bluetooth set up and ipod controls are very easy. We have multiple
phones so a simple renaming of the phones made it easy to set 3 different phones
    to one stereo with ease.

I was impressed with the length of the cord so I can install the mic anywhere in
the car. I'm normally not into reviews, I just felt the need to try to help
others make the right choice. You wont be disappointed about anything.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this unit primarily for the Bluetooth feature. I paired it with an HTC Hero on the
Sprint network. Initially it did not connect properly. After doing some research I
discovered that the HTC Hero is notorious for having Bluetooth connection problems. I
completely deleted the pairing on both the HTC Hero and the Pioneer and went through
the pairing process again. It was successful and Bluetooth works great now. When
talking on the phone only the left front speaker is active which is a feature that I happen
to like. For music I bought a 64GB Patriot Xporter ultra high read speed USB Flash Drive.
Once the initial loading is complete access to individual songs is pretty much
instantaneous. A couple of things that I don't like are: 1) Folders are displayed as F1,
F2, F3, etc. rather than as the actual name of the folder as it is listed on the USB drive. 2)
There is character limit on how much of the file name gets displayed even when the
display is in scroll mode. I save my files with the artist name followed by the song name.
When the combined file name is too long the end of it gets cut off. Sound quality is
excellent. It is obvious that Pioneer did their homework on the digital to analog
components they used. Overall the deck is a great value.

Great CD receiver, iPod controls work great, love the fact that you can search your phone
book through the radio and make calls. The bluetooth feature is really good, the
microphone picked up every sound just fine. I tested it out and someone told me they
couldn't tell I had them on a speakerphone. Had some issues with the settings but tech
support walked me through it and I now have it integrated with my amp and subwoofer. I
wish the screen could display more characters but thats a minor flaw.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

So I used to manage a car stereo department for a major electronics retailer a few years
    back. I haven't installed a stereo since...the installation was a piece of cake,I couldn't
imagine even the newest of newbies having a problem with it. The stereo itself is great,
the bluetooth capability is awesome with the mic included in the box and the sound
through the system speakers is crystal clear and easy to match to almost any phone.
The price was just right for the quality...overall i would say the I am pleasantly surprised
and even a little impressed with the ease of purchase, support and quality of my
    crutchfield purchase.

    Thanks guys!

Installed for 2 weeks. The menu system takes a little to figure out with a
I-pod. The instructions for ipod use / menu system are not real helpful. I have
not tried a audio-book yet. Must have a I-Pod / Iphone cable that dose not pop
up warning! Radio work's rarely use it. If the instructions for menu system were
easier to figure out would have given 5 stars.

GREAT Head Unit At An Almost Bargain Price

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Take this for what it's worth because it's from a 60 yr-old audio babe in the woods... I'm
thrilled with this radio. First time I've ever used anything bluetooth, and paired up my
iphone in only 2 or 3 tries. Sounds dynamite in a '91 F150 using Alpine SPS-600s in the
    doors only.
No need for an amp... will blow my old ears off with the standard setup. The directions are
not all that intuitive for a novice, but not impossible to figure out once I printed a set that
was large enough to read. Neither caller nor callee can tell that bluetooth or a remote
microphone is involved. It's going to take a little practice for me to learn the operation of
that dang master control button, but the included remote is fairly full-featured so I may just
use that as it is easier to figure out.
Can't beat the quick service from Crutchfield. Got it in two days with free shipping. Thanks.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a decent unit, but could be better.
Once you dial in the sound adjustments ( and there are lots of them) you can get
a really nice sounding system from this HU.
I wasn't impressed w/ the feel of the unit...seems cheap and plastic.
The Bluetooth is decent but sometimes I got echo from my mic to speakers.

What really dissappoints me about this unit is the intensity of the button
lights at night. They do not dim when headlights are on. The blue lights are
annoyingly bright and light up the whole interior of my truck.

All in all its a good unit, good sound, easy functions...just don't be blinded
    by the light!

    Excellent, but not universal Bluetooth

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love this radio. I replaced the factory unit on an old Toyota. Just
about any radio would be an upgrade, but this is above and beyond many
friends' radios. The iPod connection and interface is great. OK, it took
me a bit to learn how to operate it, but only about 20 minutes.

My only beef is the Bluetooth phone ability, and that's because I have
an older model cell phone which the does not identify. THAT'S MY FAULT -
the Pioneer website lists phones that are compatible, my phone was not
on the list, and I thought I'd take a chance. My friend has a newer
phone (Evo) and it connected quickly and flawlessly.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this unit - but if you want to connect your phone via
Bluetooth, be aware that old phones may not be able to take advantage of
this feature. Check Pioneer's website for a list of compatible phones.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The controls are decently laid out. It easily connected with my phone (Motorola
karma) and seems to have every function I might need, with the exception of
voice dialing. This may be a limitation of my phone, I'll have to do some research.

The unit sounds good. I especially like that you can set the volume of different
inputs so they are all the same level.

The ipod controls are pretty easy to figure out and do the job nicely.

I took off a star for the lack of a case for the faceplate, but that's really a
minor detail. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a head
    unit in this price range.

This radio has an extremely well laid out front panel that is user friendly and easy to use
while driving. Cannot beat the performance for the price. I purchased this radio for the
bluetooth and it works and sounds great for one phone. The only drawback is that
everytime someone else drives I have to manually change which phone is connected,
it's not automatic. Other than a little inconvenience this is an incrediblely easy to use and
a great sounding radio packed with features.

Feature rich radio for the money

Written By StephenG, Atlanta, Ga on Monday, February 07, 2011

I purchased this radio for the bluetooth feature and the aux input for my sat. radio. I was
having trouble with static with the fm broadcast from the sat. unit. I never expected ipod
controls and the amount of things this radio will do. It stores my address book, controls
my iphone music playback, has the auxillary input, and even has RDS for FM stations. It
fit perfectly in my car and was a no brainer installation. Some of the buttons are a little on
the small size, but I admit that my vision isn't what it once was. With my glasses,
everything is easy to use. I've quickly learned button locations now so my reading
glasses aren't needed at all. I highly recommend this head unit if you are looking for a
much better than average radio full of options.

I was Impressed by the ease of installation using all the provided kit I had everything I needed to get the job done right. Ordering was a breeze I used the click to call feature where they call you.. I hadnt decided on this radio at the start but told the tech what features i would like to see and he found this for me which included bluetooth and Mp3 as well as a port to play my media player through the unit they are very helpful total instalation time about 45min to an hour. I took my time because I wanted to be sure everything aligned up. I looked and found the Pioneer itself cheaper but every place wanted shipping charges additional and it did not include the install kit.. It was easy to setup my blackberry storm to connect to the reciever and to make and recieve calls the person i talked to in my test call said the call was very clear with no back ground noise and I could hear them plain with no static through my speakers. The features of this unit more than meet my needs and next I will get an amp and some better speakers if I go over 45 on the volume it sounds as though they may pop so I believe the unit has more than enough power output alone sounded great alot better than the factory unit! I am pleased with this purchase! I would recommend it and crutchfield. I wont buy another anywhere else the install kits make it worth the purchase here!

    Display Features

Detachable Face Security: This unit features Detachable Face Security. A face-fixing screw is supplied for making the face non-detachable, if desired.

Note: No face case is included with this unit. An optional soft face case (142DFC1X, sold separately) can be purchased for this unit.

White OEL Display: The DEH-7300BT features a bright white OEL Display (1-line/10-Character) that can display upper- and lower-case characters. This display makes it easy to read and cycle through song titles, artists, and other texts.

Ever Scroll: When the Ever Scroll feature is set to On, recorded text information scrolls continuously on the display. It will auto-scroll up to 64 characters. Set this feature to Off if you prefer the information to scroll only once.

Display Illumination/Clock Display: When the Clock Display has been turned on, pressing and holding the Source button turns off audio output, but the clock display remains on. When the Clock Display has been turned off, pressing and holding the source button turns the unit off completely. Even if you have turned the radio completely off you can view the clock display by pressing the clock button. The clock will then remain On until you turn it back Off. When the unit is On you can select between the clock display or the audio track/tuner display.

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The Pioneer in-dash head unit utilizes a 24-bit digital to analog converter for superior CD sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The DEH-7300BT is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit.

CEA2006 Compliant: The power specifications for the DEH-7300BT are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers. The power output specs for the DEH-7300BT are as follows:

    • CEA2006 Specs: 14 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Continuous Power Output: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 50Hz-15kHz, 5% THD)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (or 50 watts x 2 channels at 4 ohms + 70 watts x 1 channel at 2 ohms for subwoofer)

3-Way Rotary Commander: The Pioneer DEH-7300BT features a 3-Way Rotary Commander for easy control. You can scroll through your music and audio settings with greater ease using the 3-way rotary commander.

Advanced Sound Retriever: The Advanced Sound Retriever automatically enhances compressed audio and restores the original richness of the recording. When Advanced Sound Retriever is on, the high frequency range is compensated to match the frequency response curve to the original sound. There are two available levels of the Advanced Sound Retriever effect.

EEQ (Easy EQ): The DEH-7300BT is equipped with a 3-band EQ with 6 preset EQ settings: Powerful, Dynamic, Vocal, Natural, Custom, and EQ Flat. The Custom band can be adjusted as follows:

    • Bass: +/- 6dB at 100 Hz
    • Mid: +/- 6dB at 1 kHz
    • Treble: +/- 6dB at 10 kHz

Loudness: The Loudness feature compensates for deficiencies in the low and high sound ranges at low volume. You can set the Loudness feature to Low, Mid, High, or Off.

Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function lets you adjust the volume level of each source to prevent radical changes in volume when switching between sources. Settings are based on the volume level of the FM tuner, which remains unchanged. Each source can be independently adjusted from -4dB to +4dB.

Dual 2.0-Volt Preamp Outputs: The Pioneer DEH-7300BT features two pair of 2.0-volt preamp outputs (Front & Rear/SW). The unit's rear preamp output can be configured as a fading rear-channel output or a non-fading subwoofer output with a low-pass filter, phase adjustment, and output level control.

Subwoofer Controls: When the unit's Rear/SW preamp output is configured as a subwoofer output, you can select the frequency of the 18dB/octave low pass filter (50, 63, 80, 100, or 125 Hz), select the subwoofer phase (normal/reverse), and the subwoofer gain (+6 to -24).

Switchable Rear Channel/Subwoofer Speaker Output: The rear speaker outputs can be set to provide full range output with full fading capability, or they can be set to provide non-fading subwoofer (low-pass) output. When the rear speaker outputs are set to subwoofer mode, the rear preamp outputs also switch from full range to subwoofer outputs. When set for subwoofer operation, you can connect the rear speaker leads directly to two small 4-ohm passive subwoofers or a dual voice coil sub with 4-ohm voice coils. If you prefer to use a single 2-ohm subwoofer, you can connect the woofer to one set of speaker leads, leaving the other set of rear leads disconnected. The maximum output provided when a 2-ohm load is connected to one set of leads is 70 watts.

    Radio Functions

Supertuner IIID AM/FM Tuner: The Supertuner IIID features Feed Forward Control, which avoids multi-path interference. This pre-detection of interference enables quick filter control and results in less distortion. In addition, the Supertuner IIID creates enhanced stereo during multi-path interference, unlike conventional tuners that collapse to mono. Digital processing reduces distortion, and improves Signal-to-Noise Ratio and stereo separation. Advanced analog technology improves signal processing sensitivity.

RDS: The Radio Data System (RDS) feature displays radio broadcast information such as artist, title, and album when listening to compatible AM/FM stations.

BSM (Best Stations Memory): The BSM (Best Stations Memory) function lets you automatically store the six strongest stations under preset buttons 1-6 of the currently tuned band. The tuner has 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank. You can store 6 presets for each bank giving you a total of 18 FM presets and 6 AM presets.

Local Tuning: Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. There are 4 level of sensitivity for FM and two levels for AM. The higher settings allow reception of only the strongest stations, while lower settings let you receive progressively weaker stations.

    Disc Playback

Compatible Discs: The Pioneer DEH-7300BT supports playback of CD-Audio, CD-Text, CD-R, and CD-RW discs.

MP3/WMA Playback: This unit can play MP3 and WMA files recorded on CD-R and CD-RW discs in ISO9660 Level 1/Level 2, Joliet, and Romeo formats. MP3 files with a bit rate from 8-320 kbps, WMA files with a constant bit rate from 48-320 kbps, and WMA files with a variable bit rate from 48-384 kbps are supported. The unit is compatible with ID3 Tags and will display artist, folder, file, and album name. Up to 8 directories, 99 folders and 999 files per disc are recognized by this unit.

WAV File Playback: The DEH-7300BT offers playback of audio WAV files recorded onto CD-R and CD-RW discs. The head unit supports 8-bit and 16-bit LPCM (Linear PCM) WAV files with a sampling frequency between 16 to 48 kHz.

Name/Track Title List: The Name List feature displays a list of MP3/WMA folders and tracks on a loaded CD or connected USB device, so you can easily access your music. Track Title List will also display the list of track titles on a CD Text disc.

Off Insert/Eject: A CD disc can be inserted or ejected with the power off. When a disc is inserted with the power off, the unit will automatically power up and begin playback.

Auto Off Eject: When you eject a disc, the unit will automatically power off (unless you switch sources before ejecting the disc).

Installation Angle: Optimum CD playback performance is obtained when the unit is installed at an angle of less than 60-degrees.

    USB/iPod/Aux Connectivity

Front-Panel USB Input: The unit's front-panel USB type-A input allows you to connect a USB portable audio player or USB flash memory that is USB Mass Storage Class compliant.  Up to 8 directories, 1500 folders, and 15000 files per USB device are recognized by this unit. The unit is compatible with ID3 Tags and will display artist, folder, file, and album name, plus comments.

    • MP3/WMA Files: MP3 files with a bit rate from 8-320 kbps, WMA files with a constant bit rate from 48-320 kbps, and WMA files with a variable bit rate from 48-384 kbps are supported.
    • WAV Files: 8-bit and 16-bit WAV (LPCM) files with a sampling frequency between 16 to 48 kHz are supported.

Note: USB portable audio players that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the CD receiver's USB port and the vehicle's ignition switch is set to ACC or On.

iPod/iPhone Direct Connection: The Pioneer DEH-7300BT's front-panel USB port can be used to connect your iPod/iPhone to the head unit, via Pioneer's dock connector-to-USB cable (130CDIU50, sold separately) or the dock connector-to-USB cable which comes with your iPod/iPhone. The DEH-7300BT supports audio playback, music navigation, information display, and charging of your compatible iPod/iPhone.

iPod/iPhone Audio Playback: The USB connection allows your iPod/iPhone's stored music to be loaded instantly to the head unit and sound quality to be maximized through the head unit's 24-bit D/A converter, allowing for a Signal to Noise ratio up to 94dB. Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the head unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to revert to the older software version or wait until a newer software update is available.

Auxiliary Input: The DEH-7300BT is equipped with a front panel 3.5mm stereo minijack auxiliary input for connecting external components, such as a portable MP3 player. AUX must be turned on in the setup menu in order to be selected as a source.

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth Technology: The Pioneer DEH-7300BT is equipped with built-in Bluetooth ver. 2.0 (powered by Parrot) allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the Pioneer receiver. Bluetooth Technology is a short-range wireless radio connectivity technology that was developed as a cable replacement for mobile phones and other electronic devices. Bluetooth operates in 2.4 GHz frequency range and transmits voice and data at speeds up to 1 megabit per second. In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles: HFP (Hands Free Profile), OPP (Object Push Profile), GAP (Generic Access Profile), and SDP (Service Discovery Protocol).

Note: The DEH-7300BT does not support Bluetooth Audio Streaming (A2DP/AVRCP).

Phone Pairing: Up to 5 Bluetooth-compatible devices can be registered to this head unit. Only one device can be used at a time.

Note: Not all Bluetooth mobile devices will be compatible. Pleas visit Pioneer's website for a complete list of compatible Bluetooth enabled phones.

Hands-Free Communication: The Pioneer DEH-7300BT supports wireless hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. The head unit will display the caller's information and an audible ring tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker during an incoming call. You can manually answer an incoming call or have the unit automatically answer the call. The DEH-7300BT allows you to carry on a phone conversation from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone using the head unit's external microphone and your car audio speakers. During a conversation you can adjust the volume, as well as switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode. Using the DEH-7300BT, you can dial a phone number in one of the following ways:

    • Speed (Preset) Dialing: You can easily store up to six phone numbers as presets for speed dialing.
    • Phone Book: The phone book in your Bluetooth enabled cellular phone will be transferred automatically when the phone is paired to this unit. After finding the number you want to call in the phone book, you can select the entry and make the call. If a lot of numbers are registered in the phone book, you can search for the phone number by alphabet search mode. This unit can store up to 1,000 entries for up to 5 individual users (each entry can hold up to 5 unique numbers).
    • Call Log: The most recent calls dialed, received, and missed are stored in memory. You can browse them and call numbers from these lists.

External Microphone: During your wireless phone call, you can talk into the head unit's included microphone, and listen to the other party through the vehicle's speaker system. The microphone features a 13' cord that plugs into the back of the radio, and comes with an adjustable visor-mount clip.

    Remote Control

Wireless Remote Control: The DEH-7300BT comes with an IR wireless remote control (CXE3669). The remote allows you to control the volume, switch between sources, pause the CD, change the display, and adjust the audio. The mute button allows you to quickly lower the volume by about 90% (function that cannot be performed from the front panel).

Steering Wheel Remote Compatibility: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input on the rear of the unit to allow you to keep your vehicle's radio steering wheel remote controls when used with the optional PAC SWI-PS Steering Wheel Control Interface Adapter (127SWIPS, sold separately); or the optional Metra ASWC Steering Wheel Control Interface Adapter (120ASWC, sold separately).
