Yes | No 4 out of 5 Great when it works, but there is a fix: Written By Todd, Memphis on Friday, February 13, 2009 Like others have posted, the unit will freeze up. The freeze manifests itself as having no sound from Sirius in my case. The display of channels, artists and songs works, but you get no sound. Mine finally locked up hard and I started searching for any information I could find before investing in a new unit. I found it in the other reviews here. It appears that the power spikes from starting your vehicle can lock the unit up. Usually it will reset the next time you start the vehicle, but occasionally it doesn't. Using the info I found here, I pulled the fuse and reset the unit. It worked after doing that. So, I rewired the power to tap it off the ACC wire. That will help to make sure it resets cleanly when you start the engine. I'm hoping this will permanently cure my problems. 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Written By steve, Lafayette IN on Monday, April 14, 2008 Although I used the front aux input on my Pioneer DEH-P6800 and had great sound from satelitte radio, I got tired of cords getting snagged and just not having a clean look around the dash. So I installed this unit along with the SC-VDOC1 car kit. As the other reviewer stated, this unit can and will freeze up. Mine did the day after installation. Receiver showed the display, but gave no sound. Reconnected power lead of adapter box to a red(switched)power source and have had no more problems. Do wish the Pioneer HU would display artist/song title just like plug&play receivers. Overall, very good product. 3 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. So, my saga begins around 6 years ago when I bought an SIR-PNR1. At first I was thrilled, as I finally had Sirius on my head unit like many other people have said. Then about 2 years ago I bought a new Pioneer head unit DEH-P6900UB which has multi-line display. As you all know, Pioneer does not support this. So that brings me to today. I got on Crutchfield to look specifically for a new model Pioneer Sirius tuner. I was ecstatic when I saw a new one that reportedly transmits multi-line text!! I ordered it immediately. To my dismay, I get the package to find out the SC-C1 is a Sirius product that supports multi-line but the CD-SB10 is a Pioneer product and does not!!! Needless to say, the whole thing is going back. I am going to try to sell my SIR-PNR1 along with my Pioneer head unit and CD changer and will buy another brand of head unit that has full Sirius support. I'm done with Pioneer. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
