Pioneer judge for youself

I have a Pioneer head unit that is less than a year old. I have an i-pod hooked up to it, and it gives me all the information I could want. I also have a Pioneer CD-SB10 and a Sirius SC-C1 hooked up to this radio. It gives you the choice of artist or song, not both or anything else. I called Pioneer, hoping that I could upgrade the CD-SB10 to give me the same amount of information that I get with my i-pod. I was informed by a customer service rep, that they have been associated with XM for a long time and that people with Sirius can live with it or not. Even though this company sells a box to recieve Sirius that gives you nothing and the same company sells an XM box that gives them all of the features. Sirius recomends Kenwood, Alpine, and Sony. I will never buy anything that has the Pioneer name ever again in my lifetime.

This "thing" is not worth the packaging that it came in. I had this connected to the SCC1 Sirius tuner. This unit kept locking up, the sound from Sirius was much lower than any of the other sources, and the sound quality was not that great. If you are looking into Sirius and have a Pioneer head unit, please go with a plug and play. Stay away from this!!!!! I highly recommend the Pioneer 920XM unit. I replaced the Sirius Connect equipment with the 920XM unit and have been satisfied ever since.

Sirius CD-SB10 interface

I have an AVH-P3100DVD and purchased this so I could swap my sirius subscription from my old sportster to my new deck. Here are a few negatives about this unit with my deck
1. It would be nice if the artist name/song title/station were all displayed at once. You can see each of these by pressing the info icon
2. At first this unit did not have sound once my subscription was active....after re-tracing every wire in my install I found that both ends of the BUS cable are the same and can be plugged in "backwards". As soon as I swapped the ends, it worked flawlessly. Perhaps this is the case with some of the other reviewers and why they dont have sound...?
3. Size of the interface box. My laptop is thinner, i have a palm that does MORE, and pioneer is trying to convince me that this is the best that they could do?? It would have been nice to slip a "palm" sized interface underneath the dash...
4. The interface itself. You buy the interface AND still have to buy a sirius tuner just for the antenna? Cmon pioneer, you're killing me...now I have to hide 2 equally large interface units and wiring!!
5. PRICE. A netbook can do 1000+ more things and can be had for @ $250.

Yes you guessed it ,I also have problems with mine locking up. Had to pull the fuse and reset it.
Glad I looked here in the reviews and found the answer.
I can't belive Crutchfield even sells these as bad as they are.
Three months out of warranty, again I say what a joke!
