Pioneer's DEH-2400F features a large display for ease of viewing — the flip-down faceplate protects the CD slot from dust and dirt, and detaches to help prevent theft. The receiver has a rotary volume knob so you can crank up the 4-way high power (20 watts RMS/45 peak) quickly, or ease it back more precisely.

Whether you're listening to the Supertuner III or playing a CD, CD-R, or CD-RW, Easy EQ's 5 preset curves and 3-band adjustability will shape the tone to your liking. Easy EQ lets you save a custom curve for each source, so you won't have to readjust tone settings when you switch from the CD player to the radio. Add an amp to the preamp outputs for even more punch.

Why replace your factory radio?

Two good reasons - sound quality and cool features. A new car stereo offers power that's superior to most factory radios, along with more sophisticated tone controls. And most car stereos offer built-in or optional features that add safety and fun to life in your car, including inputs for your iPod or MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free cell phone calls, satellite radio or HD Radio reception, and connections for building an audio system in your car.

Features

Easy EQ Curves: This model has "SUPER BASS", "POWERFUL", "NATURAL", "VOCAL", "CUSTOM", and "FLAT" preset EQ curves. The "CUSTOM" curve is one that you create and is stored in memory. There's an EQ curve display in the left hand portion of the display that shows the frequency response characteristic of each curve (except the "CUSTOM" curve; the displayed curve does not change with the settings you make to the custom curve).

3-Band EQ: This feature gives you a 3-Band EQ, allowing you to adjust the Low, Mid, and High frequencies. You can adjust each frequency from +6 to -6. Once adjusted, the resulting EQ curve is stored under "CUSTOM".

F.I.E. (Front Image Enhancer): This feature enhances the front image by cutting mid and high range frequencies to the rear speakers, limiting their output to low-range frequencies. You may select a cutoff frequency of 100, 160 or 250Hz.

Adjustable Loudness: You can select "Low", "Mid" or "High" for different levels of loudness compensation.

Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function prevents radical leaps in volume when switching between sources. To use this function, you compare the volume level of the different sources (AM, CD) to the FM level, then you can adjust each source level to match the FM level. Since the reference level is based on the FM volume, SLA is not possible on FM.

CD Insert Auto Turn-on: When the unit is off and a CD is inserted, the unit will automatically turn on and play the CD.

Pause: The CD player has a pause feature.

Tuner: This receiver is equipped with Pioneer's proprietary Supertuner III, which provides excellent AM and FM performance.

Note

Display Illumination/Clock Display: When the Time Display has been turned on, pressing and holding the source button turns off audio output, but the clock display and face/button illumination remain on. When the Time Display has not been turned on, pressing and holding the source button turns the unit off completely. This unit's illumination and clock are "keyed" only when the Time Display has been turned on. When the Time Display has not been turned on, the unit is off, and power is supplied to both power wires, nothing illuminates.
