Can't find your exact car?

The CD-IU200V interface cable lets you connect your iPod to Pioneer's AVH-P4100DVD and other select DVD receivers, so you can access your iPod's audio and video content with the system's touchscreen controls. You'll see information like song and album titles, artist names, and track length — all conveniently displayed on the receiver's screen. Just connect the cable to your iPod, plug it into the receiver, and enjoy. Warranty: 1 year.

Compatibility Note: Be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this iPod adapter.

Why would I need an iPod® adapter?

An iPod adapter allows you to connect your iPod to your car stereo, then access your playlists with your stereo's controls - a great idea for several reasons. One, you can scroll through your song titles on your stereo's larger display, instead of squinting down at your iPod. Two, you can route the adapter cable to your glove compartment or center console, so your iPod stays safely out of sight. Three, the iPod adapter keeps your iPod fully charged, so it's ready to rock when you leave your car. And last of all, some adapters bypass your iPod's internal digital-to-analog converter, using your stereo's superior DAC to turn your files back into music.

Not a Secure Fit (iPhone 4)

Written by: Scotthew from Nevada on May 13, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've only used this with the iPhone 4, but the dock connector doesn't fit quite right so that the spring pins don't engage leaving the connection quite loose. If this was just sitting on my desk at home, who cares? But in the car I'm constantly having to reconnect the cable. Very annoying and probably distracting. Other than that, the the product does just as it says. I can stream music, Pandora, Netflix, GPS and more right to my 7" touch screen. I don't think I was charged for my cable (Crutchfield is awesome), but it is overpriced. There's no reason for any cable to be this much just for a brand name on the box.

Pros: Does What it Claims Pandora & Netflix on My Head Unit is Win

Cons: Cable Constantly Comes Loose / Poor Fit Price

Nice addition to deck!

A little pricey but well worth it. I use it on Pioneer AVH-P4400BH DVD receiver with the iPhone 4s and it works great! If you want to watch content from your iPhone/iPad/iPod, this is how your going to do it. Very simple to hook up. I would recommend the buy and I would buy again without a second thought.

Pros: Charges your iPhone while you are using it! Allows you to watch video content from your devices on the display. Easily tucks into my center console. Has easy to operate side locks to hold your "i" device to the cable so it doesn't get knocked off. Easy to hook up!

Cons: A little pricey BUT well worth it!

Works like a champ. Wires are plenty long enough that you can route and hide them almost anywhere.

Great for Video. Poor for Audio

Written by: Brock from Canada on November 1, 2011

I was very disappointed to find out after a lot of investigation that this cable only allows audio to be output through the 3.5mm mini jack. Pioneer doesn't tell you in their literature and it took a call to one of Crutchfield's excellent techs to determine this fact! They really know their stuff!

The 3.5mm mini jack is great for carrying the video signal but for some strange reason Pioneer chose the left/right audio portion of that 3.5mm jack to send the audio signal to the head unit as well. All new iPods/iPhones have an inferior DAC (digital to analog converter). The older models were much better. Because the audio file (MP3/ACC) transfer is basically the headphone jack output on the iPod, your expensive AVH Pioneer Head Unit doesn't decode the signal using it's very expensive and very high quality DAC. It basically amplifies the awful iPod headphone signal! Music lacks punch, and is lifeless and sterile.

On the bright side, a direct iPod docking cable to the AVH's USB port will give you direct access to your iPod's MP3/ACC music files and it sounds great. Your AVH will still control the iPod and Album Art still shows on the AVH. Only problem is no video files will play.

Pioneer has to go back to the drawing board on this cable too. Why they couldn't have just the video portion go through the 3.5mm mini jack and audio go digital through the USB is a mystery!

Pros: Allows iPhone apps like YouTube and GPS as well as movies to play on Pioneer AVH receivers.

Cons: It plays back your music files though the iPod's awful DAC (digital to analog converter), instead of a direct digital transfer through the USB portion of the cable to your head units much superior DAC!

Must have for my brand new AVH-P4300DVD. U would think it would come with the head unit like my old alpine did but if u want to have all ur options (as far as ipod and iphones go) work with the touchscreen u will want this cable. If u just use the usb that comes with my head unit and a charger wire u wont get video or even audio for some ipods. But this cable allows for alot more ipod and iphone capability all in one wire! Thanks crutchfield!

Pioneer CD-IU200V REVIEW

Written by: David G from Staten Island, NY on March 26, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Pioneer CD-IU200V was a great buy. When it comes to connection cables
you cannot trust other "cheap" aftermarket products. The Pioneer CD IU200V
works with Ipods great, and even works on a computer (when not connected to
stereo unit). It works with a old generation Ipods and new ones as well. II was
a little confused however when it comes to connecting it to
my head unit (I connected it to my Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD in my 2010 Nissan
Altima). The Video jack must connect to the Stereo Head Unit's AUX INPUT
and the USB male and Ipod Pin is what you leave exposed to connect to your
Ipod. Great product very happy with it!

Not those cheap eBay knock offs

Written by: EvansB from Arizona on February 24, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

So before I found this cable on Crutchfeild, I was using the eBay knock brands
that claim they were Original Pioneer cables.... WRONG!

I was not able to view my videos with the other cables.. yes I bought 2
different ones and both were about 30$ each... Do yourself a favor and buy this

Once I installed it my iPod's seem to respond faster and I was able to view my
Videos as well.

This cable has both USB & the Input Mini Jack, Please be aware that the cable to
the USB is a lot shorter than the cable with the Mini-Jack.
Remedy I simply used a USB extender to have this cable reach into my console
box. In the Console I am able to pull out the USB from the CD-IU200V and plug in
my Jump drive to view my USB drive files... Nice!

Good, but bigger than necessary.

Works as advertised, but with my iPhone 3G in a Switcheasy Rebel M case I was
barely able to plug it in with the case on. Now, with my iPhone 4 in the Apple
Bumper case, I have to take the case off the plug this beast of a cable in. I
love Pioneer, but you'd think they could have put a little more thought into the

Works Great with Pioneer Avh-p4100dvd

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This cable is ideal if you have an iPod that plays video as well as just a newer iPod
in general. In addition it charges you iPod or iPhone as well while playing it at the
same time. This cable works with more iPods than it says it is compatible with
including older generations. Overall a great cable and is highly recommended.
