This Pioneer CD-IU201N cable provides a convenient link between your iPhone 4 or 4S and a compatible Pioneer multimedia navigation receiver, as well as Pioneer's AppRadio 3. This USB to 30-pin cable allows you to access and control select iPhone apps through the Pioneer receiver's AppRadio Mode, as well as play and control the music and videos you've stored on your iPhone from the receiver's touchscreen. Warranty: 1 year.
An iPod adapter allows you to connect your iPod to your car stereo, then access your playlists with your stereo's controls - a great idea for several reasons. One, you can scroll through your song titles on your stereo's larger display, instead of squinting down at your iPod. Two, you can route the adapter cable to your glove compartment or center console, so your iPod stays safely out of sight. Three, the iPod adapter keeps your iPod fully charged, so it's ready to rock when you leave your car. And last of all, some adapters bypass your iPod's internal digital-to-analog converter, using your stereo's superior DAC to turn your files back into music.
Simply: is solid and good quality cable with molded connectors electroplated brass contacts can last very long time without even minor evidence of failure.
Pros: Flexible and solid build
Works as advertised
Good quality overall this cable is much more flexable the the one I had.
Pros: Every aspect
A must have no sense in having App Radio without it
Pros: Plenty of cable seems to be well made
Cons: Having a lot of trouble with it staying hooked up its plugged in but not making contact very easily
Love this tool Should be included to maximize use
Pros: Lets me use my phone
Cons: Cost xtra
Works as advertised, I was really disapointed that I had to purchase this product just to add USB to the deck. I don't know why Pioneer is determined to make you spend an extra $50 dollars just so they can promote Apple products. In order to have a USB input I had to get the whole Ipod setup. I don't own an ipod, and I don't ever plan on getting one.
Pros: Works to play my thumb drives
Cons: Had to get the Ipod setup just to play a thumb drive. Not everyone owns Apple products, so why force them to spend extra money for useless products?
This product allowed my iPod Touch to connect with my Pioneer head unit with no problems at all. It is plug and play. You can change the albums, songs, artist, etc from the screen of the head unit. iPod Touch is out of sight, out of mind.
no issues here, simple plug and play for these cables
Pros: easy install
Works great Gives easy access to your compatible apple products right trough the radio.
Pros: Easy to install and use.
Pros: Easy to install and use
Great product and easy way to connect an IPhone/IPod touch to pioneer avic-z150.
Pros: The connection is fast, Smoot, and convinient.
Cons: The two pins on the adapter seems to get stuck on my iPhone port.
Gives easy access to your compatible apple products right trough the radio. Easy to install and use plus it also charges the item connected.
Pros: Cable is long
Cons: No cons from me! I love it!

If you want to use the app functionality you do have to buy the cable. I did this with an iPhone 4s and it is worth it for the added capability. [ BRIAN May 21, 2014 ]
No it will not. Even if you use the apple approved 30 pin to lightning adapter, all you can do is charge your phone and use it in Bluetooth. I tried that one myself when I went from a 4S to a 5S. Yes it kind of sucks to have to buy another lightning cable and digital video adapter and an hdmi cable, but in the long run you'll be happy you did it. Cost me 30 bucks for the adapter, 6 bucks for the lightning cable, and 3 bucks for an hdmi cable. I talked to a pioneer rep and he informed me that the apps are run through the phone and the video out is what displays the apps on the radio. Audio is strictly Bluetooth. Save yourself some dough and don't buy the pioneer kit, just plug the lightning cable in to your USB port on the radio. [ CHRIS May 21, 2014 ]
This will work with your iPhone 5s. You just have to get the 30 pin to lightning conversion cable. I have a iPhone 5s and that is what I did and it works. [ FREDERICK May 21, 2014 ]
It works with a lightning connector...U should be fine... [ Eric May 21, 2014 ]
No, the 5s requires the USB adapter. This is only for 4 and 4s, or iPods. [ JEREMIAH May 21, 2014 ]
