Features

Display/Button Illumination: All display indicators and readouts are displayed with light green illumination. The buttons are backlit with light green illumination.

Bass, Treble and BTB: This model allows you to adjust the bass +/-12dB at 100Hz and the treble +/-12dB at 10kHz. In addition to standard treble and bass settings, this model also has 5 stored BTB (Bass Treble Boost) settings: Dynamic, Power, Max, Custom and Flat. Custom is an adjusted BTB setting that you create. When Flat is selected, no supplement or correction is made to the sound.

Selectable Loudness: You can select a Low or High level of loudness compensation. The Low setting provides a 7dB gain at 100Hz and 4dB gain at 10kHz. The High setting provides a 10dB gain at 100Hz and 6.5dB gain at 10kHz.

Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function prevents radical leaps in volume when switching between sources. To use this function, you compare the volume level of the sources (AM, Tape/CD changer) to the FM level, then you adjust the source level to match that heard when listening to FM. Since the reference level is based on the FM volume, SLA is not possible on FM.

Tuner: This unit is equipped with Pioneer's Supertuner, which provides outstanding AM and FM performance.

Best Stations Memory: BSM lets you automatically store the strongest 6 stations for AM and each of the three FM bands. The stations are stored under preset buttons 1-6.

Radio Intercept: The last station tuned in will play while the tape deck is in fast forward or rewind mode. This feature may be turned on or off.

Cassette Insert Auto Turn-On: When the unit is off and receiving power on both power leads, inserting a tape will automatically turn the unit on and begin playback.

Auto Reverse: The Pioneer KEH-P203 offers Auto Reverse which allows the player to play a cassette in the other direction once it gets to the end on one side.

There is no easy way to play a cd off this unit. It is a modern version of a 70s am fm cassette deck. I am using it in a 70s vehicle. You can buy a separate cd changer that mounts under the seat and play them thru the aux inputs on this machine, but you would probably be better off buying a cd deck. Unless, you want the flexibility of playing cds and cassettes, then , just buy a separate cd changer.

My sony cd player plugs into the antenna port and the antenna plugs into a box provided with the cd player. Harry

You would have to use a CD to cassette adapter with a portable CD player. Google it - you'll find many sources.

I added a FM modulator to the radio. It has an auxiliary input and connects between your antenna and radio. When you turn it on and tune your radio to a specific fm frequency. You aux input signal, CD player, MP3 player, etc. plays through your radio.

They used to make a device that had a "cassette" that fit into this system, and a small wire went to a .portable CD player. I saw one a while back, but I don't remember where.

Jim, I don't have the manual in front of me as it is in my camper 35 miles away closed up for the winter. I believe the following will help. On the left side of the receiver are 4 buttons arranged in a circle. Press and hold the top button and this will put you in the clock mode. I'm not sure about the rest but I'm sure you can figure it out from there. Earl B
