All is Good when you have PIONEER!

I've had Pioneer in all my cars until recently. I aquired a Sony Explode head unit, intalled it & hated it with a passion! I immediately pulled & sold it to buy my DEH-P3100UB. All is good again.
Pioneer has always had a powerful sound that blows away all other radios in this price range; The 3100ub is no exception. AWESOME sound w/ endless sound tuning possibilities. You can't beat the features as well.
After a quick scan of the owners manual... I truely appreciate the "Multi-Control" stick. This head unit has a very clean face plate without all the clutter & buttons. My only complaint is the antiquated lcd display.

Great Tuner

Replaced a Blaupunkt receiver. Day and Night difference. Very clear sound. Love that I can finally listen to my Ipod. Would have given it 5 stars, but changing the settings and customizing sound is a bit of a challenge. Had my 13 y/o set it up for me.

Pioneer DEH-P3100UB

Overall very pleased. Wish the wiring harness was a few inches longer. I had to splice them to get enough length to reach. Other than that, installation and startup went well. Very pleased with the sound quality and tuner reception strength.

great receiver, great sound. Horrible functionality. The main knob is tiny, made for small people with tiny fingers. You need to turn the knob 5 times to raise the volume. I miss the factory unit. Using the AUX port and using the ipod itself is way easier than trying to use the confusing system pioneer set up with usb port. I bought this thing, used it for three days and its for sale. There is no way I'm going to fight thru the controls to get the command i need while driving. I advise trying out the stuff locally and coming to crutchfield for the purchase cause the prices here are better, the service is great and the shipping is fast.

Love Pioneer

Very good receiver. I love the joystick controls which is an improvement to the previous
Pioneer I had with small buttons. I got the new unit primarily for my IPod Itouch. I love the
radio channels levels 1 through 4 , which searches for the strongest signals for you. It is
better to have that then to have to search manually , it is the Pioneer's version for scan
button. I used to own the OEL display and am glad this unit does not have it. I really like
the LCD instead.
