Can't find your exact car?

You jump in your ride and turn on your favorite song — you're straining to hear the snare drum, but it's still just barely audible. And that dull, fuzzy-sounding bass guitar is just about breaking your heart. Pioneer TS-A Series speakers bring your music back into focus with precise reproduction of instruments and vocals, so all those details you love will really pop.

Pioneer's TS-A1304C component system includes 5-1/4" woofers with stiff carbon-graphite polypropylene cones that ensure clarity in your music's vocals and percussion. Highly elastic polymer surrounds help keep cone movement under control, for smooth, crisp midrange and tight bass. The separate soft dome tweeters deliver warm, dimensional treble, so you'll hear all the overtones that give your music ambiance.

The in-line crossovers direct the high frequencies to the tweeters and low frequencies to the woofers, so your music sounds natural, just as the artist intended. Aim the tweeters towards your ears to give your music a strong live image.

Product Highlights:

  • component speaker system includes 2 woofers, 2 tweeters, and 2 woofer grilles
  • 5-1/4" carbon-graphite polypropylene woofer cone with elastic polymer surround
  • 3/4" polyester fiber dome tweeter

  • frequency response: 28-29,000 Hz
  • sensitivity: 89 dB

Why install component speakers?

A component speaker system gives you the best possible performance from your car audio system. A system consists of separate woofers, tweeters, and crossovers, each designed to cover one specific range of frequencies. As separate components, the woofer can move freely to deliver more powerful performance, while the tweeter can be custom-mounted in a better spot up closer to your ears, revealing a whole new world of detail. Separate crossovers are far superior to the simple filters wired into full-range speakers, so the components work together for smoother, more focused sound.

Not the right size

Written by: Jerry from Los Angeles,CA on September 21, 2012

I tried installing these speakers to my 1994 GMC Safari and according to crutchfield this should fit to the dash, little did I know is that the correct size is 6 3/4". I kept the tweeters in which performs really well and clear. I mostly listen to Metallica and other rock bands in which sound more clear and can hear the drums, guitars, and vocals better but no bass.

Pros: Clear performance

Cons: Can't get much bass

2000 Dodge Durango
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The speakers themselves sound very good, especially considering they're relatively cheap. If you're looking for quality sound with a fair amount of bass kick, I would recommend these speakers.

Pros: Sound great. Relatively inexpensive.

2005 Ford F-150
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installed in the front doors of an 2005 F 150 Super Crew. The fit was as if factory and took 40 minutes. The sound is much clearer than the orginal speaker and saved me money over fabricating my own system.

Pros: Clean factory like install

Cons: None

2004 Toyota 4Runner
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced the rear factory door speakers in a 2004 4Runner. I had to cut in the tweeters which was very easy. The sound quality is great. I really like having tweeters in the front and back seats. Of course a new Pioneer stereo did not hurt either. Door removal instructions provided by Crutchfield saves a lot of guess work.

2004 Toyota Corolla
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got these speakers for my 2004 Toyota Corolla to replace the OEM set.

All I can say is that these are sooooo much better. I can actually hear that I have tweeters now (the OEM set had twitters too but could never hear them work).

I also have a Kicker sub which compliments these speakers very nicely.

good speakers but if you want the tweeter you will need to cut and solder on the wiring harness to the factory plug

Great if you're looking for clarity!

Written by: AZ_Fonzy from Nogales, AZ on May 26, 2011

I bought this item to replace my stock speakers on a 2006 Nissan Altima, Not bad at all. The sound is crisper and more clear. I have them connected directly to my Pioneer Deck, but it can use a little bit more boost. I would Recommend to wire them to a small amp. The only reason I didn't rate these speakers a perfect five is because the mid's and the bass are not the best feature for this product. If you want the whole package sound I would highly recommend to spend a few more bucks for your bang. But if clarity is all you're looking for this are the speakers your wanna buy....

2000 Jeep Cherokee
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got those speakers for my 2001 jeep Cherokee, direct fit vs, the original 5.25''. Amazing sound definition and mid bass response, I ran them on the standard factory infinity amp with a sony 690 UI head unit and infinity reference 5.25'' for the back.

I recommend using the baffles but cut their base so they are basically a tube, improves sound quality a lot for the front door.

Excellent wiring harness and adapters from Crutchfield.
