Features Woofers: Each speaker features an interlaced Aramid fiber-reinforced IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) cone woofer. With long Aramid fibers interlacing together inside, this IMPP cone design provides the strength and rigidity powerful bass sound requires. The high-density, compressed internal architecture is resilient, stacks up against high power and transfers sound very quickly. The result is full-bodied, rich sound. Midranges: Each speaker uses a 1-5/8" Foamed Pearl PolyCarbon (PPC) balanced dome midrange with magnetic fluid and a strontium magnet. PPC is a lightweight material that delivers high sensitivity, open sound character and smooth extended frequency response. Its high inner loss reduces distortion. It's blended with special carbon fiber for UV resistance and protection against the harsh environment of a car. Tweeters: Each speaker uses a 5/8" PET silver film dome tweeter and a 3/8" PET silver film supertweeter for crisp, clear highs. Surrounds: For durability and a smoother response, this speaker uses a butyl rubber surround. Well worth it for the 4-ways. Sounds across the spectrum is very distinct.Once word for both speakers though...Dynamat. It will make a night and day difference in tightness of sound in a truck. You need it. I included the xtreme speaker kit for both front and back and I'm glad I did. The difference in SQ with and without the Dynamat (thought I might get away without it in the fronts) is amazing. I could amp these easily however the head unit's 20w RMS is very loud and defined up to 80%. Perfect combo where you could get away everyday without a sub/amp. 4 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Im about to hook up an Alpine MRP-F240 to them, hopefully to louden them up since my ancient Kenwood HU is really weak. Good easy replacements for stock. 2 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great Speakers! Written By Mark, Jackson, MS on Wednesday, October 05, 2005 I purchased these speakers to replace the stock front speakers in my 03 F150 SuperCrew. I am very pleased. I would like a little more bass, but I think I will have to add a sub to get what I'm looking for. In general, this is a great speaker for the price! 4 out of 5 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Panasonic head unit(4x25RMS) with a built in 7 band eq and the recievers crossover set at 90hz these speakers pour out smooth mids and crisp highs. (Two 10" subs take care of the base) The reciever does an excellent job of pushing these speakers and I couldnt be happier with them. 5 out of 6 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Pioneer's TS-A6880R are just that. I run a Kenwood EZ 500 for my deck and purchased two pairs of these speakers to replace the stock ones that came with my 03 Ranger. The installation went smoothly except the screws they sent me were too long and would have punctured the grill. I bought some spacers and everything dropped in perfectly after that. After listening to several generas of music I found that these hit the lows without distorting the highs and the mids come out well too. If you want value and quality go with a pair of the TS-A6880R's speakers. 12 out of 13 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
