The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience. Haven't listened to much music in your car recently? Maybe your factory speakers are on their last legs. Pioneer's A-Series speakers deliver great-sounding music on the road you may find yourself relaxing in your car rather than your living room after you hear these speakers in action. The TS-A6962R 6"x9" speakers feature polypropylene woofers reinforced with Aramid fibers so they'll handle the stress of high-volume playback. Butyl rubber surrounds stand up to the wear and tear, so the bass stays tight and clear for years to come. Cone midrange drivers add vibrance and clarity to the vocals and instrumentals. You'll hear everything from the stroke of the violin to the chimes of the percussion as soft dome tweeters disperse sparkling highs. Install a pair of TS-A6962R speakers in your car and impress your friends with concert-quality tunes. Features Woofers: Each speaker features carbon graphite IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) cone woofers interlaced with long Aramid fibers. This IMPP cone design provides the strength and rigidity powerful bass sound requires. The high-density, compressed internal architecture is resilient, stacks up against high power and transfers sound very quickly. The result is full-bodied, rich sound. Surrounds: For durability and a smoother response, each woofer uses a butyl rubber surround. Midranges: Each speaker has a 2-1/4" PET silver film cone midrange for fast, accurate response with low distortion. The midrange has a 1.3 ounce strontium magnet. Tweeters: Each speaker uses a 5/8" PET silver film dome tweeter for crisp, clear highs. Product Reviews Review this product Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences about this product. The speakers are being driven by an MDX70 Dual deck. Other speakers in the van are Two infinity 4X6 in the dash and one BTA6100 bazooka sub. The Pioneers really do fill in the mid range for me. Outstanding sound all the way arround for all types of music from rock to Jazz. Many thanks to the gang at Crutchfied for the technical support and speaker recomendations !!! I replaced the speakers in my wifes 2000 Accord Coupe (also did the door spearkers ) and it sounds worlds better than before. Enough bass to make the windows rattle and it gets plenty loud. I have an Alpine 9487 deck which works perfectly with these speakers. 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Also the factory rear deck speaker covers that you are told you can reuse is true but it takes some really good enginering to get them to go back on. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great speakers for a moderate price Written By kerry, Riverton, Utah on Friday, July 18, 2008 My rear deck speakers in my wifes 1997 Camry were broken, so I thought I'd take a chance on these, as their specs looked good and my jvc hd head unit with surround sound needed four speakers to really show its stuff. These sound as good as I've heard in a car and I don't need to add a sub woofer as these go low enough for me and my wife. Toyota speakers are fairly good quality, but these put the old toyota speakers to shame. It feels like I'm in the middle of the music, much like you feel in a movie theater. You can crank these up without distortion (at least as much as I can tolerate without ear damage) and I hear more of the music than I did with the old speakers. I highly recommend these. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great speaker at a Great Price Written By Drummin4Him, Middletown, PA on Thursday, July 17, 2008 I bought these speakers to replace the factory one in my son's 2002 Cavalier. When we bought the car one of the speakers was not working. I knew even with the factory receiver, replacing the rear speakers would be a great way to cheaply upgrade the sound system. And it was! The bass is clean and enough to rattle the car. I can't speak for other cars, but when I removed the old speakers and sat them beside these Pioneer speakers it actually made me laugh. The factory 6 X 9s were paper and the magnet was about 1/4 the size of these Pioneers. Following the included step by step instructions made installing these speakers a breeze. My son's car stereo system was literally transformed for less than $100.00. Another Crutchfield success story! 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Ran em today for about 2 hours straight and the speakers did not distort once even under high volume. If you are looking for a good all around speaker for a decent price these will fit the bill. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great speaker and bass. Written By , Minnesota on Sunday, June 15, 2008 The speakers sound great for only $80. I get enough bass to rattle the rear view mirror, and to give the back passengers a nice massage. Obviously its not the same bass as 300 watt subs, but if your short on money and want just nice sounding music with a bit of a kick. These speakers will do it. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Installation was very easy. The low end response from these things is great! Its almost like a little sub! The high frequency range is a bit fake sounding, but I mainly want bass out of the rear deck speakers. I get my good high end response from the speakers in the dash (Alpine SPS-800). I use a Pioneer DEH-1800 receiver. 3 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
