About the Pioneer TS-D1330C

Alexander H.

Speakers for the discerning ear

Pioneer puts their passion to work with their latest D-Series speakers. They crafted the TS-D1330 component speaker system with an intention toward more open and smooth sound, so you'll hear all the distinctive details from the recording process that an artist wanted you to hear. Listening to music on these Pioneer components will give you the unmatched and thrilling feeling that you are there.

All the right parts

Let's start with the 5-1/4" woofers. Pioneer uses an aramid fiber cone woven with Twaron® cloth, materials that are recognized for their light weight, durability, sensitivity, and heat resistance. Combined with a rubber surround and a bullet phase plug, the TS-D1330 woofer is incredibly responsive with excellent damping ability and heightened sound dispersion. What does all of that mean for you? Accurate, natural-sounding performance, fit for a long life in your car.

Pioneer reinforces the open sound by using a 7/8" fabric dome tweeter equipped with a larger rear chamber and a rounded flange. This gives you an extended high range and better dispersion, so that no matter where you sit in the car, you're not missing a thing. Thanks to a shallow mounting depth and included adapter rings, you'll be in better shape to mount these tweeters where you want to, instead of where you have to. Included external crossover systems feature a selectable tweeter level switch so that you can more closely match the output of the tweeter to the woofer.

Installation note: You'll need a pair of our universal backstraps to install the tweeters in the factory locations.

Q
Can I power these at 50-55 watts rms with a 4 channel amp?

A
These speakers are rated for up to 35 watts RMS so, you can connect them to an amp that offers more wattage provided you set the gains correctly: http://www.crutchfield.com/learn/setting-amplifier-gain.html?search=gain I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5

Q
Can I power these speakers with a 40 rms head unit or will it destroy them?
daniel  Jan 23, 2016

A
Very few aftermarket stereos will offer that much RMS power per channel, but if you have one, you will need to be careful with the volume, yes. I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5

Q
who are your professional installers and what is their cost?

A
We do not employ or make recommendations for any installers. We sell InstallCards that will link you up with professional installers. Check our website here: http://www.crutchfield.com/shopsearch/install_card.html . This will show you the different types of installations and their cost. In the "How does it work" section you would enter your zip code to see the distance of the nearest installer. They will warranty the labor of your installation for the life of your vehicle. Hope that helps.
