WOW! What an upgrade from the OEM speakers of my 1998 Buick Riviera. The sounds are now as good as the car looks. Installation was a snap, perfect fit. Left the original tweeter in place, but cut the wire since no longer needed with these 2-way speakers.

Huge difference

Written by: BradJ from Montgomery, AL on September 27, 2011

Although crutchfield says they will not fit my car (2006 Subaru Forester), I was able to install them by drilling new holes. Wow I am so happy with my purchase. These speakers are worth every penny. Some people say these do not have bass, it's definitely enough bass for me for the type of music I play. Not sure if they has anything to do with the type of aftermarket head unit I have or not. Get these speakers.

Clean but no Bass

1999 Jeep Cherokee
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The speakers have some crisp highs and mids, but lack bass. My OEM Jeep speaks had more bass, but then again they were a bit larger. Its ok, as I will be adding a sub. For the XJ you can probably go with a larger speaker in front, I had to use some washers because the speaker mounting tabs were too small to reach both posts, I also drilled another hole for a third tab. They do fit in the rear sound bar of an XJ, but again they are a bit smaller, can probably go bigger.

Very Satisfied with speakers and Crutchfield

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers do lack bass. I considered that my old stock 98 OEM Jeep speakers were just muddy sounding but that's not it. The speakers sound very crisp and can tale volume from my budget Clarion. Install was way easy so do it your self. I don't mind the bass absence because I don't need it for my listening the majority of which is audiobooks. For the price point these are better than a good buy.

mouse ate my speakers

After finding mice ate the speakers in my 1998 FLHT Harley-Davidson this winter I replaced them with the Pioneer 5 1/4 TS-G1343-R . They are a direct fit and made a great upgrade to the system. I hope to add a Sirius/XM receiver now that the speakers sound great

1995 Honda Accord DX
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these speakers to drop in my 1995 Honda Accord to replace the fronts. I was also replacing the head-unit with a Kenwood KDC-MP342U. The old Honda OEM front door speakers could probably handle 6.25" but I just wanted to slap these in. I was going for low cost with decent sound. They accomplish what I needed and can handle it when I turn it up loud. Overall, I'm very happy.

2000 Saturn LS2
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers sound good. Nice highs, mids, and lows. For my vehicle (2000 Saturn LS2) I did not need brackets for it. I screwed them directly into the doorframe.

1990 Mazda Miata
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great improvement over factory speakers in my Miata which were 20 years old. The speakers produce a clean neutral sound, if a little bit shy on the high end. Overall a good value.

2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Front driver's door speaker went out in my Silverado. These fit well. The sound is better than the factory speakers, but nothing too awsome. Included adapters for monting and wiring make installation very quick and easy. Crutchfield standard delivery had them at my door the next day.

Great SQ!

I bought 2 of these to replace the factory door speakers in my 93' F-150, and they sound great! Great sound quality even on the radio. I am getting a new head unit, and they will sound even better. If you want good speakers for an affordable price, these are your best bet.
