It's true these are great speakers, especially for the money. I have them in my '91 probe. I got mine brand new a couple weeks ago. They sound great by the way. :)

these fit perfect in my 2000 cavalier coupe, however, if you want decent bass you better get a few subs in the trunk. i already had plans to add subs in so i'm not worried about that.

These speakers replaced the stock ones in my 1994 Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab, and what a difference! They sound great. While they may not be heavy on the bass, since 4x6 speakers are relatively small, they still sound great. Much better clarity and definition than the worn out, muffled 14 year old speakers. Would recommend, much better sound than the stock speakers. One word of caution: If replacing the rear pillar speakers on the truck is a goal, prepare for a long and tedious project, the speakers are almost impossible to get at as they are behind a large panel that is held in place by numerous clips as well as other panels. Other than that, these speakers are great.

Good upgrade from factory , better quality and sound than factory for the cost it's not a bad changeover .
so it's up to you what your lookin for in sound ,
whatever you want go for it ,.

I guess for the money they are a step up from factory, however, if you're looking for bigger gains replace the stereo and get better speakers.

I installed a pair of the Pioneer TS-G4641R 4"x6" in the rear of my 2000 Chevy Stepside Silverado single cab about 6 weeks ago. It was an impovement from the original factory speakers but they are still 4"x6", so I really did not expect much. The Pioneer speakers handle power better. The Crutchfield connectors are very simple. I used Alpine SPS-17C2 6-1/2" in the doors, and a Bazooka amplified bass tube behind the seat. It all sounds great !

I bought these to replace stock speakers in my Isuzu Rodeo. Unfortunately my Rodeo has only 4x6 size capabilities for the rear without modifying the truck or adding a box. I was very disappointed with the sound I got out of these. Granted at 50 bucks they're not the most expensive speakers out there but I figured at least to hear some improvement. I think barely an improvement is being generous. I even installed one at a time and played with the balance with all kinds of music to try to detect any improvement. Maybe its because these and most 4x6 speakers are typically used as fronts and these are for used for rears in my truck.
My stock speaker did not have a raised tweeter like you have in this 2 ways speaker so surprisingly the stock speakers produced more base. I should mention I am using it with a Kenwood EZ 700R deck. So in conclusion buck up for a better set.

Just upgraded the factory speakers in my 1994 S-10 Blazer...what a difference! I am very pleased with the sound for only $50...and I am still using the factory radio & I don't plan to upgrade it either. The speakers aren't going to blow you away, but def much better than the factory speakers that were 13 years old.

I replaced my 16 year old factory dash speakers with these. What an improvement. The highs are crisp and clean. Midrange presence is way better than the factory speakers There's even a little bit of bass, more than I expected from a 4x6 speaker. For my application it was necessary to install some plastic flanges (provided with the speakers) before they would fit. This requires dealing with some tiny screws and nuts and adds an extra 10 minutes or so of install time. The flanges could be better designed. That's my only complaint. The sound is great, they fit perfectly in place of the factory speakers in my 1990 Chevy truck, the price is very reasonable, and Crutchfield service was outstanding as always.

I replaced the factory 4x6's in my 91 s-10 with these pioneer 4x6's and it makes a huge difference in the sound quality. just one of these speakers alone sounds better than my entire factory system. for their size they pump a fair amount of bass, and produce excellent mids and highs.
Crutchfield gave me very simple instructions for installing them, and they went in well. you can't go wrong with these speakers for the money.
