Pioneer Stage 4 PRS Midrange Component Speakers

Each TS-S062PRS 2-5/8" speaker features a cone made from hard Aramid fibers and cellulose pulp that gives your music a mellow feel while still handling sharp attacks with clean fidelity. A rubber surround holds its shape even when the speaker's driven hard, so you'll enjoy impressive midrange accuracy that'll make the vocal and instrumental details sound out. An aluminum center plug improves sound dispersion and dissipates heat for a longer life.

Pioneer Stage 4 PRS Midrange Component Speakers

Pioneer PRS Series component speaker systems deliver superb sound with a wide open soundstage, so you'll hear your music faithfully reproduced and in perfect balance throughout your car's interior. Pioneer designed these midrange component speakers as part of their Stage 4 System, along with the DEX-P99RS receiver, PRS Series amplifiers, PRS component speaker systems, and the TS-W252PRS subwoofer, to deliver uncompromised sound quality in your vehicle.

Two-layer cones for clear and mellow vocals

Each TS-S062PRS 2-5/8" speaker features a cone made from hard Aramid fibers and cellulose pulp that gives your music a mellow feel while still handling sharp attacks with clean fidelity. A rubber surround holds its shape even when the speaker's driven hard, so you'll enjoy impressive midrange accuracy that'll make the vocal and instrumental details sound out. An aluminum center plug improves sound dispersion and dissipates heat for a longer life.

Back chamber improves power handling and tightens the sound

Each TS-S062PRS comes with a sealed "chamber" that you can fit onto the back of the speaker to acoustically suspend the cone, which increases power-handling ability and improves the speaker's transition from your music's low notes to the midrange.

How these speakers fit in your Stage 4 system

The DEX-P99RS Stage 4 receiver boasts 4 sets of preamp outputs for highs, mids, lows, and subs, allowing you to add these TS-S062PRS midrange speakers to a PRS component system, then use PRS Series amps to drive each component separately. You'll enjoy a powerful stereo image and superb sound quality.

There is a member on diymobileaudio that has use these in that exact location. And from what I remember they fit the best out of 3 simar size midrange drivers.

Yes. Fits without the cup no modification or you can bore out the hole a bit to fit the speaker with the cup which I did. Hard to screw it down though.Good luck.

Do a search on DIYMA using the above title (2014 Chevrolet...). I tried posting a link but Crutchfield won't allow it.

I can't answer your question directly regarding the Silverado, but if your mids and tweets are currently directed towards the windshield as most vehicles are that have speakers in the dash, I would not recommend putting any aftermarket speaker in those locations. The windshield is a nasty source of sound reflections, and sound directed at it typically causes image smearing and frequency issues. These speakers, as well as any others, would do much better facing away from the windshield and pointed more on-axis with the listener. As far as these particular speakers are concerned, I do have them and they do sound good.

I have no real experience with that application but I know for a fact that it has been done. Crutchfield won't allow me to post a direct link but if you web search... 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 LT (Non-Bose, No Center Console) It should get you some great info/reading for your project Good luck!
