Features

Tweeter Materials: The tweeter has a PPTA dome diaphragm, and it's fluid-cooled for high power handling. PPTA is a poly material that's among the lightest and most responsive speaker materials developed. PPTA has high inner loss characteristics, which results in effective resonance damping. This material provides performance similar to metal diaphragm materials, but without the harshness often associated with metal diaphragms. The result is detailed, dynamic sound reproduction.

Metal Grilles: Each tweeter has a non-removable metal mesh grille attached.

Two Mounting Options: The tweeters may be surface or flush mounted. The tweeters do not swivel when flush or surface mounted.

Tweeter Mounting Dimensions:

  Surface Mount Flush Mount
Mounting Height 0.840" 0.419"
Depth 0" (with adhesive)
0.1875" (screw depth)
0.921"
Base/Ring Diameter 1.88" 2.267"
Cutout N/A 2.007

Crossover Specification: The 7 kHz in-line high-pass crossover capacitors have a slope of 6dB/octave.

Great replacement tweeters

Written By Oscar, Dublin,ca on Monday, February 13, 2012

I used these pair of tweeters to replace the factory tweeters on a Honda Odyssey (2007). The minivan's tweeters are located on the dash and they come off very easily. I did not have to cut any holes or do anything special to the van, the new tweeters came with a base that was the correct size for the minivan's tweeter holes, I just snapped them in. They work great and are far superior to the cheap factory tweeters.

comes with
Pros:
Right size, very inexpensive and provide a much superior sound than the factory speakers.
Cons:
There are no adapters to be able to use the factory speaker plug, so I had to cut the factory wires and cable the tweeters cables together by using a wire nut connector.. A minor inconvenience.

GREAT upgrade!

Written By BrianM, Frisco, TX on Tuesday, July 26, 2011

I upgraded the stock tweeters (2" paper cones) in my 2010 Frontier with these and WOW what a difference! The sound stage really opened up. These are a little harsh and "crunchy", but I like to hear the high notes anyway. For the money, these are a great upgrade over the stock speakers! I would buy them again if I needed to!

Pioneer TS-T110

Written By Don H., Columbia SC on Friday, April 15, 2011

Great assistance from your advisors regarding the tweeters to put the doors of
my 2005 4Runner. These speakers aren't harsh and are much clearer than
the factory JBL speakers. Excellent sound and range for a tweeter. BTW, I
have replaced all door speakers with Pioneers. A great combination-Pioneer
and Crutchfield!

Pioneer TS-T110

Written By augie, brooklyn,ny on Thursday, February 10, 2011

great sound..after removing the old tweeter and using a dremel tool to allow for surface
mounting of the new tweeter,i was on my way..used the plastic recess cup to make a
washer to hold the tweeter in place.also removed the plug from the old tweeter and
soldered it to the wires of the new tweeter to make a quick connection..spent a cold
afternoon thinking and prepairing and about 5 minutes to install very happy with the
outcome..looks like it belongs there

Noticeable Sound Difference

Written By Dallin, Utah on Tuesday, January 11, 2011

These tweeters are a no brainer to purchase. You can instantly tell a difference in your high's. It makes your systems set up sound that much better. They can go pretty loud too! I'm a high schooler so I'm always blasting music. Very good product, especially for the price.

Awesome and Inexpensive!

Written By MoonLeyet, Hollywood on Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Who says you need to spend that extra buck for external crossovers. These inline crossover tweeters are a perfect match for any 2way or 3way front door speaker. I was afraid at first that these tweeters would be loud and harsh, like some higher end component set tweeters i've bought in the past, but these tweeters do not bleed the ears and they do not sizzle with distortion... just CLEAN imaging.

Crutchfield advisors were swift in recommending these and I was swift in purchasing them. Awesome!!

System: Pioneer DEH3200; Pioneer 6x9 3way in rear, Pioneer 6 1/2 3way in front doors.
