Pioneer's TS-W252R 10" subwoofer offers reliable bass performance with an injection-molded polypropylene cone that provides strength for distortion-free definition without unnecessary added weight. The wide-roll, dual-layer urethane surround keeps the cone under control for thumping output that sounds great in sealed or ported enclosures. The best news — you won't have to dig deep into your wallet to add big bass in your vehicle.

The TS-W252R sports a clean, fresh look, accented by a redesigned magnet cover. Spring compression terminals provide for simple, secure wiring connection. The four-layer voice coil augments the sub's power-handling capability, while interior venting keeps the heart of the sub cool and moving in sync for added reliability and long performance life.

What's a component sub and why would I want one?

A component sub is simply a speaker that's designed to reproduce bass once it's installed in a compatible enclosure. Think about the impact of a movie soundtrack in a big theater or even in your own home HDTV setup. A component sub can add the same kind of power to the music in your car. And a car sub is not all about the boom that you hear on a street corner (although that's cool too) - you can pair a component sub with your choice of enclosure to get bass just the way you like it, from tight and punchy to fat and loose. And once you experience music in your car with a well-tuned subwoofer, you'll never go back.

I bought these subs. I have them hooked up to a 800watt 4 channel amp and they sound great. They have the ability to hit hard with a lot of power or they can add the smooth lows that you may be missing with traditional speakers. These are the best subs that I have had and have also been the cheepest. Great subs for the money.

Best Audio Investment Ever

I bought 2 of these and put them in a hand-made custom, sealed box
(1.2.ft.) The box is in the back of a dodge magnum ( a big space to lose a lot
of sound) and they still slam! They are running off a Pioneer 750watt 2ch.
amp, and they shake the mirrors, the headliner etc... Sounds like a set of
real nice 15's! Recommend these to anyone / everyone!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great speaker for the money. I would highly recommend it. Used in a homemade box in a Dodge Ram Quad Cab under rear seat. Tons of bass.
I just wish I had shopped around a little.

Pretty good

I have two of these running in a sealed box off an okay amp. They hit pretty hard for the price. I haven't encountered any problems with them so far. If your looking for okay bass at an affordable cost, this is your setup. Go for 12's if you want better bass though.

BANG for the buck

I bought one of these for my saturn Ion and I was worried it wouldnt be enough but man was I wrong! This thing really shakes my mirrors. My friend has a 12'' Kenwood and although it hits a little harder, It almost seems like it cant keep up with really fast beats, like techno and trance. Im running it off a $50 amp, and it still sounds awesome! Eventually Im gonna get a new amp, and if I can find another one that matches(I got the blue one) Ill be runnin 2!

Voice Coil: The woofer's 4-layer long voice coil design allows expanded piston motion for better linearity, improved power handling, and more bass impact.
