Champion Series Pro subwoofers from Pioneer combine big-time power handling with rugged construction for competition-worthy bass that hits hard. They'll sound great in smaller sealed enclosures thanks to the unique Air Suspension System — it provides a spring-like effect to maintain clear, high-impact bass.
Pioneer's Air Suspension System features a dual-cone structure — a main cone and surround at the top connected to an internal drive cone and surround beneath. This unique suspension system uses the air trapped in between to propel the main cone with outstanding accuracy and low distortion. The injection-molded polypropylene cones are reinforced with basalt and carbon fiber for outstanding strength and quick response, while the wide-roll, three-layer surrounds keep the cones on track and hitting hard during deep excursion.
Heavy-duty motor structure
A double-stacked 88-ounce magnet powers the motor structure in this competition-quality sub. A rugged die-cast aluminum basket anchors the sub, providing superior damping and increased magnetic efficiency for peak performance.
Serious power handling
The TS-W2502D4 10" sub handles 800 watts RMS for thunderously thumping low end. The dual 4-ohm voice coils allow you to set up a high-powered system with a compatible low-impedance amp. You can wire the sub for 2- or 8-ohm impedance — Pioneer makes it easy for you by putting the terminal connections for both voice coils on the same side of the sub.
To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 600 and 1200 watts RMS at 2 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.
