Overview

Our take on the Pioneer AVH-X2600BT

Built-in Bluetooth® with Siri Eyes Free support

Once you've driven with a Bluetooth receiver, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. Pioneer's AVH-X2600BT DVD receiver brings all the advantages of a touchscreen receiver to your vehicle, along with the convenience and safety of Bluetooth. You'll enjoy hands-free calling with your compatible phone, plus the ability to wirelessly stream and control music from compatible phones and other Bluetooth devices. And if you've got an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5/5S/5C, you can take advantage of Siri Eyes Free functionality, using your voice to to place calls, select music, hear notification, add reminders — even compose and listen to text messages.

Pioneer AVH-X2600BT

You'll enjoy a variety of display options with the AVH-X2600BT.

Smartphone-ready with MirrorLink™

Tap into the potential of your smartphone safely when you get behind the wheel. The MirrorLink system provides unparalled in-dash control over an ever-growing list of Android™ smartphones, including the popular Samsung Galaxy S III and Nokia Symbian models. With MirrorLink, you'll enjoy touchscreen control from your Pioneer over music, phone contacts, and select apps — connect your compatible phone via USB and enjoy a seamless experience. Pioneer's CD-ML100 MirrorLink adapter is required (not included).

Slick touchscreen controls

Touch Slide technology adds a new dimension to fingertip control over many functions. Want a new EQ curve? Just draw it on the screen with your finger and you've got it. And you can browse video files through thumbnail images — just touch them to check out a sneak preview.

You can also change the receiver's appearance to match your dash by choosing from five display colors and 112 key panel illumination options. And when you're ready to get the party started, MIXTRAX will liven up your time on the road. This feature creates a DJ-like experience with content from your iPod®, iPhone, or Android, adding special effects between songs and variable-color lighting that pulses with the beat of your music.

Sparkling video

The receiver's 6.1" LCD screen plays DVDs and other video content in bright, clear detail when you're parked. You can keep your passengers entertained by sending video from the receiver to a rear-seat screen — that sure makes those long road trips go faster. You'll be able to view video content from your iPod or IPhone with the addition of optional cables (check the "Details" tab for full information). And you can play it safe when you throw it into reverse by plugging in a rear-view camera.

Ready to roll with your mobile devices

When you connect your iPod to the rear USB input cable, you'll be able to use the receiver's controls to access your playlists. Handy tools like Alphabet Search and Link Search to make it easier to find the song you want fast. Android users aren't left out in the cold either. Many Android phones support the Pioneer Connect app, which lets the receiver access music files when your Android is plugged in via USB.

If you're a fan of streaming Internet radio, connect your iPhone to the receiver with Pioneer's CD-IU201S cable and take charge of your Pandora® account from the touchscreen, complete with thumbs-up and thumbs-down controls. And don't forget, you can also enjoy all your CDs, DVD and CD discs full of MP3 or WMA music, or USB storage devices loaded with files.

Crisp and powerful sound

The receiver's powerful built-in amplifier delivers the volume you're looking for, while the 8-band equalizer offers plenty of ways to tweak the sound to your liking. Pioneer's Advanced Sound Retriever perks up the flat sound of compressed music by restoring high-frequency information. For those looking to build a system, three pairs of preamp outputs make it easier to connect external amps, and this receiver offers an auto-equalization feature to tune your system (microphone required, not included).

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.

This was my first time ever ordering from Crutchfield and it was great! Great deal on this double din for my truck and you get all the harnesses and adapters. They shipped it out immediately after I ordered it and arrived earlier then expected! Installation instructions were straight forward and product was simple to install. Definitely ordering from Crutchfield again in the future!

Radio works as advertised. I did a lot research and the AVH-2600BT is the best value. Far superior to the Toyota stock radio in both sound quality and reception (after 1 day of testing :). Bluetooth operation through iPhone 6 is great, voice call through Siri was such a great hands-free benefit, microphone seems to work well, and clarity through the speakers is good.

Pros: Looks fantastic, like that you can change background and button colors. Has a lot of features for future expansion. Did I say it sounds great?

Cons: Wish there was a way to toggle through all presets through FM1-FM3 instead of having to touch the screen.

Pros: Nice screen, good sound, flawless I-device integration, via wire and Bluetooth.

Great purchase, I analyzed many online markets and with the added value of the install components the price was by far less than others. The unit itself was just as described and all functions work great. Video is exceptionally clear on DVDs as well as back up camera. Two things that kept me from giving 5 stars is the annoying beeping sound when using a button as well as the connection of the bluetooth. I wish it wouldnt give you a "failed to connect" error that requires confirmation when I have my bluetooth on my phone turned off.

Pros: Very sleek and many features for the $$

Cons: Annoying beep, however I remember years ago when I was in High School I loved the head units that beeped when buttons were pressed. Just personal preference, wish it could be turned off and on.

I bought this head unit as a replacement for the second car and I have to say that I love everything about it. The ease of use and iPod intergration are great and the sound quality is amazing for a head unit in this price range. I have a newer Alpine digital media receiver in my primary vehicle and am now disappointed that I paid so much for it and didn't give this Pioneer a chance first.

Radio does everything I wanted. It doesn't have the new "car play" for Apple, but still connects with iPhones with some capability. I'm good with just having Siri available to make calls for me, take texts, and give directions, though some Apps do not work. It's easy to switch between inputs, but using the iPod isn't as easy as I hoped. Finding your playlist, then getting it to quickly shuffle your songs takes a bit of time. Then if you switch to radio and back to iPod, you have to start all over. Maybe I'll get more efficient with time.

Pros: Easy to connect with Siri Easy to switch between inputs

Cons: ipod a little cumbersome to use

Excellent product especially for the price. As always Pioneer puts out a good product. Install was flawless given the full kit provided by Crutchfield. These guys know they're stuff and are always available. Installed in a 2012 Ram 1500 and with the help of an online forum was able to make the necessary dash modifications to both install the head unit and Bluetooth mic. The inclusion of the mic as well as a USB cable is an added bonus. Unit has a nice crisp display and the EQ settings improve any stock system. Solid build and the buttons don't feel cheap. My only gripes are that it takes a few seconds for the Bluetooth to connect and be ready to play. Not a huge deal at all, but something to note. Also, you can't search alphabetical in the address book. In other words, it pulls up your entire address book, but with today's phones where several apps (i.e FB) sync contacts, scrolling through thousands of contacts is impossible. I love the ability to change the background; I put a RAM logo and the thing looks stock.

Pros: Easy install, mic and USB cable included, customization, sound quality

    Cons: None significant

I searched for days trying to decide which receiver to go with, I didn't want to spend a lot of money but also didn't want to cheap out. I finally ended up with this one and I am very pleased with my purchase. This unit does everything I wanted it to do and more. Sound quality is great, screen quality is great, touch screen responsiveness is great, Bluetooth works great, it works perfectly with my iphone 6, and it displays artist, song, artwork, and other info almost seamlessly. The only con that I have come across so far is that there aren't many file types that can be used for video playback, but this isn't much of a con for me because I didn't buy this unit to watch video.

Pros: album artwork display is awesome iphone compatibility (Bluetooth, charging, and music playback) touch screen is responsive and not laggy audio quality is great

Cons: limited file types to use for video playback using usb

This is a great piece of equipment, great deal for the money, well done Pioneer, one thing I am disappointed with is the Bluetooth pairing, where on my OEM bluetooh I was able to pair with 5 devices, however with this unit maximum is 3, one might say why do I need to pair with 5 devices. well it so happens that I have 2 mobiles, and my wife has 2, and the 5th is for people who use my car on and off.

Pros: Sound Quality is Good, looks great

Cons: Bluetooth memory (pairing only up to 3 devices).

This unit replaced an OEM CD / cassette (yes...I said cassette!) JBL Infinity head unit that had eaten a CD I put in my 2004 Toyota Sienna van. Overall integration into the van's existing amp and steering wheel controls was excellent using the highly recommend, fairly easy to install Crux unit. Cheapskates (like myself) beware. Just order all installation gear from Crutchfield, to make install day go smoothly. Wish I could say Crutchfield rep to rep advice was consistent. But it wasn't. First rep recommended integration gear that wasn't as capable as what I ultimately purchased as recommended by a 3rd rep. 2nd rep said the vehicle's existing amp wouldn't work with the Pioneer. Not true - according to an emailed follow-up by Crutchfield. Don't be scared away by the apparent Iphone incompatibility. I found for the Average Joe? Most features like bluetooth calling and audio to the Pioneer? Work fine. This unit has a cajilliion options and features hidden away in menus and sub menus. Great if you want to play around with them. Out of the way if you don't want to mess with them. Not a big fan of touch screens because I don't think there as easy to use as hard buttons and can distract the driver - but you certainly can cram more features in with soft buttons - so it's a reasonable tradeoff - as long as you pay attention to the road. Overall? Very pleased with my Crutchfield experience and head unit installation education!

Pros: Huge bang for the buck - especially on sale. Tons of options, features, and expansion possibilities (in the right vehicle). Excellent included, direction-adjusting bluetooth mic for your phone. Callers say I sound crisp and clear. Plenty of included wire to run it to the overhead visor for clip mounting.

Cons: Radio reception doesn't appear as good as the old head unit with diversity tuning. As others have complained here? Very difficult to view the screen in bright light. Volume max doesn't appear as loud as previous unit either. Old head unit picked up more station and song information than this one does. Why? Top menu seems out of place and stodgy in an otherwise cool looking menu system. Wish it had wireless capabilities and firmware updates using that as a conduit.

The wife loves the Bluetooth. We traded our 2002 Chevrolet Tracker in on a GMC SIERRA and lost our Pioneer Bluetooth reciever. This was a big upgrade. DVD, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, and much more.

Cons: No cons other than about a 1/4 " longer than the oem. Had to trim some plastic where the oem support peg would go.

So far, I love this head-unit. I just installed it recently so time will tell the true tale, but at this moment I'm very pleased with this purchase. I went back and forth on this for a while thinking that it wouldn't be that good for the low price...I'm used to touchscreen double dins being much more expensive than they are nowadays. In short, if you're on the fence, just buy it. The interface is intuitive to navigate. Much better than the Kenwood Excellons and Alpines I've had. The sound controls are good, not great, but good; I like that the 8 band eq has two custom settings. Sonic center control is a nice feature as well letting you adjust the sound stage to your listening position. I may yet pick up the add on mic to take advantage of the auto eq function which is their version of time alignment. I plan to take advantage of the 3 sets of preouts and like the available high and low pas filtering options and sub controls. The radio gets decent reception, the cd player sounds great, the bluetooth works well for phone calls and I've had no complaints from people on the other end, the bluetooth audio sounds great too. I can't get full Pandora control via bluetooth but can through usb to my android phone; maybe I'm missing a setting for this but if connected to bluetooth only, Pandora plays well but has to be controlled from my phone. I haven't tried my iPod yet. I also haven't hooked up the rear view camera or the rear monitor yet. DVDs play well and look decent.

Pros: Intuitive interface that's easy to use and pleasing to look at. Decent sound control options. Way better sound than stock even with no amplifiers at this time. Good bluetooth phone control. Plenty of connection options and expand-ability. All around great entertainment control center for your vehicle. Price. Crutchfield customer service and tech support top notch as always!

Cons: Pandora control over bluetooth from my android phone is full control, have to be plugged into usb for full control. Screen tends to get a little washed out on sunny days, but that's kind of an issue with every unit I've had in recent years. Delay on startup could be shorter.

The radio fits very well in my 2006 Toyota Tundra. My only complaint is that the instructions to link my iPhone to the bluetooth module in the radio provided in the instruction booklet as well as on the Pioneer website are completely wrong. They both tell you to initiate the sync from the radio, but the buttons to do that are greyed out. You have to initiate the sync from your phone. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the sound of the stereo and the functionality of the unit.

Pros: Easy install as long as you have the factory radio brackets.

Cons: Instructions for bluetooth setup from Pioneer are incorrect.

A very nice deck for the price, it works very well. There are only 2 things that bother me: First it needs more Android support. It has tons of iPhone support but very basic Android features. Secondly, it requires connected USB devices to be FAT32... something that took me a bit to figure out as I format everything NTFS. But as is, its a really nice DIN head unit. Hands free works well and was easy to set up, the added on backup camera works flawlessly with it as well. Wish it had a front USB port but its fine as is. I ran my extension cable into the glove compartment. Happy with it, and would buy it again.

Pros: Easy to install, easy to setup. Bluetooth hands free phone is super easy to set up and works well. Added on backup camera works flawlessly.

Cons: Very little Android support / features compared to iPhone. USB devices need to be FAT32 or it will give a "incompatable device" error Fingerprint Smudges on screen will give you OCD Read times on USB devices can take a while

The unit was relatively easy to install especially with the Crutchfield provided parts and guidelines. The Pioneer provided Owner's Manual is printed in a tiny font that can be difficult to read particularly when you are almost standing on your head under the dash. Also the Manual includes this unit and 4 other models of the Pioneer receiver. The problem with the receiver is the display which washes out in bright sunlight.

Pros: Flexibility, sound quality and appearance.

Cons: Display fades in bright sunlight.

This Pioneer head unit gives my Ford Explorer a whole new attitude. I paired this HU with the Clarion back-up camera and couldn't be happier! It pairs perfectly with my iPhone and audio streams brilliantly between the two. Calls are clear and the bluetooth works very well as other callers can hear me just fine. The AUX inputs make for adding anything else on if i needed to, future proof. My SUV came stock with the MACH audio system and this takes the sound system to a whole new level. It really sounds fantastic and i've got so much more control over the factory speakers and subwoofer. It really puts my vehicle into present times. Crutchfield also has fantastic customer service. Glad I purchased my stuff here.

Pros: Bluetooth audio streaming, external mic, aux hookups, and great sound.

Cons: Self - installation can take awhile if you've got a lot of things to hook up as I did (Steering wheel remote, 12v to 5v pass, backup camera, amp etc) But its all very well worth it.

Ive had pioneer receivers almost exclusively since i can remember. This was for my wife's car because i had another older pioneer MP3 player but no dvd. Because of the wire harness included for free from Crutchfield instalation was easy and fone in under an hour. The unit is easy to use, Bluetooth connectivity is easy, fast and clear. (Samsung Galaxy S4 & S5)

Pros: Quality, Price, Options, Bluetooth music streaming, super easy installation.

Cons: The mirror link is only for iphone. I was a bit disappointed because i thiught i could just mirror my droid in the unit but that wasn't the case. However with the bluetooth music streaming i dont miss out much. Besides i rarely use a navigation device and when i have to i have a 6inch tom tom that does the job. Also the screen, altho is an LCD display is not very good when playing videos. Up close the image is a bit grainy. Looks better from the back seat.

A great set of features : bluetooth streaming, backup camera input, USB (rear input), remote. I purchased this mainly to incorporate bluetooth hands free and streaming. Getting the rear input for a backup camera (yet to install) was a bonus. Installation was relatively easy, and crutch field tech support was solid when I called in for verification of wiring. wiring harnesses were spot on, fascia for double din fit in well enough. Still fiddling with the sound controls (EQ) but that'll come with time.

Pros: great feature set. bluetooth mic is excellent, just like other reviewers have noted. dvd playback is good. USB stick with music/folders works great. remote control works great as well.

The Wife wanted a back up camera for the Avalanche. So, we needed a display. I started doing research on an acceptable replacement for the stock POS that was in there currently. This matched size(with modifications), options, price, and had DVD. Whilst contemplating the final decision, The Wife blew the right front speaker. After further research and contemplating, there was a price break added and we purchased the wish list minus the head rest monitors. The sound on this HU is phenomenal! The install wasn't too rough. The modified fit for the Avi was removing a support behind the stock unit that cost me an $8 hacksaw, 45 minutes and two beers. Not bad really! Hooked up the complementary Crutchfield equipment and it was plug and play! Literally play! This thing has got features galore! Sadly, it doesn't have HD or installed Sirius. The day before we received the equipment, I got an email ad from Crutchfield about the Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS that was only $30 more than this one. It has HD and a built in sat radio?!? Well crap. It's literally the same HU but has these options. This is an awesome sounding HU, ridiculously easy to install with the instructions, and has a ton of gadgets to play with on it. The only issue we have had so far is, The Wife is reporting that she occasionally doesn't get the auto pair with the bluetooth on her iPhone. Not sure what that is about. So, for $30 bucks more, get the AVH-X3600BHS. It's a better investment even if you don't use.

Pros: Great sound. Multiple options. Easy to install.

Cons: No HD radio or built in Sirius. I knew this, but for some reason, didn't see the other option. Maybe not a Con but poor oversight on my part. Do better research than I did.

This is a nice radio, especially for the price. I gave 4/5 stars because of its limited compatibility with Android devices. I can stream via Pandora, web, and MP3s already installed on my device. The only thing it seems I can't do is establish a USB connection to my phone. The DVD video quality is not too shabby. The customization ability for the interface is pretty nice - You can change the theme (background) to a number of presets or use your device photos (if I had an adapter for my Android device, but iPhone users should be able to do this), and you can also change the illumination to match the color of the meters on your dash. Overall, I am happy with the product. It is much better than my old factory HU.

Pros: Low Price ~ Sounds great ~ User Friendly ~ Interface Customization ~ Ability to link Pandora and stream MP3s flawlessly

Cons: Limited compatibility with Android. (Samsung Galaxy S5)

I have been living with this unit for about a month now, I wish there was really some way to try a head unit first, but I don't regret my purchase. It's not perfect, so I give it a 4+. iPhone 5s user here, I chose not to spend 600 plus on an app radio or NEX, when my phone will be right next to me and I can possibly mount an iPad over the HU to use that. This has Siri eyes free which is OK (more later). Overall, despite the shortcomings, I like it!

Pros: Pros: Crutchfield is great. Great site, great customer service, great support. I bought the HU for a 2012 Mazda 3. It comes with free install gear, I bought some connectors, I bought a ASWC elsewhere (it was cheaper A to Z). Install was easy (even with the ASWC); do a little planning and it all makes sense - don't know how? Ask them, or hit youtube. Sound quality is better than factory; I'm not an audiophile, I just wanted a better head unit. It's easy to use, and is intuitive. The color options

Cons: Cons: I lost some steering wheel controls for Bluetooth. I wish I could have keep the BT buttons. Some menu items are 'swipe for next page' and some are 'press a button to move to next page'; took a few minutes to figure it out. I am not planning on watching video while I drive so I didn't do the parking brake switch. Guess what? To change the background to my own pic (in .jpg) - that is considered as viewing content, and it won't let me. So now I might have to go back, remove the unit and eithe

After months of research between the Kenwood 491 and Pioneer AVH 2600, I pulled the trigger on the Pioneer AVH 2600. And I am Very pleased with it. The Sound Is Amazing! I installed with the PAC RP4-CH11. The 8 band equalizer fine tunes the sound perfectly. The MIXTRAX is pretty cool also. I read complaints about the brightness and dim function, both are fine with my vehicle (2014 Dodge Challenger) This Unit is Awesome for the price! Also when playing Pandora via bluetooth synced with my iphone, I can control the advance song function (via steering wheel controls)

Pros: Crystal Clear Awesome Sound! Bluetooth syncs automatically everytime with no problam. The display is very cool! MIXTRAX is cool also. Bluetooth phone calls are crystal clear! Too many great things to list.

Cons: The radio reception is not that good, but I bought this to play Pandora and my iTunes (hard to find HARD ROCK radio stations anymore)

Outstanding unit, perfect integration with iPhone 6. I added a subwoofer to my upgraded door/rear speakers and it sounds amazing. The unit's touchscreen is on par with much more expensive units/OEM quality. The Crutchfield master installation notes were good, however I did not remove the dash support structure as instructed I only removed a bit of plastic at the bottom with the OEM locating/support pin was.

All I was looking for was a touchscreen double din setup that would allow me to stream audio from music and calls via Bluetooth from my iPhone 6...this receiver absolutely delivers. I was concerned that the iPhone 6 was not listed as being compatible, but I have not experienced any issues. Bluetooth setup was very easy and the phone pairs automatically every time you jump in the car. Music streaming quality is exceptional and phone calls work great too. My ONLY issue is the display...as others have commented, if you drive around during the day with at least your parking lights on, the display will dim significantly. I live in Florida (the Sunshine State), and I can't see the display at all during the day. BUT, I did discover that I can change the settings so that the display brightness does not dim when I turn the lights on--and, thankfully, the settings are remembered even after you turn the car off and back on again--the display still enters "night mode" when I hit the lights, but the brightness stays up all the way so that I can see the display. No other complaints. When you plug your phone in to the USB, you can take advantage of Pandora controls which includes the album cover art...same goes for iTunes songs/radio. Great buy!

I bought this to go in my 2014 Honda Ridgeline and I love it! It does all things well that you would expect or hope it would. One of the things I've found to be somewhat problematic with other head units is sometimes the way Bluetooth hijacks a call can be combersome so I was at least concerned but it works flawlessly. Great sound quality, extremely easy to use, and has cool features. I have this installed with the factory speakers, an Alpine 90x4/500/1 amp, factory fit enclosure, and 10in kicker comp 10's. I'm very pleased at the sound from the factory speakers coupled with this unit and the amp. Especially considering I was willing to pay a couple hundred for door speakers and didn't need to.

    Pros: Everything listed above

Cons: If there's one complaint I could have, it would be that when I have the volume up and listening via Bluetooth to music on my phone, the audible alert that I've received a text, email, etc isn't loud enough so I have to keep my phone facing me so I will see it light up. But it does mute the music when I have an incoming call so that's not much of a complaint but that's all I have.

This is a really great product for the money. The touchscreen is very responsive and all the modes from the Bluetooth to the auxillary and Pandora functions work well.

Pros: Bluetooth, display, Pandora syncing with your phone.

Cons: None really. Only one I can think of is there can be slight delays between switching tracks and it updating the track info.

I gave this a 4 star as it could use some improvements. This unit has great sound compared to my factory HU. I like the fact that I can see artist and song info. I must give props to Crutchfield as this is the first ever radio I've installed ever and they were great at getting me all the documentation and instructions with my order to assist me in installing this HU. I thought this unit was XM compatible but sadly it is not, I should have read closer when ordering but its no big deal, this unit has a Pandora mode which will interact with your smart phone. Just plug your phone into the HU via its included USB cord, open Pandora on your phone and you've got streaming music in your car, which is better than XM, no announcements. The only draw with this is: You need to be in an area with good cell/data coverage for Pandora to work well, although the same could be said of XM. I also love the Siri-eyes which works great with my iphone 5 for hands free calling and music playing. I can simply ask Siri to play a song or playlist, read incoming text messages and respond to messages hands free. Over-all I am pleased with this unit. The only thing Im not crazy about is in order for me to see app data on the HU from my iphone is to purchase an apple VGA to lightning adapter + a pioneer VGA/USB cable set. The apple adapter on its own is quite bulky and I really don't want this dangling around in my console. Pioneer should come up with a better way of doing this..

Pros: Great sound, nice interface, Siri Eyes works well with iphones. Has Pandora mode which allows to you control streaming music from your smart phone direct on the HU's interface.

Cons: Needing to purchase extra clunky hardware to make the App mode work with my iphone- Pioneer should make its own VGA to lightning cable that can be easily concealed in the console rather than the customer needing to purchase multiple pieces of hardware in order for other features of this HU work.

Well worth the value, especially after discounted price. Would be worth a lot more if played iPhone with lightning hookup directly. If you have an iPhone 5 or later, order the extra equipment to use apps directly on touch screen.

Unit plays great, sounds great and has a great UI. The unit falls quite short in the ease of using the buttons on the unit and remote. The buttons do not have any ridges and are require you to look at the unit, find the button and then press it just right. The remote helps, but the next/prev track are in the wrong place (IMO) since they are opposite of the volume buttons, thus making it clumsy to change tracks. On the plus side, this unit looks great, has great configurability and is a steal for the price. If the buttons are an issue, this is for you.

Pros: * Clean, simple and easy to use UI * Clear sound * Touch screen is appropriately sensitive

Cons: * Physical buttons require eye contact to locate - lack raised bumps and edges * Remote has odd button placements for frequently used buttons (next/prev track opposite side of remote from volume)

After owning and installing several Pioneer DVD receivers this one works like it was build for me, the controls and the features are second nature and the performance is all Pioneer. The Bluetooth audio streaming is the best, it works with IPhone and Galaxy and i don't have to be plugged in to enjoy it just hop in and go.

Pros: Bluetooth audio features, Pioneer sound and design, all the ports and additions that Pioneer puts into their products, and with the ease of installation that Crutchfield offers with every purchase.

    Cons: microphone

    Good radio, bad microphone.

The Bluetooth microphone is not very good at cancelling out other noise. It picks up absolutely every noise it could, and isn't adjustable other than the volume. I will do some problem solving and attempt to correct this when I have time, but as of now I don't even use the Bluetooth feature when someone calls. It's not fully compatible with my phone, but for the money it is a good unit! I would buy this unit again rather than looking for another unit.

Pros: Easy to set up. Works well (other than the microphone). Sound quality is great. Bluetooth streaming quality is good.

Cons: Bluetooth microphone. When streaming songs via Bluetooth, the display doesn't update. Not all that compatible with the phone.

Solid unit, transformed the sound of my playlists from the factory filtered player to the way they should sound. Clear and crisp, simple instructions, clearly labeled accessory ports. Display is decent, u/i is pretty intuitive once you get used to it. Crutchfield supplied everything I needed and didn't know I needed, a perfectly matched master sheet and wiring diagrams to boot, made it easy and seriously improves my quality of life for well under 300 bucks.

Pros: Easy to use, good quality, crutchfield support, free supplies/ connectors/ diagrams. Pioneer quality, sound quality, visual appeal

Cons: None so far, however Bluetooth/ iPhone a/v interface can be slow

    Good unit for the price.

As always Crutchfield makes it so easy to install everything yourself. This Pioneer is great in many ways, but I bought it thinking it would seamlessly integrate with my Galaxy S5, the Appradio software I didn't really care for, very limited and difficult to get up and running. Wish I would have held out until March or April when the new Android Auto head units are coming out.

Pros: Great Pioneer sound, very expandable.

Cons: Appradio sucks in my opinion.

Nice stereo. Have been using for a little over a week. Bluetooth easy to use on my galaxy 5 android phone. Very easy to connect to Pandora. Hands free calling sound is good on both ends of the call. Installed in a Toyota Tundra 2004 truck. Had to remove my amp for wire harness to work correctly otherwise very easy to install. Was excited to find that I can put a Husker logo as my background. Need to connect the parking brake wire to accomplish the connection to a usb drive. Great sound quality. DVD video quality pretty good. Only complaint is that it can be difficult to see the screen during the daytime. Overall very happy with purchase.

Pros: Easy bluetooth connection. Hands free calling easy and clear. Customizable.

Cons: Difficult to see in sun.

I was expecting decent functionality, and I have been wowed by this thing. Install is straightforward as any head unit is. The sound delivery is impeccable. I have never been disappointed with Pioneer, and this one is no different. The USB functionality allows me to plug in my 1TB Portable Hard Drive and it will read my music, videos, and pictures flawlessly, though it, expectedly, does take a little bit to get everything loaded up. Reads my Android too. It looks very understated, but sleek. Looks great in my 88 MR2 AW11. The touchscreen is responsive and accurate, and is delightful to operate. No quirks or strange functionality with it. The buttons on the side do not have a "click" of any kind, but they are solid, so even though you don't get a satisfying confirmation that you clicked the button, they have a good feel to them, and it didn't take long for me to get used to them. The screen has "low" resolution, like I've seen some complain about, but don't be misled, because the picture is still pretty clear. This isn't meant for your living room after all. The menus are very thorough and pretty easy to navigate, a tough combination. The audio control and customization is excellent, though better in some other units. Bluetooth is easy to setup, and voice clarity is excellent on both ends. I haven't had the time to give it the full functionality test, but overall, I'm glad I spent the extra money for this touchscreen over the standard double DIN unit. Worth it!

Pros: Responsive and Accurate Touch Screen USB Functionality Sound Quality Menu Navigation Customizability Bluetooth Functionality Bluetooth Clarity Looks Very Sleek in my 88 MR2 Straightforward install of accessories Reads my Android (KitKat) devices with no problem

Cons: Small AWG wires on harness Side Buttons don't offer any sort of "click" of any kind Screen resolution is a little low

This stereo is a great value! for the price you get a lot. sound quality is better than a stock radio. the amount of inputs/outputs in the back are nice. It has a USB cable that comes with it, it hooks up into the back of the stereo, and you can route the cable to where you need in the dash so you can put in a flash drive. it's awesome! And it plays the files in a folder format. meaning if I have a band, and they have 5 albums, I can put that hold band folder into the flash drive. and it will show up as band>albums>songs. not like the ipod style. that was a big key factor for me. not everyone uses Apple products, we don't like the way they categorize their files! you can still use your iphones or whatever with the stereo, but it's an android capable stereo also. and the flash drive works like windows format. you can hook up a rear view camera, you can watch dvds and view pictures! you can save pictures to the stereo and use that as a background! you can change the color of the side buttons to match your vehicle's interior color. and it' nice cause you can fine tune on the color scale to get that exact shade, or hue of green or blue, or red. whatever color interior your car is, you can match it! it's a nice, responsive touch screen. Bluetooth works nice. lots of features. it's great buy for the price!

Pros: quality price brand touchscreen android

Cons: image quality when viewing pictures could be a little better no built in voice control for phone calls, have to use your phone's voice control
