You can also change the receiver's appearance to match your dash by choosing from five display colors and 112 key panel illumination options. Sparkling video

The receiver's 6.1" LCD screen plays DVDs and other video content in bright, clear detail when you're parked. You can keep your passengers entertained by sending video from the receiver to a rear-seat screen — that sure makes those long road trips go faster. You'll be able to view video content from your iPod or IPhone with the addition of optional cables (check the "Details" tab for full information). Crisp and powerful sound

The receiver's powerful built-in amplifier delivers the volume you're looking for, while the 8-band equalizer offers plenty of ways to tweak the sound to your liking. Pioneer's Advanced Sound Retriever perks up the flat sound of compressed music by restoring high-frequency information. For those looking to build a system, three pairs of preamp outputs make it easier to connect external amps, and this receiver offers an auto-equalization feature to tune your system (microphone required, not included).

You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

    Touchscreen Display

6.1" TFT LCD Touchscreen Color Display: The AVH-X2600BT features a 6.1" TFT Active Matrix, 16:9 widescreen touchscreen display. The resolution of the display is 800 x 480 (RGB), for a total of 1,152,000 pixels. The touchscreen display allows you to control this unit and a connected component such as an iPod/iPhone, or USB mass storage class device. Menus appear on screen for making function choices, audio adjustments, and setting up the system.

    • Widescreen Modes: You can choose from the following widescreen modes when playing back video - Full (4:3 picture is enlarged in the horizontal direction only; enabling you to enjoy a 4:3 picture without any omissions), Zoom (4:3 picture is enlarged in the same proportion both vertically and horizontally; ideal for a 16:9 screen), Normal (4:3 picture is displayed as it is).
    • Picture Adjustments: You can store numerous video settings for the head unit's video source and rear-view camera; including brightness (adjusts the black intensity), contrast (adjusts contrast) color (adjusts color saturation), temperature (adjust the color temperature), and Dimmer (adjusts brightness).
    • OSD + Backgrounds: The color of the on-screen display can be set to red, amber, green, blue or white. The background can be set to one of four preset still images, two moving images, a stored JPEG image, spectrum analyzer, or turned Off.
Note: The Pioneer AVH-X2600BT offers English, Chinese, French, Portuguese, and Spanish text.

Favorites: You can register the desired menu items on the AVH-X2600BT's "Favorites" menu screen. Registering your favorite menu items allows you to quickly jump to the registered menu item by a simple touch on the favorites menu. Up to 12 menu items can be registered as a "Favorite".

Front-Panel Control w/ Custom Illumination: In addition to the touchscreen controls, the unit includes frequently used buttons along the left edge of the screen. The color of the button illumination can be set to red, amber, green, blue, white, or scan (constantly cycling through the color spectrum). You can also create a custom color to match your vehicle's interior lighting (112 colors to choose from).

MIXTRAX Illumination: MIXTRAX features a club-style illumination that enhances the mood with a dynamic dance club-like lighting effect. As MIXTRAX begins, lights start pulsing to the beat of the music, adding an extra level of entertainment. You can choose among twelve patterns of lighting variations from sound pressure level or low-pass synchronization modes. The lighting effects work like a spectrum analyzer, reaching peak colors based on the intensity of the music.

Dimmer: To prevent the display from being too bright at night, the display is automatically dimmed when the car's headlights are turned on. The automatic dimmer function only works when the orange/white illumination wire in the wiring harness is connected to the vehicle's headlight circuit.

Parking Brake Interlock: This unit has a parking brake interlock system that prohibits viewing of video programming and operating certain controls when the vehicle is in motion. In order to watch video on the in-dash monitor, the vehicle must be stopped with the parking brake engaged. The head unit's light green wire must be connected to your vehicle's parking brake detection circuit. The head unit's touchscreen will display "Attention! Viewing of front seat video source while driving is strictly prohibited", if you try to watch a video when your vehicle is in motion.

2-DIN Chassis: The Pioneer AVH-X2600BT has a 2-DIN chassis (also known as "Double-DIN"), and will fit in many vehicles with a large dash opening. The unit can be ISO-mounted using factory brackets. There is also an optional double-DIN sleeve (130ADTV133, sold separately) available for this unit that will allow you to Euro-mount or custom mount the Pioneer head unit in your vehicle. As always, please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to verify fit with your vehicle.

iPod Connectivity w/ DAC Bypass: The Pioneer AVH-X2600BT supports direct connection of your 30-pin or Lightning-connector iPod/iPhone through its rear-panel USB port, RGB input, and 3.5mm jack. This is very useful for the person riding in your passenger seat. The App mode also lets you listen to your favorite music apps from your iPhone (iOS 3.0+) through the Pioneer head unit and your vehicle's speakers. Not all apps will be compatible with App Mode and App Mode will provide only limited (basic), if any, control over the app. Available controls may include; Play/Pause & Skip Previous/Next. SPP (Secure Simple Pairing): With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the AVH-X2600BT without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units. Up to 3 Bluetooth-compatible devices can be registered to this head unit; only one device can be used at a time.

Hands-Free Communication (w/ External Mic): The AVH-X2600BT supports wireless hands-free communication (HFP/HSP/OPP/PBAB) for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. The head unit will display the caller's information and an audible ring tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker during an incoming call. You can manually answer an incoming call or have the unit automatically answer the call. The AVH-X2600BT allows you to carry on a phone conversation from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone using the head unit's external microphone and your car audio speakers. During a conversation you can adjust the volume, as well as switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode. Using the AVH-X2600BT, you can dial a phone number in one of the following ways:

    • Entering a Phone Number: You can make a call by entering the phone number using the head unit's touchscreen keypad (0-9, *, #, +, C).
    • Speed (Preset) Dialing: You can easily store up to six phone numbers as presets for speed dialing.

The head unit will also display your music's song information; such as Artist name and Song/Album title. (app must also support). When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call.

Siri Eyes-Free Functionality: When paired and connected with an iPhone with Siri via Bluetooth, the Pioneer AVH-X2600BT has the ability to access Siri through its touchscreen and external microphone for "Siri Eyes-Free" functionality. When activated, Siri voice prompts play through the vehicle's speakers and the user's commands and questions are received and transmitted to the receiver using the external microphone. Siri Eyes-Free provides access to many iPhone Siri functions such as music selection, making phone calls, and audible navigation (map will be displayed on iPhone); as well as listening to text messages, calendar information, and reminders. The head unit's touschreen monitor will only indicate hands-free calling and song/artist information (all other functions of Siri are only audible through the Pioneer AVH-X2600BT; visual data will still need to be viewed from your iPhone device).

Note: Your iPhone with Siriu can be connected via Bluetooth and USB simultaneously. You can only access stored music using Siri when the head unit's source is iPod or Bluetooth Audio. All other Siri functions can be accessed from any source. The head unit's audio is muted while Siri provides audible voice prompts.
    Disc & USB Playback

Compatible Discs: The unit has a front-loading disc-slot to make loading your disc easier, because there is no panel to slide or fold-down. The AVH-X2600BT supports playback of DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, CD-Audio, and CD-R/RW discs with music, video, and photo files.

    AM/FM + Pandora Internet Radio

Supertuner IIID AM/FM Tuner: The Supertuner IIID AM/FM tuner features Feed Forward Control, which avoids multi-path interference. This pre-detection of interference enables quick filter control and results in less distortion. In addition, the Supertuner IIID creates enhanced stereo during multi-path interference, unlike conventional tuners that collapse to mono. Digital processing reduces distortion, and improves Signal-to-Noise Ratio and stereo separation. Advanced analog technology improves signal processing sensitivity.

    • RDS: The Radio Data System (RDS) feature displays radio broadcast information such as artist, title, and album when listening to compatible AM/FM stations.
    • BSM (Best Stations Memory): BSM lets you automatically store the six strongest stations under preset buttons 1-6 of the currently tuned band. The tuner has 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank. You can store 6 presets for each bank giving you a total of 18 FM presets and 6 AM presets.
    • Local Tuning: Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. There are 4 level of sensitivity for FM and two levels for AM. The higher settings allow reception of only the strongest stations, while lower settings let you receive progressively weaker stations.

Pandora App: The free Pandora App (either from iTunes Apps or Google Play) lets you play music from the Pandora music service through the Pioneer AVH-X2600BT using your USB-connected Apple iPhone (iOS 5.0+) or Bluetooth paired Android smartphone. Your Apple iPhone must be connected to the AVH-X2600BT via the appropriate Pioneer iPod connector cable (CD-IU51 / CD-IU52 / CD-IU201V / CD-IU201S) or the connector-cable that came with your iPhone. Your Android smartphone must support A2DP/AVRCP/SPP Bluetooth profiles and be paired with the Pioneer AVH-2600BT. Your iPhone or Android smartphone will also need an active Data Plan account with connection to the Internet via 3G, EDGE, or WiFi. The Pioneer AVH-X2600BT will provide control over the Pandora music service & display Artist, Album, & Song information; as well as Album art.

    • Station List w/ Shuffle: You can select Pandora stations from your Station List by date or alphabetically (A-Z). You can also listen to songs played randomly from various stations within your Station List.
    • New Stations: New stations can be created based on the current songs or artists playing.
    • Skip Songs: You can skip song tracks within a station. You cannot skip back to a previous song. Pandora limits the number of skips allowed.
    • Thumbs Up/Down: You can give songs a thumbs up or thumbs down to help Pandora personalize stations to suit your preferences.
    • Bookmarking: The song/artist currently being played can be bookmarked & stored in your Pandora account.
Note: Access to the Pandora service will depend on the availability of a cellular and/or WiFi network for purposes of allowing your iPhone to connect to the Internet. Pandora is not supported in Canada & only available in the United States.
    Audio Section

24-Bit/96kHz DAC: For superb quality audio playback from DVDs, CDs, and flash media, the Pioneer AVH-X2600BT is equipped with a 24-bit/96kHz digital-to-analog converter.

MOSFET50 Internal Amplifier: This receiver is equipped with a 50 watts x 4 (peak) MOSFET amplifier for low distortion, high power output. The amplifier is strong enough to power small subwoofers to moderate volume levels in compact cars and pickups. For higher volume levels from subwoofers, an optional amplifier may be connected to the preamp outputs.

    • CEA2006 Specs: 14 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Continuous Power Output: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 50Hz-15kHz, 5% THD)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (or 50 watts x 2 channels at 4 ohms + 70 watts x 1 channel at 2 ohms for subwoofer)
Note: The power specifications for the AVH-X2600BT are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers.

2V/6CH Preamp Outputs + Sub Control: The Pioneer AVH-X2600BT features three pair of 2.0-volt preamp outputs (Front/Rear/Subwoofer). The unit's front and rear preamp output can be faded (front/rear), while the subwoofer preamp output is non-fading. The Pioneer AVH-X2600BT lets you adjust the subwoofer preamp output's phase (normal/reverse) and volume (+6 to -24).

Crossovers: The AVH-X2600BT employs high pass and low pass crossovers to tailor the head unit to your connected speakers.

    • HPF: The head unit's 12dB/octave high pass filter only allows frequencies higher than those in the selected range (50, 63, 80, 100, 125Hz) to your front and rear speakers through the unit's speaker-level or line-level outputs.
    • LPF: The subwoofer preamp output features an18dB/octave low pass filter so only frequencies lower than those in the selected range (50, 63, 80, 100, 125Hz) are output to your connected subwoofer.

EEQ (Easy EQ) w/ 8-Band Graphic EQ: There are seven stored equalizer curves which you can easily recall at any time. You can choose from - Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Super Bass, Flat, Custom 1, or Custom 2. The Custom 1 and Custom 2 EQ modes allow you to manually adjust the level (+/- 12dB) of each band of the head unit's 8-band graphic equalizer (40Hz, 80Hz, 200Hz, 400Hz, 1kHz, 2.5kHz, 8kHz, and10kHz).

Auto EQ (Optional): The auto-equalizer automatically measures your car's interior acoustic characteristics, and then creates an auto-equalizer curve base on that information. The Pioneer CD-MC20 Auto-EQ microphone (130CDMC20, sold separately) is required to use this function. The Pioneer CD-MC20 Auto-EQ microphone plugs into your compatible Pioneer A/V receiver's rear-panel AUX 3.5mm input. The Auto-EQ microphone should be placed in the center of your vehicle's driver seat headrest facing forward for EQ measurement.

Audio Settings: The head unit provides further sound adjustments for your car audio system.

    • Sonic Center Control: Sound that is suited for the listening position can easily be created with this function. You can adjust sound more toward the listening position left (7) to right (7).
    • Advanced Sound Retriever: The Advanced Sound Retriever automatically enhances compressed audio and restores the original richness of the recording. When the Advanced Sound Retriever is on, the high frequency range is compensated to match the frequency response curve to the original sound. There are two available levels of the Advanced Sound Retriever effect.
    • Loudness: The Loudness function compensates for deficiencies in the low- and high-frequency ranges at low volume. You can set the Loudness to High, Mid, Low, or Off.
    • Bass Boost: You can easily boost the subwoofer bass level by using the Bass Boost function. The Bass Boost feature allows you increase the subwoofer level from 0 to +6 (12dB).
    • Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function lets you adjust the volume level of each source (AM, Pandora, iPod, Apps) to prevent radical changes in volume when switching between sources. Settings are based on the unit's FM volume level, which remains unchanged. Each source can be independently adjusted from -4 dB to +4 dB.

MIXTRAX: Drawing from Pioneer's rich DJ heritage and passion for music, MIXTRAX delivers a unique DJ infused listening experience to listeners in the car. MIXTRAX is an innovative Pioneer technology that creates a non-stop mix of your music library complete with a range of DJ-inspired effects. MIXTRAX takes your typical music listening experience and creates a non-stop mix of your music with 9 random DJ effects and transitions, by removing the breaks and pauses normally introduced between tracks and replacing them with various beats. MIXTRAX is compatible with USB-connected iPhone, iPod, USB MSC device, and select Android devices. There is also a Short Playback option which limits the amount of time each track plays; select from 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, or 3 minutes.

Note: The MIXTRAX function does not work in App/Media App Control mode or with the Pandora App for iPod/iPhone/iPad. It is also not supported by USB MTP devices.

Key Beep: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation.

    AV Connections

Dual AV Inputs: The Pioneer AVH-X2600BT has dual AV inputs to connect two external audio/video sources. The head unit has a rear-panel 3.5mm minijack AV input for connecting a portable audio/video device. There is also a rear-panel composite video/stereo RCA AV input for connecting a video component such as a mobile TV tuner or game console. The rear-panel 3.5mm minijack input also serves as the A/V input for your USB-connected iPod/iPhone (using the proprietary Pioneer cable).

Video Output: The AVH-X2600BT features a rear-panel composite video output that allows you to connect an external display to the unit. You can play back the same video source which is being played on the head unit. You can select the unit to output a 16:9, Letter-Box or Pan-Scan aspect ratio to match your external display's screen size.

Rear-View Camera: The AVH-X2600BT is equipped with a composite video rear-view camera input for the addition of an optional backup camera (130NDBC6, sold separately). The unit features a function that automatically switches to the rear camera image. When the vehicle's transmission is put in reverse, the screen automatically switches to the rear view camera (violet/white wire of the harness must be connected to the vehicle's reverse lamp circuit for automatic video switching). Automatic video switching takes approximately 1.8 seconds. Pioneer recommends using a camera with a mirror image (reversed) output. Audio from your music source will continue playing, while the back-up camera is displayed.

Navigation Ready: The Pioneer AVH-X2600BT allows you to connect the Pioneer AVIC-U260 add-on navigation unit (130AVIC260, sold separately) through its RGB Input. This versatile hideaway unit allows you to switch to navigation mode with the touch of a button. Why does the owners manual say to reset the microprocessor "Before using this unit for the first time after installation"? Noticed this step after a successful self-installation,setup and test of all available functions.

I don't really know, but I'd guess it's to eliminate any little glitches that may have gotten into it prior to arriving into your hands. It's much preferable to do a reset before programming all your radio stations, EQ settings, etc. than after.

What wattage does this h/u put out?
    david  Mar 19, 2015

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The Pioneer stereo puts out 14 watts of RMS (continuous) power per speaker at four ohms (most speakers are four ohms), and it puts out up to 50 watts of peak power, which isn't continuous, only for bursts. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The Pioneer stereo does work with most Blackberry phones with bluetooth. In order to use bluetooth with the stereo it must be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following bluetooth profiles: Hands-Free Communication: HFP (Hands Free Profile), HSP (Head Set Profile), OPP (Object Push Profile), PBAB (Phone Book Access Profile). Audio Streaming: A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile). Android phones do connect via blue tooth. So you can answer via the head unit. I suppose if your phone supports voice dialing it will utilize the head unit for speaker and microphone, but I don't use voice dialing. I don't believe you can text on the head unit.

Frank, Yes, that unit does support Mirror link on both the iPhone 6 and 6plus as well as Samsung Galaxy s4 and my S5. I'm not sure about LG as i do not use that brand. I've also used my Samsung Galaxy tab4 and it supported mirror link connection. However, and it's also upto you, but primary I always just use Bluetooth streaming. I've also installed a thumb drive with transferred music directly to the thumb drive and play music from it. Sound quality is just as good as a simple CD.

Where can I find the setting on this unit to set it so it dims when I turn the headlights on?

Sorry I don't think I can help. I had my unit installed and my unit automatically dims when my headlights come on.
    joel  Dec 29, 2014
    A
The dim is triggered by a wire coming out the back of the radio(should be orange- you can check your radio owners manual for this information) this wire should be hooked up to the wire coming from your vehicle that signaled your previous radio to dim. You may have to do some testing with a multimeter to find the wire that has a voltage change when your lights are switched on/ off. If you don't have experience in wiring, I suggest you purchase the plug and play interface for your model car. I bought it for my Ford Mustang because of the amps for the shaker system and it shortened my install time from hours to only 20 minutes. Hope this helps.
    jake  Dec 28, 2014
    A
It's actually not in your settings it is apart of your wiring harness when you first had your radio installed. If you didn't wire it to dim it will never dim.

I had this unit installed in my vehicle in May. Everything worked great! A few months ago while using the Bluetooth to listen to music, a rapid beeping sound came out of the speakers. I closed out of the Bluetooth on the unit and on my phone, turned both back on, then it was fine. Now every time I try to use the Bluetooth for audio and phone it makes that beeping sound (nothing plays). My Bluetooth works fine when paired to other devices so it's not my phone, which is an android. What could be causing this?

Hi Laura G, You can hook a Blueray player to this unit if the player has a standard video/audio output. Car audio equipment has not not moved to HDMI cables so your video will not be 1080P & the audio will be in standard stereo & not 5.1 surround sound but it will play through all the speakers.

Great question in which it made me curious, so I tried it. Unfortunately, this unit does not allow more than one bluetooth connection. I attempted this using two Samsung GALAXY S4 phone's. However, one of the cool things is I have one phone connected via bluetooth and the other USB and play music or Pandora over USB and the other for just phone calls. It's the best this unit can do where as my Kenwood DNX6180 doesn't allow bluetooth streaming in my other vehicle. Perhaps looking at newer Kenwoods and also newer Pioneer AVIC NEX models.
    scott  May 29, 2014

This unit can only handle one connected device at a time. Each time we attempt to have more than one device even linked to the unit, it seems to get confused and acts buggy. 1 linked and paired device at a time seems to offer the best performance.

Tough question! I would have to guess one at a time, it shuts down music when the phone rings, so I think it's one task at a time. It would probably see and respond to more than one phone, but not answer 2 at a time.

Does the backup camera feature automatically come on when I put the car in reverse?

I know of 2 ways to wire the backup camera. Either you can wire it for reverse only or ignition. Reverse only, you connect the positive camera power wire to the backup light circuit. That only supplies power to the camera when the reverse lights are on. I wired mine to the red ignition wire so I always have access to see the camera view whether in reverse or driving. Gives me extra eyes to see behind. Especially at traffic lights.

When an iPhone is connected via Bluetooth, can you use the phone to select which music/podcast you want to listen to, or do you have to use the head unit?

Steve, When connected and using the Bluetooth Audio mode (not using the special Ipod/Iphone connector that is sold separately) you control your music choice by using your iphone - not the head unit. So in the case of using Pandora or playing music directly you would control song and/or Pandora station choice through your iphone only. The only option you have is to forward while using Pandora - you cannot change stations, create stations, or do any other functions from the head unit. If you want to use the head unit to control Pandora you will need to buy the special connector they sell separately which then will also mean your phone will be tethered. Hope that helps!

Depending on which mode you are currently on at that time you can use the head unit or the iphone itself. Be warned though that in order to get the full functionality of the head units capabillities the iphone must be plugged in. You also have to download apps to make it work correctly which all are very clunky to use. For example, when running waze you have no control over the music except for volume control, u have to exit out of the waze app, change a song, then start it back up. I am not impressed by this receiver so far in regards to music playback and app compatibility. Sound is pretty good though. Just want to make sure your aware of how it works more than I was. I will most likely be returning the product but that is strictly based on app compatibility. If music is your only concern the bluetooth playback is pretty nice except that the head unit does not usually remember what apps you were using to play music last.

When I use bluetooth on my iPhone 4S, you must use the phone to select the music/podcast you want. Once selected, the head unit is able to pause/play and skip tracks, I believe you can also scrub to where you want, but I'm not sure, I've been using the proprietary apple cable for two weeks now, so I don't quite remember that aspect.

Does it matter what back up camera you use? If so, what back up cameras can I use on this stereo? Thanks

As long as the camera has a standard output it should work with this receiver. You can see the compatible back-up cameras that we carry by clicking on the accessories tab, then on the "Rear View and Auxilliary Cameras" heading: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X2600BT/Pioneer-AVH-X2600BT.html?tp=20217#ag277650

Depends which app you use. I just use whatever app and view it from the phone on the screen while using Bluetooth music.

On my iPhone 4S I can listen to whatever I want (I listen to podcasts, slacker/pandora/spotify or music I have loaded on the iPhone via Bluetooth and it works really great. While playing any of these I can start up my navigation app and it will fade in with the turn-by-turn voice directions, then fade back to music. I use Scout ( used to be telenav) and waze. I do have 1 problem with waze where the turn by turn directions only play through the phone speakers, but this is a waze issue since I upgraded the device to ios7. I know this because it happens in another vehicle with a different iPhone integration set up. Note that it does not work like this with the sterero's radio setting, so you cannot listen to the radio and the nav app and have them both work together through the speakers.

I do not use the navigation apps. I use the mirror mode and map from phone for navigation so this way works well for me.

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate with your factory XM. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.
