No discs needed

With direct iPod and iPhone control, you can plug your device into the receiver's USB port and make music selections through the receiver. As a bonus, the receiver will also charge your device while you're playing your tunes. If you own an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5, you can take advantage of Siri® Eyes Free functionality with a touch of a button, accessing a variety of functions with your voice commands.

If you're using an iPod, iPhone, or USB device, Pioneer's integrated MIXTRAX virtual DJ technology can turn your music collection into a non-stop playlist, with customizable transitions and effects that will make your car feel more like a club.

Android users can control their music via Bluetooth or plug into the front panel USB port and play music while getting a charge. You can also plug in a thumb drive and enjoy MP3, WMA, and WAV files, or use the aux input to connect an MP3 player or portable satellite radio tuner.

And if you're a Pandora fan, you'll love having the ability to create your own unique stations that play all your favorite kinds of music.

Built-in Bluetooth™

The MVH-X370BT features built-in Bluetooth, so you can enjoy hands-free calling and wireless music streaming on the road. The included external microphone picks up your conversation, and you'll hear your caller through your vehicle's speakers. The dual phone connection lets you pair two phones, while “Guest Mode" allows you to add or replace a mobile device with ease. That's a great feature for a family car with multiple drivers, or one driver with multiple devices.

Pioneer MVH-X370BT Media Receiver

Great looks, cool features, and Bluetooth.

Compact chassis, big performance

With no CD player to worry about, Pioneer's designers were able to fit lots of features into a remarkably compact chassis that will fit into a wide variety of dashboards. Pioneer's powerful MOSFET amplifier gives you outstanding sound, while Advanced Sound Retriever (ASR) technology brings back the details lost when you compress music. A 5-band graphic equalizer lets you adjust the sound to suit your tastes, while a set of RCA preamp outputs allows you to expand your system for maximum performance.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

This digital media receiver will not play CDs. If you want to play CDs in your vehicle, we offer a wide selection of CD receivers.

iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth 3.0: The MVH-X370BT is equipped with built-in Bluetooth (ver. 3.0), allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit.  In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must also be Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles:

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP 1.6 (Hands Free Profile), OPP 1.1 (Object Push Profile), PBAB 1.0 (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP 1.3 (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP 1.5 (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Pioneer MVH-X370BT.

SPP + USB Pairing w/ Guest Mode: With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the MVH-X370BT without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings (your phone must also support SSP). Up to 3 Bluetooth-compatible devices can be paired to this head unit.

    • USB Pairing for iPhone: You can also pair your Apple iPhone (iOS 5.0+) by simply connecting it to the Pioneer head unit via USB and following a single prompt on the head unit's display.
    • Guest Mode: "Guest Mode" allows you to add and replace a 3rd mobile device instantly to the receiver; Guest Mode is a great feature for a family vehicle with multiple drivers or a driver with multiple devices because it allows users to pair and delete devices easily without a lengthy registration or deletion process.
    • Dual Phone Connect: Once the pairing process is complete, the head unit will automatically connect two phones when in the vehicle to make and receive calls and stream music from both mobile devices.

Hands-Free Communication (w/ External Mic): The MVH-X370BT supports wireless hands-free communication (HFP/PBAB) for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. And, thanks to the latest Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.6) with wideband speech capability, the MVH-X370BT provides more natural sound quality and details during wireless calls. The head unit will display the caller's information and an audible ring tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker during an incoming call. You can manually answer an incoming call or have the unit automatically answer the call. The MVH-X370BT allows you to carry on a phone conversation from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone using the head unit's external microphone and your car audio speakers. During a conversation you can adjust the volume, as well as switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode. Using the MVH-X370BT, you can dial a phone number in one of the following ways:

    • Phone Book: The phone book in your Bluetooth enabled cellular phone will be transferred automatically when the phone is paired to this unit. After finding the number you want to call in the phone book from the head unit, you can select the entry and make the call. If a lot of numbers are registered in the phone book, you can search for a phone number by the contact person's name alphabetically (A-Z).
    • Presets: You can easily store up to six phone numbers as presets for speed dialing.
    • Call Log: The most recent calls dialed, received, and missed are stored in memory. You can browse them and call numbers from these lists.
    • Voice Dialing (Siri only): When paired and connected with an iPhone 4S or later via Bluetooth, the Pioneer head unit has the ability to access Siri through its front-panel controls and external microphone. You'll be able to dial a phone number or contact via voice command.
Note: The external microphone provides better performance in noisy environments than the integrated microphone found on the front-panel of many aftermarket or factory radios. The microphone features a 13' cord that plugs into the back of the radio, and comes with an adjustable visor-mount clip. The microphone measures 0.475" (diameter) x 1.445" (depth). The unit is not equipped with an integrated microphone.

Wireless Audio Streaming (w/ Advanced Music Navigation): The Pioneer MVH-X370BT also supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth enabled audio player or smartphone. The head unit can stream music stored on your Bluetooth enabled device or music apps you have downloaded on your device. In addition to basic playback functions (Play/Pause, FF/RW, Skip, Random/Repeat), the MVH-X370BT lets you browse your stored music by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, etc. (AVRCP 1.4+ phones only). The head unit will also display your music's song information; such as Artist name and Song/Album title (app must also support). When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call.

Siri Eyes-Free Control: When paired and connected with an iPhone with Siri via Bluetooth (not USB), the Pioneer MVH-X370BT has the ability to access Siri through its front-panel controls and external microphone. Simply press and hold head unit's phone key to engage Siri and use the included microphone to communicate with Siri. Siri's voice will heard through your vehicle's speakers. All Siri functions including hands-free calling, music search, setting reminders, text-messaging, audible navigation, and more can be done through the MVH-X370BT and its microphone. You can even ask Siri to get directions to a destination and the turn-by-turn instructions will heard through your vehicle's speakers, while the on-screen map still displays on your iPhone with Siri. The head unit's audio is attenuated while Siri provides audible directions.

Note: The head unit's front-panel LCD will only display hands-free calling and Bluetooth audio information (all other functions of Siri are only audible through the Pioneer CD receiver; visual data will still need to be viewed from your iPhone device).
    USB & Android Integration

Front-Panel USB Input (Android Compliant): The digital media receiver's front-panel USB (type-A) port allows you to connect a USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) or USB Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) compliant device; such as your Android smartphone or USB thumbdrive. The USB port enables audio playback & control of MP3, WMA, and WAV audio files stored on your portable USB MSC/MTP device through the Pioneer MVH-X370BT. Basic playback controls included Play/Pause, FW/RW, Previous/Next Track, and Random/Repeat. Song/artist information such as track, artist, and album name will also be displayed on the head unit. In addition, USB devices that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the digital media receiver's USB port (1A) and the vehicle's ignition switch is set to ACC or On.

    • MSC Playback: The Pioneer MVH-X370BT's USB port enables playback & control of MP3/WMA/WAV music files stored on your portable USB MSC device, like your older Android smartphone (w/ OS 2.2+ [Froyo/Gingerbread]) or USB thumbdrive device (up to 32GB) through the head unit.
    • MTP Playback: The MVH-X370BT's USB port also enables playback & control of stored MP3/WMA music files on your portable USB MTP device, like your newer Android smartphone (w/ OS 4.0+ [Ice Cream Sandwich/Jelly Bean/KitKat]) through the Pioneer head unit.
Note: You cannot use your Android smartphone's touchscreen to control music playback and you cannot select music apps from your smartphone for playback. However, you can continue to listen to stored music on your Android smartphone through the head unit while you check your Calendar, Facebook, Texts, etc on your phone.

MP3/WMA/WAV Playback: The Pioneer MVH-X370BT supports the following types of MP3/WMA/WAV files recorded onto CD-R/RW disc or loaded onto a USB MSC/MTP device.

    Media Type CD-R/RW USB (MSC/MTP)
File System ISO9660 Level 1/Level 2, Joliet, Romeo, Long file name FAT 12/16/32
Playable File Types  MP3: bit rate of 8-320 kbps w/ sampling rate of 8-48 kHz
WMA: bit rate of 48-320 kbps w/ sampling rate of 32, 44.1, 48 kHz
WAV: bit rate of 8/16-bit w/ sampling rate of 16-48kHz or 22.05-44.1kHz (not compatible w/ MTP)

Tags ID3 tags (ver.1.0/1.1/2.2/2.3/2.4), WMA tags

USB Playback Features: The Pioneer MVH-X370BT offers file/folder search, song/artist info display, and basic playback control for connected USB MSC & MTP devices, including Android.

    • File/Track Name List: The Name List feature displays a list of MP3/WMA albums and tracks on a connected USB device, so you can easily access your music. Music files are listed first by Artist name, then by Album name, and finally by Song title.
    • Song/Artist Information: During MP3/WMA playback, the unit displays any recorded ID3 Tag (ver. 1.x/2.x) and WMA Tag information; including artist, song, and album name.
    • Playback Controls: The Pioneer digital media receiver provides basic operations like Play/Pause, Fast Forward/Rewind, Previous/Next Track, and Repeat/Random for USB device playback. When a compatible Android smartphone is connected, the head unit will control music playback functions; you will not be able to control your music from the smartphone.

Media App Control (for Android): The Media App Control mode lets you listen to your favorite music apps on your Bluetooth-paired Android smartphone (2.3+) through the Pioneer head unit and your vehicle's speakers. Media App Control lets you take control of compatible music apps on your paired Android device through the Pioneer MVH-X370BT. Media App Control allows you to play, pause, and change tracks from a compatible music app directly from the controls on the Pioneer head unit. The app's name (i.e. "iHeartAuto"), station identification, and song/artist information will be displayed on the head unit's LCD screen (when applicable, depending on app). Auxiliary Input: The MVH-X370BT is equipped with a front-panel 3.5mm stereo minijack auxiliary input for connecting external components, such as a portable MP3 player.

    AM/FM + Pandora Radio

Supertuner IIID AM/FM Tuner: The Supertuner IIID features Feed Forward Control, which avoids multi-path interference. This pre-detection of interference enables quick filter control and results in less distortion. In addition, the Supertuner IIID creates enhanced stereo during multi-path interference, unlike conventional tuners that collapse to mono. Digital processing reduces distortion, and improves Signal-to-Noise Ratio and stereo separation. Advanced analog technology improves signal processing sensitivity.

    • RDS: The Radio Data System (RDS) feature displays radio broadcast information such as artist, title, and album when listening to compatible AM/FM stations.
    • BSM (Best Stations Memory): The BSM (Best Stations Memory) function lets you automatically store the six strongest stations under preset buttons 1-6 of the currently tuned band. The tuner has 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank. You can store 6 presets for each bank giving you a total of 18 FM presets and 6 AM presets.
    • Local Tuning: Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. There are 4 levels of sensitivity for FM and two levels for AM. The higher settings allow reception of only the strongest stations, while lower settings let you receive progressively weaker stations.

Pandora Internet Radio: The free Pandora App (either from iTunes Apps/Google Play) lets you play music from the Pandora music service through the Pioneer MVH-X370BT using your USB-connected Apple iPhone (iOS 5.0+) or Bluetooth paired Android smartphone. Your Apple iPhone must be connected to the MVH-X370BT via the CD-IU51/CD-IU52 Pioneer iPod connector cable or the connector-cable that came with your iPhone. Your Android smartphone must support A2DP/AVRCP/SPP Bluetooth profiles and be paired with the Pioneer receiver. Your iPhone or Android smartphone will also need an active Data Plan account with connection to the Internet via 3G, EDGE, or WiFi. The MVH-X370BT provides control over the Pandora music service and displays Artist, Album, and Song information.

    • Station List: You can select Pandora stations from your Station List by date or alphabetically (A-Z).
    • Shuffle Station List: You can listen to songs played randomly from various stations within your Station List.
    • New Stations + Delete: New stations can be created based on the current songs or artists playing. You can also delete a station from your Pandora station list.
    • Skip Songs: You can skip song tracks within a station. You cannot skip back to a previous song. Pandora limits the number of skips allowed.
    • Thumbs Up/Down: You can give songs a thumbs up or thumbs down to help Pandora personalize stations to suit your preferences.
    • Bookmarking: The song/artist currently being played can be bookmarked & stored in your Pandora account.

Note: Access to the Pandora service will depend on the availability of a cellular and/or WiFi network for purposes of allowing your iPhone to connect to the Internet. Pandora is not supported in Canada & only available in the United States.

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The Pioneer in-dash head unit utilizes a 24-bit digital to analog converter for superior sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The MHV-X370BT is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. The power specifications for the MHV-X370BT are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers.

    • CEA2006 Specs: 14 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Continuous Power Output: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 50Hz-15kHz, 5% THD)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels
Note: The rear speaker outputs can be set to provide full range output with full fading capability, or they can be set to provide non-fading subwoofer (low-pass) output. When the rear speaker outputs are set to subwoofer mode, the rear preamp outputs also switch from full range to subwoofer outputs. When set for subwoofer operation, you can connect the rear speaker leads directly to two small 4-ohm passive subwoofers or a dual voice coil sub with 4-ohm voice coils. If you prefer to use a single 2-ohm subwoofer, you can connect the woofer to one set of speaker leads, leaving the other set of rear leads disconnected. The maximum output provided when a 2-ohm load is connected to one set of leads is 70 watts.

2V/2Ch Preouts + Sub Control: The Pioneer DEH-X2700I features one pair of 2.0-volt preouts. The unit's preouts can be configured as fading rear-channel outputs or non-fading subwoofer outputs. When the head unit's preamp output is configured as a subwoofer output, you can select the frequency of the low pass filter (50Hz, 63Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, or 125 Hz), select the filter slope (-6/-12dB), select the subwoofer phase (normal/reverse), and the subwoofer gain (+6 to -24).

Equalizer: The Pioneer MHV-X370BT features a Preset & Custom EQ. The built-in equalizer offers 7 preset sound modes (Powerful, Dynamic, Vocal, Natural, Custom 1, Custom 2, and Flat) suitable for the music genre of your choice. The two Custom modes allow you to manually adjust the head unit's 5-band EQ (80Hz, 250Hz, 800Hz, 2.5kHz, 8kHz) from +/-6dB. Custom 1 can be set separately for each source (except for USB/iPod/Pandora); while Custom 2 and the other 5 presets are shared settings used for all sources.

High-Pass Crossover: When you don't want low-frequency sound to be heard through your front or rear speakers, you can simply active the head unit's HPF (high pass filter). By activating the HPF, only frequencies higher than those in the selected range are output from the front or rear speakers. The high pass filter crossover can be set to 50Hz, 63Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 125Hz, 160hz, 200Hz or Off. The slope level of the HPF can also be adjusted to -6dB or 12dB.

Advanced Sound Retriever: The Advanced Sound Retriever automatically enhances compressed audio and restores the original richness of the recording. Hear the detail, warmth, and clarity, the way the artist intended it, from all of your highly compressed MP3 and WMA files stored on your USB device, iPod/iPhone, and portable media players. By restoring data (especially higher frequencies) that tends to get lost in the digital compression process, Pioneer's Advanced Sound Retriever technology enhances audio reproduction nearly all the way up to 20 kHz frequencies

Audio Level Settings: The Pioneer MHV-X370BT digital media receiver offers a variety of audio settings to tailor the bass, treble, and volume level to your preference.

    • Bass Boost The MHV-X370BT features a bass boost function which can be used to enhance low-frequency bass sound. The bass boost function can be set between 0-6.
    • Loudness: The Loudness feature compensates for deficiencies in the low and high sound ranges at low volume. You can set the Loudness feature to Low, Mid, High, or Off.
    • Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function lets you adjust the volume level of each source to prevent radical changes in volume when switching between sources. Settings are based on the volume level of the FM tuner, which remains unchanged. Each source can be independently adjusted from -4dB to +4dB.

MIXTRAX: Drawing from Pioneer's rich DJ heritage and passion for music, MIXTRAX delivers a unique DJ infused listening experience to listeners in the car. MIXTRAX is an innovative Pioneer technology that creates a non-stop mix of your music library complete with a range of DJ-inspired effects. MIXTRAX takes your typical music listening experience and creates a non-stop mix of your music with 9 random DJ effects and transitions, by removing the breaks and pauses normally introduced between tracks and replacing them with various beats. MIXTRAX is compatible with USB-connected iPhone, iPod, USB MSC device, and select Android devices. There is also a Short Playback option which limits the amount of time each track plays; select from 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, or 3 minutes.

Note: The MIXTRAX function does not work in App mode or with the Pandora App for iPod/iPhone, and is not supported by USB MTP devices. The Advanced Sound Retriever function is disabled when MIXTRAX is activated.

    Display Features

Detachable Face Security: The Pioneer MHV-X370BT in-dash CD receiver features detachable face security. No face case is included with this unit. An optional soft face case (142DFC1X, sold separately) can be purchased for this unit. A face-fixing screw is supplied for making the face non-detachable, if desired.

LCD w/ LED Backlight: The MHV-X370BT features a single-line, multi-segmented LCD with LED backlight that offers a black background and white alphanumeric character text (up to 12 characters). You can adjust the brightness (1-10) of the display according to the surrounding illumination.

MIXTRAX Illumination: MIXTRAX features a club-style illumination that enhances the mood with a dynamic dance club-like lighting effect. As MIXTRAX begins, lights start pulsing to the beat of the music, adding an extra level of entertainment. You can choose different patterns of lighting variations from sound pressure level or low-pass synchronization modes. The lighting effects work like a spectrum analyzer, reaching peak colors based on the intensity of the music.

Clock Display: When the Clock Display has been turned on, pressing and holding the "SRC" button turns off audio output, but the clock display and button illumination remains on (you can press the "Dimmer" button to turn off). When the Clock Display has been turned off, pressing and holding the "SRC" button turns the unit off completely. Even if you have turned the radio completely off you can view the clock display by pressing the "Dimmer" button. The clock will then remain On until you turn it back Off. When the unit is On, you can select between the clock display or the audio track/tuner display.

Demo Mode: This unit features a Demo mode which can be turned On/Off within the menu.

    Remote Control

Wireless Remote Control: The MVH-X370BT comes with an IR wireless remote control. The remote allows you to control the volume, switch between sources, pause playback, skip music tracks, change display info, and answer/end Bluetooth phone call. You can also mute the volume (function that cannot be performed from the front panel).

Steering Wheel Remote Compatibility: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input on the rear of the unit that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately). Please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to see if your vehicle is compatible.

It's a separate corded mic that plugs into the back of the unit. You can put it anywhere you want, the cord is very long. It has a clip to put it on your headliner or visor etc.

Not sure about powering the sub from the head unit. It does have RCA plugs and a control wire. You can also change many of the subs settings from the unit as well. Do a search for the manual online if you can.

I have this radio installed to a custom radio box that has a 4 channel amp and 4 6x9 speakers. This box was loud and sounded amazing. I didn't use it for about a month and now the volume is about half???? I've also exchanged the radio for another mvh-x370bt and still the same issue. What more can I do? I don't want to return, I want to fix. Thanks

Will this be able to power 4 speakers that run 40 rms without an amplifier?
    alan  Mar 07, 2015
    2 answers
    A
Should be fine for that use. RMS is a bit of a moving target these days from manufacturer to manufacturer. If you play it too loudly tho (especially if you are driving to distortion at high volumes) on a 40 watt RMS speaker you could run the risk of blowing up a speaker or two. Normal listening should be just fine. Distortion is usually what damages speakers more than anything else.

I'm not sure which equalizer band and level to set?
    phil  Feb 28, 2015
    2 answers
    A
The best way I know to answer this is to have you think in terms of how this is designed. So if you just had bass and treble controls you could consider that a "two band" equalizer. Bass/Middle/Treble, three band...with 5 band think of that as Low Bass (80hz), Mid Bass (250Hz), Mid (800Hz), Mid Treble (2.5Khz) and Treble (8Khz) . Form that point you can do some tuning to find what you like. I might suggest a starting point of +2, +1, 0, +1, +2 (going from 80Hz thru to 8Khz) and then adjust one parameter at a time. Some trial and error is required here.

I have a 2000 Lexus RX 300 which has an amplifier built in and had a small woofer under the front passenger seat. I took the woofer out and put in a Lazar Vector V CTBS8 sbwover. I also replaced the front door speakers with Pioneer speakers.. I also had to buy an aftermarket stereo dash adapter which replaces the plastic around the gear shifter. You have to leave the old stereo in since it has heater contour on it. To wire it , you have to attach the speaker wires to the input of the amp that is down under behind the rear seat. I actually traced those wires to a more convenient place to hook into them. It sounds great and a good listening volume for me is 15 to 20. I have my music on my phone and I Bluetooth in to the steroe. You can also amply the phone & _tweak it with an soft equalizer. I love it and it suits me perfect.

Google operating systems do not interact with this system directly. But Google's Android and Apple's IOS smart phones using Bluetooth Will stream music through the unit so you can listen to music in the car. You can also control the music players on the smart phones like play, pause, skip, repeat, shuffle etc. Pandora app can be controlled on the unit also (it is a little buggy but it may just be my HTC One Max and the unit having issues) IHeart radio can be played as well as some other music streaming service apps. The unit has a mode called app mode in the selection some apps can be controlled with this mode. And then there is the usual Bluetooth phone connectivity on Apple or Android phones good sound clarity and has a good microphone no one problems hearing me in my 2001 XJ Jeep Cherokee. If you are looking for a single din unit with smartphone control this will do. It works with my HTC One Max Android smartphone ( as I said before the Pandora control is a little bit buggy) but streaming music from phone to stereo sounds great a whole lot better than the stock unit. Oh I don't if you checked the specs or not but this unit has no CD player built in. It is a complete digital media unit, SD cards, flash drives, aux Jack etc. I hope that I answered your question for you I know how hard it is to chose a good head unit.

It's fairly easy to install for someone with a bit of mechanical ability. A pro should be able to install it in a hour's shop time.
    john  Feb 18, 2015

This depends on several factors, the main one is the type of vehicle you have. Some vehicles are more difficult than others to install a new deck, and some vehicles nowadays require interface modules or other parts to integrate with low-voltage systems and electrical accessories such as OnStar or Ford Sync. The Crutchfield Master Sheets I have seen have all been very accurate and complete. The Crutchfield Technical Support staff are very knowledgeable and are always there to help you out with any problems as well. If you encounter a problem with installation or operation of the new deck, chances are pretty good the Tech Support folks have helped someone else with a similar problem and they will have the answer for you. Plus there are probably You Tube videos and online forums for your specific vehicle where you can find directions as well. If you are fairly mechanically inclined and have a good basic tool set you probably could do the installation yourself without too much trouble. If your vehicle is more difficult or takes more technical expertise than you feel comfortable with, it could be a good idea to have a good local independent car audio shop do the work for you. However, it is best to ask friends and colleagues and check online reviews before selecting a shop to do the job. The better ones will have the better reputations and they will do their very best to do a good job for you. Prices for professional installation will vary depending on where you live. I do not know about other parts of the country but most shops here in Central Florida charge about $35.00 to $45.00 for the labor to install a new deck, plus the cost of any dash installation kit, wire harness or any other parts you may need. The free parts from Crutchfield are top quality and can definitely help cut down your installation cost. Some parts you may need are not free, but Crutchfield sells them at a very fair price. Crutchfield's advisors can provide more info on the parts you may need.
    james f  Feb 17, 2015
    A
That's a hard question. If you can follow directions, and have some mechanical and electrical skills it's a pretty easy instal. It will depend on the vehicle it's going in and the difficulty that particular vehicle presents.
    melvin  Feb 16, 2015
    A
I installed it myself, and I am not particularly talented at any sort of electrical work or handy work in general. I learned how to do basic soldering in order to install it, but you could just as easily use plastic crimp connectors to attach the wires to one another. Connecting the wires is really the only part that could be slightly difficult. It might take a little time, but I think pretty much anyone could do this installation.

No, it will not play any type of CD disk. You can only play music (other than the radio) by either streaming music to it from a bluetooth-enabled smartphone, mp3-player, etc. OR by directly connecting your smartphone, mp3 player, etc. via a USB cable OR an mp3 auxillary cable. If you use the USB cable, this will also allow you to charge the battery on your smartphone/other device while playing music from it through your stereo system.

My husband I both have iPhones. I've got a 4s and he's got a 6. Sometimes for no apparent reason the stereo quits transmitting audio on calls. Then for no apparent reason, it will start again. There is an audio source button that pops up on my phone when I send or receive a call while connected to bluetooth, but even with the stereo selected as the audio source, we get no audio. We can place a call, but we can't hear the call going out or the person answering. Since we tested this with our home number, I know the call is actually happening - just can't hear anything. Any idea what I'm doing wrong??

I have a Galaxy S4 so am unfamiliar with the Iphone, but my first question would be does your phone work OK with any other Bluetooth system, like in a friend's car? That would be a good way to start isolating the problem. I would also say be sure your phone and operating platform are up to date, also be sure the Bluetooth Audio function on your 370BT is enabled. If the deck and phone look like they have all the correct settings enabled it could be a malfunction in the deck itself. The 370BT is pretty simple to operate and the Bluetooth usually works very well so maybe you could check with Apple first and if the phone is configured correctly for Bluetooth then you can check with Crutchfield Tech Support, they can definitely help you and probably exchange the deck if need be.

The Pioneer MVH-X370BT does not have HD radio, but is great if you use Pandora on a smartphone. My previous stereo did have HD, but it was useless in my area. Reception was really spotty unless I drove closer to San Francisco. Then the radio reception was good and had clear clean sound. So unless you live in an area that is close enough to receive a clear HD signals, getting an HD radio is a waste of money.

Issue I'm having is with a Galaxy S5 phone with this radio. When connected to bluetooth and streaming audio I am able to listen and stream music perfectly. This is using the stock 'music' app that came with the phone. I am also able to skip forward and back to next/previous song. What I can NOT do is use the 'search' button on the Radio to see the list of other artists or albums (files or folders). So I am stuck playing just the first album on my phone every time. Any ideas or suggestions on how to see and access 'all' my music using the radio controls? According to the manual that came with the radio I should be able to use the search button to do this. Thanks for any help.

I am thinking it might have to do with your phone. I have an iphone5, and am able to search without any issues. I am not familiar enough with the Galaxy5 to know if there is a setting that needs to be adjusted. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I have found that the problem lies in the Adroid version in my Galaxy S5. Android 4.4.2 uses what is known as AVRCP protocol 1.3 which allows for fast forward rewind and artist/song info on screen. AVRCP 1.4 or 1.5 allows searching next album/folder through Bluetooth. Until Android is updated to include 1.4 or 1.5 Galaxy users are out of luck. Thanks for the help.

I have an iphone 6 -- so a phone that came to the market after the receiver. Here are some things you might try based upon my own "trial and error" experiences -- 1. Pull the fuse that powers the radio. Wait a couple of minutes and reinstall. This basically resets the receiver. Initially, I had limited functionality when I got my new phone and synched to the receiver. It was good enoough but eventually I did this and when I reconnected my phone, I had full functionality. 2.Using the app function on the receiver to stream audio (while connectied to bluetooth an/or while connected through USB). If a call comes in, the receiver will go to phone mode. Good luck.

Hey Siri will only work over the iPhone's mic as the BT mic isn't constantly listening. If you pause after "Hey Siri" until you here the Siri listening sound then the BT mic should be engaged.
