Siri Eyes Free, at your command

If you rely on your iPhone® and Siri, Pioneer's DEH-X6700BS CD receiver gives you a convenient Bluetooth® connection, so you can ask Siri to make calls, select and play music, compose and hear text messages, read notifications, even use maps and get directions — all commanded by your voice through your stereo. It can make your drive safer and more productive.

Add a SiriusXM tuner for programming variety

The entertainment variety of satellite radio makes it indispensable to truckers, RV owners, and other road warriors. With this Pioneer, you can add an optional tuner to access SiriusXM's impressive lineup with your receiver's controls. With your SiriusXM subscription, you'll enjoy hundreds of channels, covering the gamut of music, news, talk, sports, comedy, and much more.

Built-in Bluetooth

This versatile Pioneer allows you to answer a phone call with the push of a button. You'll talk as if your caller is sitting next to you, freeing up your hands and letting you concentrate on the drive. The DEH-X6700BS supports Bluetooth audio streaming too, so you can stream music wirelessly from compatible devices to the receiver, plus control basic functions like "track up" or "track down."

Plenty of media options

The front-panel USB input allows you to connect your iPod® or iPhone®, then access your playlists with the Pioneer's controls. You'll also enjoy control over your favorite Pandora® stations from the receiver with your iPhone or Android device. You can use the USB input to tap into the music files stored on many Android devices, and the front aux input handles just about any other audio source.

Pioneer DEH-X6700BS

You customize the display and control colors of the DEH-X6700BS to match your taste.

Turn on the color

The DEH-X6700BS CD receiver spans the color spectrum with a multi-color, dual-zone display that lets you choose from thousands of colors for the display and controls — you can even choose different colors for each. MIXTRAX adds to the fun by adding transitions between songs along with a light show that pulses and changes color with the beat of the music. It's like having your own DJ riding shotgun.

Tailor the sound

Pioneer's potent MOSFET amplifier delivers plenty of punch, while the 5-band EQ lets you tweak the sound as much as you want. Three sets of preamp outputs make it easier to add external amplifiers or a powered sub.

Want to keep your steering wheel controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

    Why replace your factory radio?

Two good reasons - sound quality and cool features. A new car stereo offers power that's superior to most factory radios, along with more sophisticated tone controls. And most car stereos offer built-in or optional features that add safety and fun to life in your car, including inputs for your iPod or MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free cell phone calls, satellite radio or HD Radio reception, and connections for building an audio system in your car.

First of all, this is a great company!!!! I am loosing count of how many stereos I have purchased from this company now and I am sure it won't be the last. As for the product, I am old enough to know how much it used to cost for a pioneer 8 track or cassette stereo radio back in the day. No blue tooth, Sirius who? Remote? Car phone? Microphone? Usb? Iphone what? Custom in dash kit and tech service delivered to your door for $114? You gotta be kidding me! I remember paying $600 for a 6 CD changer installed in the 90's! Ok so this is not even the best system offered by pioneer but it is good enough and packed with features.

Pros: Blue Tooth cell technology. Real condenser mic that doesn't sound like crud. Pioneer has one of the most user friendly remotes out there. Easy to visualize in your mind without looking at the buttons as long as you have it right side up. I don't use the Sirius radio because I already own so much music on my thumbnail USB that I could listen to music from the west to east coast and never hear the same song twice. I purchased this system specifically for the phone, USB, Radio, remote and EQ.

Cons: If you are looking for high out put it isn't here but this system is easily upgraded through jacks in the back. A built in mic would have been nice rather than a cabled mic woven under the dash but that isn't a complaint, I'm just spoiled. I have been use to layered digital menus for everything for quite sometime now: Digital recording & mixing etc. but I still like something tactile better. EQ that you can see and adjust right now without flipping through layers of digital back and forth.

Wanting a unit with Bluetooth, I replaced the factory radio with this one. What I didn't expect was the boost in performance. Is always blamed the speakers in my Camry for the dull sound I had been experiencing. But, it appears the problem was the factory radio.

Install was easy enough. YouTube videos were very helpful.

Pros: Great price. Great sound. Attractive. Easy install.

Cons: USB port doesn't charge my phone. Menu navigation pretty complex.

This radio paired easily and quickly with my iPhone 6. It even made my stock Bose speakers sound wonderful (which I almost bought new ones due to poor sound quality and no bass, but I guess the stock radio was the weakest link there). I love the ever changing colors on the radio and the many ways from which I can play music from my phone. It's really nice that my boyfriend can play music from his android phone or his jumpdrive, too! I was weary at first but I am extremely glad and relieved that I bought this radio!!

Pros: Pairing, looks great, brings high sound quality, works well with my steering wheel controls, various ways to listen to my jams

Cons: Pandora app opens automatically, but that feature can be turned off. I'm an iHeart Radio kind of lady ;)

I wanted Bluetooth audio in my 1998 BMW M3. I was able to install the Pioneer HU quickly and easily. My biggest concern was matching the BMW amber color. The custom color feature allowed me to match it perfectly. The bluetooth audio works flawlessly. The sound improvement was stunning. Better bass, crisp highs and vocals seemed to stand-out more, and that was before I tweaked the audio settings.

Pros: Excellent audio. Display and button color matching. Bluetooth works flawlessly. Easy to install with kit provided.

Cons: Faceplate removal is awkward. You have to push button to eject and lightly lift bottom right corner. Too light or too firm and it won't detach.

I bought this unit myself so everything I say will be from my eperiences uses it.

Sound quality: Annoying. If you try raising the volume you will surely go deaf. There is no direct way to turn down the treble. The unit itself makes a very hard to deal with sound because it makes the higher notes impossible to avoid. My factory radio does a better job with sound quality, it even has a treble reduced knob. I would think the goal of a good sounding speaker is how loud can I hear the music without going deaf from the high noises. I was very frusturated with the radio because of this. It has so many options but didnt take the time to give direct control over the treble. Everything else: The rest about the radio is great! Of course this doesnt really matter anymore because its sound is trash but I will take the time to say that it looks cool, its easy to install (if you know how to deal with wiring wires properly), and it fits great.

    Pros:

Cons: Sound. No way to turn up volume past a certain, which is way to low, point without being annoyed by its deafening treble.

Need I say more Pioneer and Crutchfield!

The unit is so good I bought two off them! After installing it in my car and loving it so much I purchased another one for my son as a gift.

Pros: Crutchfield sales service and reputation! Crutchfield adding the install kit and assembly instructions for your vehicle with the purchase. A worry free purchase. Pioneer's quality, value and sound wrapped up in one package! Pioneer added the right features that people use and not useless fluff that looks impressive on paper.

Cons: The display writing was a little better quality. You can't use the units mic to make a call. To many buttons to push to get to some features. Lack of grip on the volume knob on the outside perimeter would help with ease of control. Not a problem if you have steering wheel controls.

This is an excellent head unit for the money. The internal amp sounds good powering 4 4x6 speakers in my 1990 GMC Truck. The 4V preouts send a very clean signal to the external amps. Front 1/8 jack and USB ports along with Bluetooth make connecting almost any device simple. This vehicle has a depth problem for aftermarket head units, may won't fit. This one did, so for those with limited space behind the mounting location, put this on your short list.

There is optional SiriusXM, but I passed since this is more of a show truck than a daily driver, so no comment there. I haven't used the mic to make calls yet, so I also can't comment there.

    Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Pros: Value, Ease of Use, Feature Set

Cons: Bluetooth is finicky with my iPhone 5s.

I only buy Pioneer radios for the fact that they are easy to use and they give you the most bang for your buck as far as clarity. Yes other radios will give you more loudness but this is way more clear then any other system.

Pros: Easy to install and easy to use and figure out.

Cons: Can't really see it in the day time even with the brightness up but this is the down fall of most aftermarket radios.

This is the second Pioneer DEH-X6700BS I own. I believe there's a newer version but this model worked out so well in my rugged Jeep, that now there's one in my Blazer. For both my vehicles, my primary objective is to have an iPhone hands free connection via blue tooth and this model does that superbly. I set it up once and that's it, connection is all automatic thereafter. No fussing around, I just start the car and drive while my iPhone connects for phone communications and any other iPhone GPS or audio I need. Plus, this model provides many other powerful audio features and options with such an ease of use. If I get another car, This will be the audio head I purchase for it and you can bet the purchase will be from Crutchfield because they also include the correct installation kit and convenient customer assistance from their data base of years of experience and insight. I always thought purchasing from Crutchfield would cost more but, I recently found out otherwise that it actually costs less with more gained. Many thanks go to Crutchfield Sales and Tech. Support for all of your help and follow up.

Pros: Wonderful Audio, easy setup for blue tooth hands free. Has an external mic with a long lead and the remote control makes adjustments easy while driving, especially over road bumps.

Cons: I have no complaints regarding the unit or it's setup and use. Though I feel, Pioneer could be a bit more direct in their wiring schematic with regards to the color coding. It's all in there though but, you have to decipher it in several areas. Also, I think Pioneer can build this unit smaller (depth wise) so that it fits more vehicles without changing or altering factory dash brackets and configurations.

Doesn't fit in a 2004 jeep rubicon if you plan on using siriusxm. The bracket that holds in the factory radio is in the way when you plug in the siriusxm adapter which makes the radio stick out about 1/4 inch. Besides that it's a nice radio just don't recommend for a 2004 jeep rubicon

This is my 3rd Pioneer receiver (BT6400-BT6500) and I am more than happy with it. I may be slightly biased as far as the installation and operation due to other Pioneer products I own. When looking for a BT receiver I prefer the external microphone for sound quality. Having the rear plug for the remote makes it easy to add a steering wheel control interface. The receiver is a solid performer (IMHO)

Pros: Ext. Microphone, being able to match display color to the vehicle, ease of use and multiple configurations

Cons: None so far, I don't expect any.

This was an upgrade from the jeep factory radio....Id forgotten just how good audio could be, the quality is just amazing for the value. The install went easily, Crutchfield was there for my one question. My only issue was with Sirius xm, it took almost as long as the installation to activate the radio. Very happy with this choice!

Pros: High quality product and service

Purchased this CD Receiver to replace stock radio in my 2007 Durango. Crutchfield support was awesome! It has been a long time since I swapped out a radio. When I was done I still had my steering wheel controls and the bluetooth worked well. After the initial install everything it took some time to get the settings right for using my iPhone. Pairing the phone was easy. But to use the audio (iTunes, Pandora, etc.) you have to turn on BTAUDIO. After I got everything set up I made my first bluetooth phone call. Call dialed and connected with no problem. Folks on the other end could hear me crystal clear but I couldn't hear them. Turns out that with this vehicle the wiring is slightly different. I found the solution on the web and Crutchfield confirmed that the white wires from the receiver go to the green wires on the interface and the gray wires from the receiver go to the purple wires on the interface. Took extra time to uninstall, rewire and reinstall but once it was back in it worked perfectly.

Pros: Great sound, relatively easy to install, works well with the Iphone

Cons: Wiring was different for my vehicle. Would have been nice to know up front.

This is a great radio for my 1997 Jeep Cherokee. Even with the original stock speakers, the sound quality is superb and adding the connectivity for modern devices makes my favorite car even more fun to drive.

Pros: It's really intuitive to use in my opinion, easy to see in the dark, and great as a hands-free phone. It downloads contacts from the phone and allows me to control music tracks from the radios controls.

Great replacement for my 2002 Tahoe's stock radio. Installation was easy and the free installation gear worked great. The toughest part was fishing the microphone wire through the console. I also replaced the stock subwoofer with a Kicker 40CWS82 and the front and rear door speakers with Kenwood KFC-P709PS component speakers. The stock amp still works and the sound is simply amazing.

Easy to install in an Audi A3. I never knew I had a sub-woofer and the sound is amazing. The Crutchfield support staff is excellent. I soldered connections and used shrink wrap. My install could not have been done via the instructions that came with the adapters as the Crutchfield support told me the correct fuse to use in order to bring power to the unit from the fuse bay.

Pros: Sounds great and solved my Bluetooth needs. The phone mic was an unexpected bonus. I hang the mic somewhere in front of me and it works great when making calls.

I put this radio in my 1999 Chevy Silverado. Should have done it a long time ago. Easy install and sounds great. Put in Kicker speakers with it. A few people complained about the display brightness and while it is a little dim when it is sunny out, still readable however, it should not deter you from buying this radio.

Installed this little over a week ago with no problems. Was able to find some vids on youtube to install mic under headliner and side panels. I have used an Iphone and USB 64Gb Micro drive to play music and audio books. Tuner picks up our rual radio station fine. Display can be set for just about any color as well as the face plate, or you can leave it to rotate through the colors. According to manual, only 2 Bluetooth devices can be managed without issues, will handle a 3rd, but may have issues. I have not confermed this as of yet. Siri does works well as you use the MF Dial to activate.

Pros: Everyting that it avertised works well and I didn't need to read the manual to learn how to use it. Kids love the Color changing aspects. I love the way everyting works.

Cons: Detachable face is dificult to remove in my install. The Dash kit is a little too snug. But that must be my doing.

All of my desired features for a relatively low cost. Only drawback is that I wish the display screen was a bit more legible in bright daylight. I do think the Display Information options could be more robust (i.e. When listening to the radio I want the option to see the radio broadcast information at least once while being able to see the clock. It seems that when the Broadcast Info is selected, you can't see the clock. You can only see the clock when you have the FM Frequency/Signal strength options are selected).

I bought this receiver to replace a 14+ year factory unit. I should have replaced it far sooner. It's so nice to be able to have integrated Pandora and Bluetooth for phone. The call quality is great. Although I know some people need a long wire for mic, I wish there was some way to adjust the length -- perhaps through a removable extension? I know the removable face is limiting, but it might be nice to have connector in front of the unit, instead of the rear. Color adjustment is nice, in that I matched the existing color of my dashboard colors well. I don't like the font of the screen, but it does provide some good info on what's playing. Pandora doesn't seem to like "thumbing down" while your Android phone's screen is locked.

    Pros: Pandora, Bluetooth, personalization

Cons: Microphone wire length/connector in back, lots of wiring connectors for first-time/novice installer

Best radio I have ever installed ( and there's been quite a few over the years) The crutch field installation kit made installation enjoyable!

Pros: great sound out of the box with stock speakers. Looks great Bluetooth

Cons: it sounds so good in my 98 Chevy truck my wife wants one in her Hyundai lol.

    Well worth it

A really nice head unit. Replaced factory stereo in my 94 Silverado standard cab - what a difference. Paired it with 2 way 4x6 Pioneers in the dash, factory pillar speakers behind and an SSL LoPro8 sub under the passenger seat. Yes, I'll replace the pillar speakers, but this unit really made them sound MUCH cleaner and they're much less of an "ear sore" than I thought they'd be. Head unit has plenty of power, good granular controls, sounds nice and clean, and as a plus, it's a nice looking head unit as well. Had to get rid of the annoying color changes for the lighting and the display is a little hard to see in the brightness of daylight, but other than that no complaints at all. Unfortunately, the only place in the truck to install it necessitates the use of the remote for most of the fiddling about with it, but remote is easy, intuitive and has plenty of functionality, so that's really not an issue. So, 5 star for value, sound quality and ease of use. 4 star for "coolness" because it's really just a basic single-din unit, functional but not flashy (which is what I wanted). It's only been installed for a week, so I'm not sure about build quality, but I've used Pioneer head units for over 25 years and they've ALWAYS been well built. They've never let me down - thus the 5 stars.

Pros: Clarity of sound; audio customization; features (especially sub controls and HPF); ease of use; intuitive and easy to use remote; low-level RCA plugs in the back for the sub.

Cons: Thus far, none to speak of other than the aforementioned random color changes that are there by default. Once my choice of color was locked in, that ceased to be an issue. Display kind of dim during the brightness of day. Manual is vague.

    Good for the price

Good unit for the price. Only complaints are that the menu is a little confusing and that the main screen lighting is too dim even at full brightness while the decorative lighting is way too bright. There are not separate controls for the brightness.

    Pros: Great Bluetooth, good value

Cons: screen too dim, decorative lighting is too bright

The unit was pretty straight forward install the instructions were basic. I have better than average mechanical and electrical experience do to my occupation.and if you don't have experience cutting and splicing wires it may be a bit much for you. Tech help is your friend. I like the functionality of this deck. I don't use Apple products but the USB port supports my 32 gig. card. I wish it had an alphabetical folder search function built in but it does not unless you use an I-Phone. The displace is very bright in the dim mode while using the manual dim. I wished it dimmed with the dimmer switch like the other lights in my truck. Navigating the setup menu takes some getting used to a and the user guide leave a lot to be desired but after playing with it you kind of catch on. Over all worth the investment

Pros: Good sound Plenty of functionality Customization Looks

Cons: User guide is weak Dim Control No Folder alphabetical search function

I am very satisfied, once again, by this Pioneer head unit. Every time I purchase Pioneer, I am impressed by the number of options available across their model range. This particular unit has everything I wanted: built-in Bluetooth, mp3 connectivity, clear graphics, fantastic EQ (as usual), and some new features. One of the best new features is the automatic Bluetooth pairing function. My other vehicle has Bluetooth as well, but like many others, it requires clunky searches and codes to pair with phones, and it only allows one phone at a time. This unit performed flawlessly when connecting iPhones via the Pioneer USB cable; two phones were connected, and within seconds the unit had downloaded phonebooks and call history without prompting any input from the user. Did I mention you can have two phones connected simultaneously?? Thank you so much Pioneer! I'm also stoked about the rotating color; very refreshing one the eyes not to stare at the same color all the time. Thank you for continuing to include a remote with Pioneer head unit as well!!

Overall, the unit was a snap to install too! Enough said.

The only gripe I have is the front USB connection. I have never liked this feature on any head unit. My older Pioneer head units all had rear connections, and I really appreciated being able to hide my iPod in the glove compartment, away from prying eyes. This front connection basically screams to thieves; "Hey, come steal my gear because it's half-way decent

Pros: Direct USB Bluetooth Pairing Two Phone Connection Rotating Display Colors Bangin' EQ Easy Install Voice Command Very Affordable Tons of Features

    Cons: Front USB Connection (BOO!)

Purchased this stereo for an older Toyota Rav4 and wow am I impressed. The Rav4 had a very old Pioneer stereo that had a CD that wouldn't eject and didn't have good sound coming from the stereo. After the stereo was installed, I was pleased to see a very cool stereo distributing awesome sound to all the speakers. As a result of this purchase, i'll also be buying front speakers.

    Pros: Bluetooth, Soundquality

    Cons:

I've had this receiver for about a week now and absolutely love it. Given the price, I'm pretty away by all it can do. And the hands free is a nice feature, especially with Siri. I gave it a 4 star only because I'm not overly impressed with the built-in EQ. It's pretty thin and the sound sculpting isn't exceptionally accurate. But, use one of their presets, make some minor tweaks, adjust your sub, and you're good to go with decent sound quality. One other thing, I've read were some were complaining about brightness of the screen. The unit has enough tweaks between screen color and brightness, that I had no problem finding a setting that works fine during the day.

Pros: Too many to mention. You get a lot for your money.

Cons: EQ settings could be better.

I've had this installed for about a week. Installation instructions not well written not really showing the necessity or how to remove the trim plate. After installing this radio during the day, I had to wait until night-time to set up the radio because the display is really washed out in bright sunlight. I set the display brightness to the highest setting and it's still difficult to read during sunlight. The radio sounds fine and plays the music from my Iphone though I haven't found the way to display the playlists on the radio from my Iphone. The Albums display but not playlists. Directions on how to set up display brightness, colors, and other things really aren't good. How about some videos to show the setups?

Pros: Radio and bluetooth music sounds great. Haven't used a CD yet or a USB flash drive. Iphone phone calls have quality sound-Microphone works great.

Cons: At this point in time, I still need to control playlists through the Iphone. All directions are terrible. Display lighting is too dim during bright sunlight hours. Location of main dial seems awkward because, when I use my hand to press or turn the dial, my hand blocks the display so I can't see what I've dialed up and since the display moves so quickly from option to option, it's easy to miss the option you want to choose.
