Overview: This is an accessory
phone that must be used with the Panasonic MultiTalk Giga-range phones. The
models that the KX-TGA270S is compatible with are: KX-TG2700, 2720, 2730, and
the 2740. It is not a stand alone cordless phone. In order to operate the
accessory phone, it first must be registered to a MultiTalk phone unit.
The handset has a non-retractable antenna that is 2.576" long.
If this phone is registered to either the KX-TG2720 or the 2740, you
will have access to both lines.
Speed Dial: If
this accessory phone is registered to the KX-TG2700 or KX-TG2730, you
can store a total of 10 telephone numbers of up to 22 digits on the handset.
handset has an illuminated keypad, with a 4-line backlit LCD display. During a
call, the display will show the name, number, date, duration, and time of the
call. You can adjust, from 6 different levels, the contrast of the LCD.
The size of the handset is W=2.121" H=9.511"(including antenna)
You also can page the base from the handset, or if there are additional handsets
registered, you can intercom another handset by entering that handset's
Headset Jack: Allows you to have "hands-free"
conversations. The headset is optional.
There is a speakerphone on the handset.
volume controls: You
have the ability to adjust volume levels on the handset for both the handset and
the handset's speakerphone. For the handset, you can choose from 3 levels and
for the speakerphone you have 6 levels of volume control.
Allows you to answer a call by lifting the handset off the base unit. This
feature is selectable.
Call Waiting Caller ID: See
name and phone number of an incoming call, even while you are on another call. Note:
This requires a subscription to the service through your local telephone service
the caller's name and number on the 4-line LCD. Up to 50 numbers can be stored
and retrieved at the touch of a button. Each additional handset
can have its own directory.
directory sharing: Only available if more than one
handset is registered to the base. Allows you to add one handset's directory to
another handset, without erasing the directory presently on the second handset.
Caller ID List: Will
tell you who called, when, and how many times someone called. Up to 50 different
callers can be stored. Any number from this list can be stored into the
Ringer Volume Control:
You can adjust the volume of the ringer: High, Medium, Low, and Off.
Tone: You can
choose the ringer tone for each line for the handset or the base, individually,
from 6 different ringer patterns for external calls.
list: The last 5
numbers dialed from the handset are stored in memory and can be accessed for
calling: While you are talking with an outside caller,
you can call the base or other registered handsets and make a conference call. A
maximum of five parties including the outside party can take part in a
booster: Allows for improved sound quality on the
handset when using the phone in an area with interference.
monitor feature: This feature allows you to monitor a
room through either the base or another handset, just by calling that extension.
You can defeat this feature at each handset if so desired.
radio mode: Only available when more one handset is
registered to the base. Gives you the ability to communicate with any other
handsets in the system without going through the base unit interface. This is a
selectable feature. Note: When this mode is on, the handsets can only be used
for 2-way communication.
The belt clip attaches to the back of the phone so that you can hook it to your
