JL 13TW5v2 subwoofer

JL Audio technology enables this shallow 13.5" sub to take up less room with its perfectly-matched enclosure.

Immense bass

JL Audio used their extensive engineering know-how to build a super-thin subwoofer that offers big performance. Their engineers managed to compress the sub's motor structure into a shallow package without losing the excursion needed to create big bass. And for you, that means impressive performance in a slender package.

This PowerWedge houses one 13.5" TW5v2 subwoofer that pounds out impressive low end, handling up to 600 watts RMS. The enclosure is matched to the sub for optimum output, and the airtight sealed design delivers powerful, accurate bass.

Enclosure assembly at JL Audio factory

JL Audio enclosures are machine-cut and assembled by hand at their Florida plant.

Solid MDF enclosure

JL Audio uses state-of-the-art automated woodworking equipment to fabricate the high-quality MDF enclosure. Their V-Groove® construction provides you rigid box joints that won't leak air or resonate. They finish the enclosure with rugged automotive carpeting, 5-way binding post terminals, and solid internal wiring. The enclosure is inspected by hand at the manufacturing facility in Florida to ensure that you get the bass that you expect from JL Audio.

Q
What J.L. amp can I use ? High end..I need two of these subwoofer. Going on a 57 Chevy truck. Also looking at the 6x9 Evolution speakers.
junior  Feb 21, 2024
1 answer
A
If you plan to use dual JL Audio CS113TG-TW5v2 subwoofers in your hot rod truck build Jose, the best configuration would be wiring them in series to present a 4-ohm load to a compatible mono subwoofer amplifier. They can handle a maximum of 600-watts RMS each, and the JL Audio RD1500/1 below will deliver around 375-watts to each speaker which would provide excellent sound quality and performance without overpowering. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13698643/JL-Audio-RD1500-1.html

Q
Can I use a JL Audio JX1000/D with this subwoofer??
hector  Oct 07, 2023
1 answer
A
I would not advise it, Hector. This JL Audio CS113TG-TW5v2 can handle 600-watts RMS maximum at 2-ohms, and the JX1000/D puts out 1,000-watts RMS into that impedance. You would be overpowering your JL subwoofer by 400-watts, and that would void your warranty so we will not recommend this as a pairing. For the absolute best performance without overpowering, I would use the JL Audio XDM600/1 in the link below which delivers exactly the 600-watts RMS we need to the JL Audio subwoofer. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13698683/JL-Audio-XDM600-1.html

Q
Can i use the XD700/5v2 to power this subwoofer?
arturo  Apr 03, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Arturo, and thank you for your question. Technically yes, but you would be on the lower end of the subwoofers power range.
hogan  Apr 03, 2023 (Staff)
Q
Can I use the XD3001V2 to power this subwoofer without it distorting high volume ?
silvano  Jun 26, 2022
1 answer
A
Greetings Laura, and thank you for your question. The XD300/1 is right around the CS113TG-TW5v2 subwoofers minimum power requirement. It can power this subwoofer, but not to the fullest. To do that you would, want the XD600/1.

Q
I want to use two of these Cs113Tg-Tw5V2 paired with a JL Audio RD1500/1, do I hook up these in serial @1ohm or parallel @4ohm? Whatâ??s best?
patrick  Apr 27, 2022
1 answer
A
Wiring them in parallel for a 1-ohm load will give you the best power match using the JL Audio RD1500/1.

It's a bit long when laying down flat so it may stick out but call netaudio and talk to them. these guys-can make you a box they make custom box's for cheap and can probably fit a full size sub. The jl sub your looking at sounds decent but doesn't hit like like you think it's gonna unless you do two of them I returned mine

Q
Will this fit in a 2010 f150 extended cab?
logan  Feb 28, 2021

A
It fit under the back seat of my 2017 Ford F150 Crew cab with no issue. My seat is longer then your extended cab. Check behind the seat and find out how much room you have, this are pretty slim.

A
I have a single cab tacoma 06 and it fits very snug behind my seat, and restricts me from moving the seat all the way back, without crushing the metal cage
byron  Mar 01, 2021
A
Yes I used to have a extended cab it should under the seat but it will stick out pass the seat a little

Will this fit a 19 Colorado crew cab?
matt  Apr 29, 2020

I'm sorry, but we do not have fitment measurements for subwoofers in vehicles. Feel free to chat with an Advisor online or by phone at 1-800-324-9695. There are times that we will have measurements available to store a sub enclosure in some vehicle, but that is not always the case. An Advisor will be happy to check to see if we have that information on your truck.

Q
Does this fit in a 2017 Toyota tundra double cab?
christopher  Jun 08, 2019
1 answer
A
Hi Christopher! Unfortunately we don't check vehicle fitment for subwoofers, unless they are a custom style enclosure that is vehicle specific. We do however, have some measurements to go by for most cars/trucks/SUV's. From comparing the measurements we have available for your Tundra, this particular sub probably isn't going to be the best fit. You do have some space under the left/rear seat of your truck, and these are the measurements we have found that you would be able to work with. Width-30", height-6":, depth (front to rear)-16", and bottom-16". For best results, you would benefit from looking into a more compact sub, designed to fit under a seat. Any of our advisors will be happy to help you out with finding what will work best for you, Christopher. You chat with us online, or give us a call at 1-800-324-9695!

Well sort of. I had to permanently remove the grill and slightly notch the box to fit around the center seat belt bracket. Works great.
