Great bass without the loss of space

It may look like something from a sci-fi movie, but JL Audio's CS210G-TW3 dual 10” sub enclosure is actually a design marvel. JL Audio put a shallow-mount TW3 10” subwoofer into each end of a sealed enclosure that takes up much less room than conventional dual 10" subwoofer boxes. This system handles up to 800 watts RMS so it'll deliver that fat low end you want, while its dual 8-ohm speaker terminals can be wired to a 4-ohm load for a single amplifier channel.

JL Audio 10TW3 subwoofer

JL's 10" TW3 shallow-mount sub fits inside their newly designed enclosure.

JL Audio used their extensive engineering know-how to build a super-thin subwoofer that still offers big performance, compressing the sub's motor structure into a shallow package without losing the extended excursion you need to deliver big bass. For you, that means impressive bass in a slender package.

One tough sub enclosure

While they may have cut the corners on the medium density fiberboard (MDF) enclosure, JL didn't cut corners on quality. They incorporated their V-Groove™ construction to ensure rigid box joints that won't leak air or resonate. Combined with the slim subs, this new design gives you a sturdy sub box that doesn't take all your cargo space. JL finished off this ProWedge enclosure with tough polymer grilles on each end that completely protect the subwoofers, unique for an enclosed subwoofer design.

Enclosed Subwoofers 101

An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.

Enclosure: The two JL Audio 10TW3-D4 subwoofers are mounted in the ends of the enclosure, firing in opposite directions. This opposed driver configuration effectively cancels vibration and movement of the enclosure. Each woofer's dual 4Ω voice coils are internally wired in series to present an 8Ω load at each of the two terminals. The two terminals can then be wired in parallel (to present a 4Ω load) or series (to present a 16Ω load).

Terminal: The enclosure features two pair of 5-way binding posts on the left side, one for each woofer. They will accept pin connectors, spade connectors, single banana plugs, dual banana plugs (standard 3/4" width), and bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Enclosure Dimensions:

  • Width: 12-7/16"
  • Height: 14-1/4"
  • Depth: 17-5/8"
