Doing what it's designed to do
I ordered this stealth box from a local JL audio dealer. I have had it for about 2 months now. Before I start with my review I would like to name the products I have along with the stealth box to give a visual. I have the JL audio xd 700/5 amp mounted underneath the driver seat along with focal access 165a1 6.5 components up front and access 6.5 coaxial's in the rear. The rears are faded for rear fill. Anywho, the stealth box does what it's desogned to do. There is absolutely no space used up and you cannot tell that a sub is even present. As far as sound quality goes, it does a good job. It fills the low end and sounds clean. The sub does not have high power output; it is made for low to moderate power sound systems which is perfect for a PT Cruiser, although with this comes some compromise because some of the big bass notes aren't as accurate as it's big brothers (w3, w6, w7). A sub like this needs to be tuned properly to get the most out of it. Overall, I enjoy listening to this sub. It plays subtle notes with good clarity and it can surprisingly play big bass notes with clarity (but not all). I also have some rattling on certain songs which I plan to fix with sound deadening. If you're looking for a clean sub that doesn't take up any space and doesn't shake the block, it's worth the money. Overall I am happy with the purchase. It makes me curious as to what the 10w1v3 sounds like.
Pros: Takes up absolutely no space and the subwoofer is not seen. Also plays very clean bass notes which is expected of jl audio.
Cons: Big bass notes (some) become less accurate as you turn the volume up.
