Nice Sound - Poor Color match
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Have to say the sub sounds nice with the recommended matched JL amp for it, so no complaints there. Was a bit disappointed with the color match of the carpet though... seems none of the colors really match (this was the least bad match, but it is pretty poor for my interior, thinking of looking into carpet paint if such a thing exists to see if I can match it better myself). Install was straight forward, but it came with a sticky square of rubbery material and it gave no indication of where that would be used, and it was not even listed in the bill-of-materials. I'm thinking it may be for sealing the factory hole if the installation requires you to drill an alternate hole, but I'm just guessing. Overall, if you are looking for decent bass in a very small area that does not consume your trunk, this works well, but don't expect a rug color match if you have the taupe/beige interior.
Pros: sounds good for its size. Installation was a bit involved, but very straight forward.
Cons: rug color is a very poor match for the interior, so the sub sort of sticks out like a sore thumb and is very noticeable.
