For outstanding sound in your boat
Get more out of your maritime music experience with high-performance JL Audio marine speakers. These massive M880-CCX 8.8" marine speakers combine durable design with outstanding sound reproduction. You can mount them in your boat's cockpit or bulkhead walls, either as stand-alones or in conjunction with a subwoofer.
Built for marine conditions
These rugged speakers deliver powerful output that'll cut through the combination of wind, water, and engine noise. The weatherproof cone is suspended in a durable synthetic rubber surround for great sound and long life. The UV-resistant polymer basket protects the entire structure and ensures that the white grilles will look factory-fresh even after years of punishing sunlight. All JL Audio marine speakers are designed to meet or exceed industry standards for salt, fog, and moisture resistance.
The polymer basket protects the sub's inner works, and the UV-resistant grille will stay white for years.
No compromises on sound quality
These big, beefy coaxial speakers offer a huge performance advantage over conventional 6.5" marine coaxials and even JL's already-impressive 7.7" models. Thanks to 36% more cone area and almost double the excursion capability, the M880-CCX's are capable of +6 dB greater low-frequency output than the M770-CCX speakers.
The bass is so impressive that the M880-CCX really doesn't need a subwoofer to pump out serious low-frequency thump. But if you do use a subwoofer, you'll hear vastly better dynamics and mid-bass impact. If you want big, full sound on your boat, these speakers, combined with a subwoofer, are a great choice.
The 1.2" treated-silk dome tweeters render brilliant highs, and they're mounted directly to the grilles for optimal sound radiation. You'll hear all the details of your music, even when the throttle is forward and you're skimming over the waves. High-quality, true 2-way crossovers make the woofer and tweeter work in perfect concert. You don't have to worry about mounting the crossovers — they're attached directly to the woofer basket.
