Additional Information
Installation Kit Owner's Manual: The Owner's Manual provides instructions for installation and hints on selecting a mounting location.
Compass: Using the supplied compass, you can find the direction to the satellite from your location.
RG-6 Coaxial Cables: 25' and 75' lengths of RG-6 cable are provided to connect the satellite dish to your receiver, via the grounding block. Typically, the 75' cable connects the satellite dish to the grounding block, and the 25' cable runs from the grounding block to your receiver. Note: If you wish to install two receivers, you will need two of each of these cables.
Expansion Anchors: Using the expansion anchors, you can mount the dish on a surface of solid concrete or solid brick (not the mortar between the bricks). Note: Use toggle anchors (not included in the kit) to mount the dish on cinder or concrete block. Do not use expansion anchors for this purpose.
Lag Screws: Use the lag screws to mount the dish on a wood surface or on the foundation material under a solid siding surface.
Grounding Block: For proper grounding, the RG-6 cable runs from the grounding block to your satellite receiver. The RG-6 cable running from the satellite dish to the grounding block has a messenger grounding wire, which is also attached to the grounding block. Additionally, the aluminum grounding wire runs from the grounding block to the grounding system. Note: You must use a dual grounding block with a dual-output LNB.
Grounding Wire: Use the grounding wire to link the grounding block to the grounding system. Note: You must use a similar wire to link the mast to the grounding system. Please, follow the National Electrical Code and all local electrical codes.
Silicone Sealant: Use the silicone sealant to seal any holes you drill into the building when you wire the dish to the receiver.
