Q
Would this work with an aftermarket radio? I want to connect an amp to it.

A
The much better way to connect an aftermarket stereo to an aftermarket amplifier is to use RCA cables from the stereo's pre-amp outputs. Q
So there's 9 different colored wires 2wires to a speaker and they travel to the receiver? They are all bundled in one plastic tube which I cut & take off so they can be separated? Since I don't have an amp do I have to use that wire? And all I gotta do is match them to the same color wires on my receiver?

If you are not using an amp and are wiring a receiver to speakers wether aftermarket or factory you do not need the EFX 9 speaker wire. You should be able to use the factory wiring

If I'm reading this correctly, you're asking if you have to use all the wires. You can cut the outer wrap to expose the inner 9 wires and only use the ones you need. When I did my stereo project, I used separate power and ground wires along with this 9-wire cable.

The bundle of wires is a easy way to hook up a amp to a stock receiver with no RCAs. It is a four speaker set up. four + and four - and one to turn on the amp a remote wire. If your not using a amp and need to run new speaker wires then yes you will have to separate the wires. These wires are probley not going to match your stock receiver or aftermarket. Sometime they match but of the time no.

You will use only 8 wires that should be the same color for your stereo. But I would double check. The blue wire which I beleive your talking about won't be used unless you were hooking up an amp. That would turn your amp on when the head unit powers up.

How many watts does the 9-wire 18 gauge set of speaker wire handle?

A
I used this wire to send audio output from my car stereo to my 250watt amp. The run was about 12'. It worked perfect, and I highly recommend. Since it was only audio signal output it was only handling 45watts per wire

I'm putting 100rms through each channel with no problems.

Q
can this connect aftermarket head unit to factory bmww dsp amp?

A
As long as the amp uses regular speaker wire connections you should be able to use that 9-wire.
