Hooray - it works and installation was hassle-free
1999 Mazda Miata
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I had been looking around for a while for a radio upgrade for our "like new" '99 Miata, but the Bose stereo system is tricky. You can't just replace the radio because the speaker system is an unusual low-ohm system, plus there's a pre-amp. Crutchfield included this little gizmo at no charge when we bought our radio, and just as described it was easy to adjust the levels to make the new radio compatible with the pre-amp. The new radio looks great, works perfectly, and now we have bluetooth, hands-free phone, and awesome sound thanks to an interface I never would have thought of but that Crutchfield AUTOMATICALLY included when I designated my car as a '99 Miata with the Bose system. (Crutchfield is simply awesome.)
Pros: Works great, hassle free to install, has a place to mount it with screws if desired
Cons: none. Once installed it's invisible.
