Features
Compatibility: The Scosche DCGM16B GM Chime and Data Integration Interface enables the installation of an aftermarket radio without retaining the factory radio. This device replicates the factory warning chime, provides a data-bus integrated 12-volt accessory powered output that is fully compatible with GM's Retain Accessory Power (RAP) system. The RAP function keeps the aftermarket radio powered up after the key has been turned off or until a door is open, as it did with the factory radio installed. The interface also issues data commands that maintain a "Healthy" system status to the vehicle's system check.
Note: This interface does not retain OnStar.
Compatibility: The DCGM16B interface is compatible with the following GM vehicles.
- Chevrolet: 2005-2006 Equinox
- Pontiac: 2006 Torrent
Note: Please check the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to confirm compatibility with your vehicle.
Interface: The DCGM16B interface includes a module box and an attached 17" harness.
- Module Box: The module box measures 4.425" wide x 1.09" tall x 1.521" deep. The box has a total of 4 wires connected to the end of it. A single, bare, red 12-volt lead and three other wires attached to the harness. The module box has no controls.
- Harness: The interface includes a 24-pin harness with 11 wire leads. The harness attaches to the module box with the 12-volt constant wire (yellow), ground wire (black) and RAP wire (purple/white). The harness also includes front and rear, left and right speaker leads.
Note: The 12-volt accessory output is rated only at 2-amps. It is designed for the new aftermarket radio only. If any additional circuits are required, and optional relay is needed.
Factory Subwoofer: If your factory radio includes a subwoofer, the remote turn-on wire from the new head unit must be spliced into the factory harness; this interface has no provision to turn on the subwoofer's amplifier.

this item works as expected. couldn't be happier to have my very basic factory stereo out and my stereo system in...including a single cd deck, 6-disc changer, sirius satelite radio, amp and 10" sub.
