About the Scosche FGA Floating Ground Adapter

Dave Delamere

Add a high-power car stereo to your older Ford vehicle

You'd like to install a new stereo in your older vehicle, but your factory system was designed for a low-power radio with speakers that share a negative ground connection. Scosche's FGA floating ground adapter compensates for this setup, allowing you to connect your new stereo safely. You'll also enjoy your new stereo's higher power. Warranty: 1 year

Q
I need to hook up an older 8 Track to a new amp. Does this work in reverse where the common ground needs to be split out from the older unit to a modern amp?

A
This part will not work to install a floating ground radio to a modern amp. At the time of this post, we do not sell an adapter that will work. This could change in the future and I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to check
