Want to jam out to tunes on your iPod or iPhone but your car stereo doesn't offer a convenient connection? The Scosche tuneFREQ docking FM transmitter gives you an easy option for sending music from your Apple device to your car radio. This handy little device also gives you hands-free calling for your iPhone, and it'll charge your iPod or iPhone so you have plenty of juice when you reach your destination.
Plugs right in
You plug the tuneFREQ into your car's cigarette lighter, then adjust the flexible neck so your device is positioned for optimal viewing. Simply slide your Apple device onto the pin connector and connect the included 3.5mm cable to the iPod/iPhone headphone jack the cradle's side arms offer added security for the road.
Finding the station
The 3.5mm connector cable sends the audio from your iPod/iPhone to the dock's FM transmitter. You can tune the tuneFREQ manually in increments of 0.1 MHz to find a clear band, or let its auto-scan technology find the best broadcast frequency. You can program up to 4 frequencies to reduce search time when you encounter static. Once you're tuned in, the tuneFREQ will broadcast any audio from your device to your car radio, including calls and voice directions from navigation apps.
More handy features
The tuneFREQ also features a 3.5mm audio input for sending audio from other devices through the FM transmitter, and a 3.5mm audio output to connect to car stereos with an aux in connection. A built-in USB charging port lets you charge an additional portable device while using the tuneFREQ.
