This Scosche integration adapter replaces your console, and it's a perfect match for the color, texture, and contours of the blue dash in your Honda. The adapter allows you to install an aftermarket DIN-sized (2" tall) stereo, with a pocket underneath, or double-DIN (4" tall) stereo, while maintaining all Honda heating, ventilation, and air conditioning controls. As I transferred components to the new adapter, twisting the self-tapping screws into the holes, I could hear a snapping sound. Upon close inspection I could see that the plastic had actually cracked so the screw was no longer held in place as firmly as would otherwise be the case. And I had to manually file the opening of a couple of components to make them fit properly. This was most notable on the climate controls where the buttons on the entire second row would stick when pressed. Good thing I checked this before installing the adapter in the dash. Given all this, I was holding my breath that the thing would actually align properly when the time came to install it. As it turned out, it was a perfect fit. Pros: Good color match; Perfect fit in the dash Cons: holes are off a little...nearly all of them. Plastic receiving holes for screws tend to split and crack. Was this review helpful? The only "issue" I had was that I underestimated the amouth of force for it to snap in to place, a little elbow grease and ta-da. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 3 out of 5 it works... Written By Jason, Denton, TX on Tuesday, September 02, 2008 Installation is pretty simple. My AC button in the bottom right corner stuck after installing. I had to file down that corner to allow the button to be pushed and not stick. Color is not an exact match but it looks okay. I used the sleeve that came with my receiver instead of screwing my radio directly to the brackets, it pushes the top part of the brackets out, but the screws in the bottom pocket keep it tight. 36 out of 38 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
