Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I used these for my 79 Monte where the 4x10 were not cutting it. They held up 6x9's perfectly. Good product.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The spring clips that are supposed to hold the speaker and adapter in place do not fit. The 2 wires should straddle each side of the magnet, but only 1 wire touches the speaker housing and the other is floating in air when the final connection is made. It's the same on both sides and the Crutchfield advisor had no advice. I offered to send pictures, but he said they will check it out internally.

It was very difficult to make the final wire connection under the factory tab and there isn't much spring metal under the tab. The directions and pictures from Scosche don't match what I received, but the advisor said it is correct nonetheless.

Nothing comes in the package to secure the speaker to the adapter and there is no suggested method. This is certainly not the "plug and play" installation I thought it would be.
