This is the perfect kit needed for an install. I recently installed a DD receiver

bought it mainly for the multi-bit drvier, crimper/wire stripper and trim panel removal tool and used it in my 07 honda pilot to replace the factory cd/radio unit with pioneer avh-p4000dvd plus cd/dvd changer, hd radio add-on, wireless back-up camera, i-pod cable adaptor. saving it for next car a/v diy project.

This is a nice set of tools to have and the price is probably within reason. However I was a bit surprised that there wasn't a 10mm hex bit - it has a 7 & an 8 but no 10 and 10 is probably more in demand. Also the handle on the driver could be more useful as to store the bits rather than have the little holder - it's about useless from being a practical piece other than appearing nice in the package.

Came in handy. I ordered it not knowing what tools would be needed. But it turned out I only needed the wire cutter/stripper tool, all the other tools were of no use to me but I will keep them on hand for future projects.

Bought this with a radio for the wire stripper/crimper but realized too late
that I didn't need it as I already have one. Upon arrival I decided to use the
items since it was at hand with all the other things for the radio, like the
wire harnesses.
The crimper is of medium to poor quality. Its somewhat hard to open due to the
center rivet being too tight.
If you don't have the tools then you'll need this kit. Otherwise don't bother.

This set is OK for the one time use, but if you are going to be doing multiple installs, buy quality stuff. There is a severe lack of driver bits, so much so that I had to use my Craftsman set instead, because only one of the bits in this set was the right size. The crimper/striper works fine and the panel remover will come in handy. I didn't even take the plastic wrap off of the multimeter, however. Again, for one or two time use, it's a good set, otherwise, spend your money on something that will last.

I agree with Dave from VA, don't buy this kit to replace more than one radio or 2 sets of speakers. The plastic trim tool is great and helped prevent damage to plastic trim. It was useless after installing a head unit and 4 speakers. The wire stripper/crimper just makes it, it is on the cheap side, but so is this kit and maybe that's all most of us use it for.

I bought this set mainly for the cheap multimeter. I was going to use it in a navigation installation (a one time use) and it turned out to be no more than a waste of time and money. This is a collection of the worst tools you will ever see. The multimeter display is poor at best. The digits are incomplete and they flash. The probes are flimsy and cheap. The two arms of the crimpers are bent and misaligned so they cannot be used to strip wires or crimp...useless. You get what you pay for with this. Spend the money and buy some real tools.
